I'm pretty new to OA and am not sure about the steps and traditions yet. The group I started in did more out of Voices of Recovery and For Today using the readings and workbook questions to lead the discussion. I actually haven't been to a meeting since September because of job change and inability to go to it anymore. I found a group that I can go to that focuses on the steps and traditions so getting excited again. I'm going Saturday . I live in a rural area so not only does it need to be a convenient time but I need to be able to drive 30-60 minutes to get to them.

Anyway, not sure if that is an appropriate response but it is what I have to offer.
Thanks for listening. Have a happy day, hugs:0)

I believe in you.
Have a Happy Day! HUGS

KPHEALTYFORLIFE....I need to follow suit. Holding myself accountable. Most of my procrastination in thinking there is always tomorrow. It's not promised.

I apply Step 12 to my everyday by being active on our team. I never want anyone to feel alone in this disease.

I also talk about my program and how much my life is better in recovery!

Step 12: Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to compulsive overeaters and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

Tradition 12: Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of our program, always ensuring principles before personalities. This means that OA itself is not anonymous, but its members are. There are no exceptions. While OA may be publicized, we do not break our individual anonymity at the level of press, radio, films, television, and all public media of communication, and the recognizable facial exposure of persons identifying as OA members at the level of press, films, television, and all public media of communication is a violation of our tradition of anonymity, even though the first name only is given or the entire name is withheld. WSBC Policy 1980b (Amended 2013)

Spiritual Principle 12: Spirituality

How do you practice Step 12 in your life?
