A cat is no good isolated in one room, and any mishap with distraction and wha la, screaming fight.

When someone moves in with a policy in place they can be held accountable, but if it is a new policy, I think she should have kept her mouth shut and just kept 2 of her cats out at a time. Your having them won't work out.

Best to you,
the p tiger

Thanks for the comment! I have called every no kill shelter from Southern MD to Baltimore. They are all full because it is kitten season and so many have surrendered older pets due to economic reasons. I am keeping him but he has to stay in my laundry room because of my kitties and I am not home. :(

Heidi,
I have a cat and dog myself, but there are animal rescue groups you can find online and seek out a foster family at the very least.

She would do better to find someone perhaps who recently lost a pet or could use one near you. Good luck!

I live in Maryland. Where I work they have implemented a policy of 2 pets per home. One of our staff has 4 pets. I can not take her 8 year old declawed male because I: have clawed cats who fight each other, have 2 small kids who will not leave him alone, & I have a dachshund that chases everything. I am going to foster him but he will live in my laundry room and that is not ideal for a forever home. He lost his 1st owner 4 years ago when she passed. She was elderly and stayed home with him but did not pick him up. I have been told he likes to be rubbed but not picked up.
I have tried every no kill shelter and no one is taking cats - too full. Please help, I want him to be happy, not stashed in a laundry room while Iam at work!
