No I never cried but I did talk myself out of a ticket once. I was moving - relocating and had a truck full of furniture. It just so happen the officer was in the same process. We laughed about it and he only give me a warning.

I'm not a crier, or a flirter and didn't have to do either to get out of a ticket...not that I would have anyway!
But I DID get out of a ticket many years ago when I used to ride a motorcycle. I was wearing a weatherproof suit, and had a full-face visor on my helmet when a cop stopped me, and the officer asked me "do you know what speed you were doing sonny?"
When I removed my helmet to answer him, and my long hair cascaded down over my shoulders, it was the officer...who in his surprise...said, "Oh! You're not a "sonny"!!!
I replied politely, and it was HIS decision to give me a warning rather than a ticket for my speeding (doing 40 in a 35)

No....a couple years ago I got stopped for going 75 in a 70 mile zone...heading in to the Y to do a lap swimming workout. Was only in a swimsuit and short cover-up. He asked me if I was in a hurry to get somewhere and I told him no I was just going in for a swim, and that when I passed his car I checked my speedometer and realized I was going 5 miles over the limit. I was very respectful, apologetic, etc. He checked my registration and told me to be careful with my speed and sent me on my way without a warning or ticket. When I got home, I realized that my inspection sticker was a couple months out of date. emoticon

We took care of that immediately! Still don't know whether he missed it, or was simply being lenient. Seems like if he noticed it, he would have mentioned it, but I still wonder.

No, I'm not that kind of guy! If I ever did, they probably take me in for observation!

QUOTE: “It is always important to know when something has reached its end. Closing circles, shutting doors, finishing chapters, it doesn’t matter what we call it; what matters is to leave in the past those moments in life that are over.” ~ Paulo Coelho

QUESTION: Have you ever...cried / flirted my way out of a speeding ticket?

No, I am not that girl.

Sorry I didn’t get a chance to start things off on Friday. It was crazy busy with two of my co-workers being out (one sick and the other on vacation). Positive thing this weekend is that I FINALLY got my Christmas cards written out. I need to get them addressed and get the pictures and our little update in there and we can finally get them in the mail. I hate getting it done this late, but I just kept putting it off with all the glitter. I wanted to go to see my Aunt Karen (my mom’s best friend) perform on Saturday night, but as it got closer to time, I got more and more depressed and was crying a lot. I realized I had not been back into town since my Mom’s funeral and I simply could not do it. Instead we took the time to watch 2 of my favorite Christmas movies...Miracle on 34th Street (the original one with Maureen O’Hara) and It’s a Wonderful Life. I wanted to watch Shop Around the Corner, but I can’t find it anywhere. I hate that I can’t find it and may have to replace it. We managed to get our Christmas tree up and decorated. I lost it when I found Mom’s Christmas ornament with her name on it. My aunt made them for us years ago when I was a child. Mine didn’t make it but mom’s did.

On another note, my new inspiration walks the halls every weekday morning and at lunch. I think she walks some during breaks too, but she walks 10 miles at work everyday. I noticed while walking a little with her that I really need to make sure I have my sneakers. She is definitely inspiring me to move more and get a handle on things.

Take Care and God bless,

Tracey W.
