I forgot to post last week, after meeting my initial goal for Christmas. I'm still staying on track, despite giving into a couple holiday temptations. I lost another 3 pounds last week.

I still have to lose at least 4-5 more pounds to meet my December 30 goal, so I'll be where I wanted to be when we leave on our cruise!

How's everyone else doing? Keep up the good work, and stay motivated through the holidays everyone!

Lost the 3 pounds this past week! Meaning I met my goal. My next goal is to try to lose 10 more pounds by Dec 30. (Then I will be on vacation for 2.5 weeks!)

I actually went out and RAN yesterday. Ran 5 and then walked three,repeat, total 50 min PLUS I went to the gym on Friday. This is serious, haven't been since May!!!! We live on a lake and it is soooooo hard to go in the summer but that was ridiculous! 10 more days before we leave for the cruise!

I didn't do as good this week, but I didn't do too bad considering it was Thanksgiving week. 3 more pounds to go! The colder weather certainly isn't helping my joints though.

I got up to two hrs on my run walk thing before getting sick blew that out of the water. Did walk around Chicago plus 40 min on the eliptical in the gym this morning. And I have started back doing Jillian michaels.

Back on track! 5 more pounds to go. Recovered well after vacation, and thinking a lot of the weight gain was water due to the high sodium in the restaurant foods. Not planning on doing much for thanksgiving this year, so this week shouldn't be too rough.

I blew it while on vacation. It was too hard eating out for nearly every meal each day. I'm back to my healthier meals now that I'm home. I'm still on track for my goal, but definitely behind where I really could have been without this vacation. 11.5 pounds to go, so I took a small step backward.

I made my goal last week. So I'm still on track. This week could be tough. We're in Orlando this week, taking the "mother in law" to the Disney parks. Eating out every day will be challenging. Hopefully the walking in the parks will help make up for it, but with her along we probably will only see the minimum amount because she moves slowly and tires easily.

I got up to 1:55 of walk 3 run 2, supposed to do 2 yesterday but grandchildren came over at 1:10, going out today to do the two and then adding a minute a day for running

strength training? what's that?

13 more pounds to go! Still on track.

I need to start up my strength training again too. But it's going to have to wait a couple weeks. That has been one of the difficult things for me to stick with.

Today's the last day to "officially" join the Christmas challenge, and set a goal to meet by Christmas!

here is my challenge and I began last Monday
started with one hour, walk 3 run 2, finish with 15 min walk
add five minutes per day up to two hours with 15 min walk
then will add one minute per day of running until I get to two hours, then (hopefully) will add another minute per day to get to two hours of walk 1, run 4,
rest days will happen, this will probably be 5-6 days a week
my challenge will be when we travel, it is very hard to carve out two hours then

I am still on track too. I have walked consistently. Today I got in 3 miles plus a bunch more exercise. I am tired tonight!

Awesome job...just wish I had more time to really jump in! Keep on Sparking!

Have now hit two goals! Over one year of not smoking and am below the 150lb mark! Just hit my third goal, under 140lbs! 03/27/09 hit the 50 pounds lost goal!

My goal is to continue walking at least 1 mile a day until Christmas. By doing this, I am hoping I will stay motivated in other areas and have the weight adjust accordingly! Ideally, I would like to be around 165 lbs by then.

Anyone on this team up for a Christmas Challenge?

Post a goal here. Then post a weekly update.

You don't have to post your weight. It doesn't necessarily have to be a weight loss goal. It should be activity or healthy habit related though.

You can join any time between now and Halloween. Let's say by Monday, November 1 , 2010. That gives at least 8 weeks for everyone who does join by then to meet their goal.

I was at 285 on Monday. I need to be at no more than 250 by Christmas. So my goal is to lose at least 35 pounds in the 16 weeks between now and then.

In the previous 6 weeks I have lost 17 pounds, so I am right on target to meet this goal if I continue to stay motivated. I could use some company to keep me going!
