I'm reading a non-fiction book now "The Emotion Code" by Bradley Nelson. It's a subject that interests me and I want to learn more about it.

The next book in my fiction pile to read is "Twilight". I like the vampire otherworldly type books for a bit of light reading.

Figure out where you want to be, then work backwards from there.

Just finished "Life Expectancy" (Dean Koontz) and I loved it. It reminded me of that show "Pushing Daisies" that has, sadly, been canceled. The characters in the book just seemed so much like the ones in the show.

Next up? Probably something Sesame-Street related, lol. I'm going to see about re-reading something I already have on my shelf. I'm waiting for the latest Diana Gabaldon Outlander book to come out in paperback. If it's out already, then I'm waiting for my next paycheck to buy it!

Dracula The Un-Dead by Dacre Stoker and Ian Holt

Stoker is the great grand-nephew of the original's author Bram Stoker and Holt is a Dracula documentarian(?) and historian.

Its onlt marginally better than the original and I don't like how the authors have "played" with the original nor what they've done to the characters.

Almost finished with Jim Butchers Wizard for Hire, Part one, "Storm Front" published originally in 2000. The second part two, is "Fool Moon which I had already finished published in 2001 and then I will start "Grave Peril" also published in 2001. I have two more volumes like this one and at least one part in each book I have not yet read. These are part of the Dresden File series.

It is a paper back anthology type thing, 4 short novellas under one cover. If you like Laurell Hamilton you will like them. I found them a little heavy on the sex but still entertaning reads. In my library they are filed under title rather than author so it was under Bite instead of Laurell Hamilton the first author in the book.

Finished Grave Site and started Grave Secret by Charlaine Harris. Another of the Harper Connelly stories. Got a call from the library and took four books back to pick up one and also got 3 more Butcher Books. When I got them home I discovered they are actually some of the first ones he wrote on the Dresden files. 2 or 3 titles each. Of the three books I have read 3 titles out of seven. Evanovich does the same thing, I don't like it a bit. emoticon

We have to know that sometimes people will let us down. Caring about others and loving others takes risk and probably more than we have in us most of the time. But I think the more we put out there, we'll have something returned greater than we could have imagined.

The reference librarian at my local library is a mystery fan. She recently came running up to me announcing that she found a new author, Deborah Crombie, I've read a few of her books and am now reading MOURN NOT YOUR DEAD. Each book is an entity unto itself; however, there is a romantic story development between the sergeant, Gemma James and her Superintendent, Duncan Kincaid, so these books are best read in the order they were written. Google STOP YOUR KILLING ME to find the order of publication. emoticon

I'm really hoping to finish Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer this week. Also hoping to find her Breaking Dawn under the tree.

I read Forbidden Falls by Robyn Carr last night. It's the newest in her Virgin River series.
I'm going to start While My Sister Sleeps by Barbara Delinsky or Lavender Morning by Jude Deveraux this evening.
