grateful
-for a Bob sighting
-to end the day on a calm note
-my mom was cheery when I called and happy to be reminded her 96th birthday is tomorrow
-to be able to listen to my sister with an open heart as she shared painful news of her grandson
-the family is all healthy and remaining sheltered at home
-for friendly chats with neighbors as I walk around and around
-to share recipes with an old friend and reminisce about our days of vegetable gardening together (she has a mini farm now)
-for hope

Tonight, on this last night of April, I'm grateful for:

-Bob!! How wonderful to "see" your face!! So hope your upcoming surgery is helpful
-A perfect day today ... sunshine and low 70s ... aaaaaaah
-Driving with my sunroof open and sun hitting my head and shoulders
-Taking a wonderful walk at the cemetery today ... still no people (well, live people) but for the landscapers
-The video presentation that Dr. Sanjay Gupta did for my company; I like his calm voice of reason though some of what he had to say is certainly a bit scary
-Because my CEO is friends with him, I know now that we won't be going back into the office any time soon, which is A-OK by me as I like working at home
-Cooking myself a wonderful dinner tonight, complete with leftovers
-My soft, comfortable bed, with some kitty lumps I see from a distance, all calling me now

Goodnight all,
Stephanie

I hope all of you are well and healthy! I have been thinking of all of you often, hoping to go on and post. I got hit upside the head with something, right after my last post and couldnt return.

Stephanie, so sorry for your eye problems! They are no fun. Yay kitty snuggles!

Today I am thankful for:

I am really amazed and thankful for the efforts made by the majority of Americans. So many people have stepped up and isolated themselves despite the hardships, both financial, social, and emotional. The people protesting get the press, but 82% of people still think we should continue, which is just amazing. As a high-risk person, it gives me a lot of comfort.

I am so thankful, that I can have a back procedure a week from Friday, instead of having to put it off for months like last year. With that said, I have been really bummed that the area of my back pain has come back early. I was really hoping Id have the spring before it came back.

Im really glad I posted here today. I usually cant post until Im out of a low, but with a little work, a pain killer, sunshine returning, here I am. Yay!

my neck procedure has worked better than I thought it would. A lot of pain relief! No idea how long it will last, but such a blessing now!

my music services! Recently I saw a Youtube video heard a song, found the name of it and was listening to the album right away. A day ago a character in a book said they were listening to a certain artist, and I looked it up and realized it was just what my wife like, and I was playing it at breakfast, to a chorus of oohs and ahhhs! Just amazing.

Take care, Bob

Today I'm grateful for:

-Chuckling at myself and being happy for all of you exercising self-restraint in the midst of my own lack thereof for a few days! Gotta let it go and move on ...
-Getting through the scare of a blood vessel that burst in my eye; it ain't pretty and it freaked me out when I looked in the mirror. I'm told (and trusting) that it's not a big deal
-Sitting in the parking lot again today waiting for Cleo to see the vet; a new prescription to try
-Kitty hugs, as I've certainly had no other for weeks
-Listening to the big winds outside all day and seeing the bushes sway in the wind; not using to being able to see and hear Mother Nature while I'm working
-Staying in close touch with my mother and sister
-Talking to my brother on his birthday

Have a great evening all -
Stephanie

-Continued success in the midst of my third 9-week maintenance challenge
-Learning about SparkPeople recipe for banana soft serve ice cream ... incredible chocolate banana ice cream with 3 ingredients - banana, cocoa powder, vanilla

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-A lovely time on the deck last night, listening to the cacophony of frogs under the stunning full moon
-Playing fetch so much with Rosie today that she's been zonked out on the bed since right after her dinner, so cute
-Cleo having fun trying to catch the red dot, her favorite laser toy we play with
-Cassie purring away as she got her snuggling time in my arms with both paws around my neck, like a little baby!
-A walk in the park after I got done working today on a gorgeous day, but my oh my, it was 86 out there
-Tomorrow is my Friday this week; I will get two 4-day work weeks in a row, and I must say they're needed right now

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-A lovely walk at lunch in the sunshine, seeing tulips, daffodils, red bud trees, tulip trees, and everything else that's "springing"
-A lot of veggie prep last night that will make it much easier this week: I broiled asparagus and steamed broccoli and chopped tri-color baby potatoes
-Taking a 30-minute bike ride after I stopped working today, amazed at the decrease in traffic with the stay-at-home order in place
-Good conversation with my favorite neighbor (from a distance)
-Sweet Rosie, who now seems to be concerned any time I leave (guess she's getting used to me being home all the time); it's affecting our animals too
-E-mail exchanges with my mother today
-The VERY loud frogs out in my water garden still "in action" - plan to enjoy that by the light of the full moon a bit later
-Hope that the VA in LA is finally going to allow my sister (essential counseling staff) to work remotely for at least part of the time

Have a great evening all -
Stephanie

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Setting technology boundaries, as working from home started to blur my professional and my personal life, something I've worked hard to keep separate
-Getting a grip (again) and pulling myself up by my bootstraps after a rough day
-Knowing that some days are going to be better than others (hence, some will be worse)
-Plan B, I almost always have at least a Plan B, if not C, D, E and F as well
-Carefully selecting what I put in my brain (news, TV, books, etc.)
-These adorable kitties ... just one look from them and I'm smiling

Have a great evening all -

Happy April! I always think this is the real start of spring, even though outside is still pretty cold for us.

thankful for: the time to rest and recover from the Shingrix shot... last one I had to have, hurrah! and lucky to get it, they've been out of stock forever.

thankful that the family is well taken care of and they have plenty to eat and plenty of tp. So fortunate.

Happy to be here sharing gratitudes with all of you.
