I feel very bad for all the people forced off work. Our church pantry has many new applicants.

We are. I've stopped walking for the interim but I have been working pretty much in the yard. I thought that exercise might replace the 10,000 or so daily steps, but no. I have to cut back on my diet because I have put on several pounds.

Schools have also been closed here until the fall. Our state opened up 77 of the 99 counties, but most of the Restaurants in the town we live in has chose to stay closed to dine in customers at this time , most of them are doing curb side carry out though and a few are also doing delivery.

My grandson has had trouble all through grade school. He was put in a special class because he's got attention and behavior issues. He's 12. He was far behind the other kids. But we have good news: Since he's been at home, he can take lessons in the order he pleases, take a break if he wants to, and sleep later in the morning; and his mom is thrilled that he's now thriving in his studies and she expects him to catch up to where he should be. This is such a relief to all of us in the family.

May 4 here in Missouri, the governor said. He also said localities can trump that decision. We live in St. Louis County. The St. Louis County Executive is also a medical doctor (not practicing while he holds that post), and he and the mayor of St. Louis City are cooperating in setting an opening date. They are waiting to see what transpires. As a medical professional, the County Executive is reluctant to open up too soon. We are following their guidance.

DEEBEE you can count yard work for our walking challenge if you want to. You can post 1 mile for every 15 minutes of exercise other than walking , running or jogging. It is up to you but just wanted to let you know that is an option I put on them as I know sometimes we can not get out and actually take that walk each day.

My husband started week 5 of working at home. I am still thankful at least the place he works at is still working.

I haven't been walking, but I'm getting some exercise in. If it's a nice day, I'm working in the yard. If it's not a nice day, I'm cleaning up and organizing the basement. Both these jobs can go on indefinitely.

I hope all you Sparkers are doing fine. These are strange times.

Happy Easter or Happy Passover to all of you who celebrate these holidays. Happy Springtime to those of you who do not! My tulips are up, and someday, hopefully sooner than later, we will be up and out, actually having face-to-face social gatherings again. Til then, take this virus seriously. Please!

We had a dog for many years. She was 16 years old when we had to put her to sleep, Then when we got the cats we adopted 2 sisters and Josh (my son) and his wife adopted their brother from the shelter. Josh and Heidis cats name is Snickers and we had M and M and Skittes. M and M had to be put to sleep many years ago. These pets really have a way of becoming a part of our families!

I also hope everyone is staying safe!

My Grandson Drew would have been 6 years old today. He passed away on January 19th 2017 from stage 4 cancer after almost a year of treatment. Each year since he has been gone Molly has blown out a candle on a cupcake for him.

This year she also wrote a note for him, I am not sure if you will be able to see it or not but she wrote "I Love you if you can see me or not. I love you if I can see you or not"

He also loved John Deere things so Heidi and Molly did this craft project for him

This is a very honest and informative interview on YouTube with the leading expert in S.Korea about Covid-19. The more we know about this virus and what we can do to protect ourselves and our loved ones, the better for all of us. Stay well and safe everyone!

Brad had to take our cat to the vet today. When he got there he had to call them, then one of them came out to the car to get her. Once the vet examined her they called and talked to him on the phone, then brought her back out to the car. We will get the results from her blood work tomorrow then we will have to make a decision on what to do next. We would hate to have to say good bye to her but we also just can not afford to put hundreds of dollars in to something. My daughter just spent about $3000 on her cat a few months ago and he only lived about 3 more months. I hope everyone is staying home that can and staying safe!

I've seen three fairly long videos on Covid, and I'll get to your link tomorrow. Each one that I saw gave good advice. They were not all exactly the same but those variations helped me to understand the problem a little better.

Staying home is so far a pleasure! Today we drove to the storage locker. We want to empty it, so today we hauled a bunch of stuff out and tomorrow we'll go back and do the same, and that should do it! We'll save about $100/month. Why have we been paying to save old stuff that we no longer need for so long? Because of the lack of time to clean it out.

I baked a loaf of bread. I used a recipe in the Food Section of the paper for One-Hour Bread, and it did take about that long. I started it at 2:30, it was done by 4, we were eating it at 5:30. It was pretty good. 12 slices at 142 calories/slice.

I have lines crossed through every walk event through April 30 on our website. We found out tonight that the Canadians cancelled their convention in Yellow Knife. We were really looking forward to going up there. What's good is that I'm getting some paper work done around here that I should have had done long before now, but we get too busy. I'm feeling a bit relaxed now that things are slowing down.

Coronavirus has arrived in St. Louis. A 20-yo flew to Chicago from northern Italy Wednesday, feeling fine. She took an Amtrak train, Chicago to St. Louis, still feeling fine. Thursday morning she awoke with a headache and a sore throat. The doctor didn't think it was anything. Friday morning she awoke with a headache, a very sore throat, chest pain and trouble breathing. She was tested positive for COVID-19. Her family was told to stay home. Instead, her father took her younger sister to a father-daughter dance at the Ritz-Carlton, but before then they went to a pre-dance party. So, now people are furious with this man. He hired a lawyer to say it was all the CDC's fault for not telling him (we know that's a lie). School is closed where the little sister goes, the school attended by the kids at the party will not allow them to go to school, the Ritz-Carlton has to isolate and sanitize the ballroom, Amtrak pulled the train for complete cleaning and sanitizing. We have a few other people infected around town.

I'm lucky that we don't have the virus here in Montana yet. But my husband is going all survival mode. Our freezer is pack. I can't put anything else in it. Got to s of hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, toilet paper, paper towels, masks, any thing I can think of.

Today was a good day. Been up since 4:30. Still have energy. Dropped my kids off at school. My baby and I went to the gym and I worked out,l. Cane home and cleaned up. Then early head start came over.

Afterwards had lunch, went for a walk, then baked alot of stuff.

Now relaxing for a while. Then gonna get my kids to do there homework done.

LITTLEBABIES18, Your dinner sounds delish. I haven't made chicken thighs for a long time, but I think I will soon.

DH and I are on one of our walking vacations, specifically on a bus trip with 48 other people who love to walk. We are in San Antonio now, as part of an international walking group, the IML, or International Marching League, mostly out of Europe. Representatives from 26 countries came to San Antonio for this very special weekend, where these walking enthusiasts walked 42K (a marathon) or 21K (a half-marathon like DH and I did), or a 10K, or a 5K...walks for all levels. It's been great. Lots of exercise, but, boy oh boy, I have to watch the calories! We're off to Austin tomorrow.

Today was a good day. I went to church. Ran late but made it. Then went to Walmart and did some shopping for the week. Came home and cleaned my house and did some laundry.

Kids watched a movie will they ate some lunch. Baby was sleeping. Got done cleaning by the time my husband got home.

Then I cooked dinner. Had chicken thighs marinated in tomato basil, half if a sweet potato and green beans.

We've had some pretty cold weather...so cold that I couldn't open the garage door from my car. I think it's more likely a battery problem but my husband thinks it's due to cold weather. But we're not even in the teens, so it's not that cold. Anyhow...went to a couple stores, did household chores, worked on a club newsletter, then went to a meeting. Not many steps today.

Today wa a busy day. Ugh. I am so tired. I have been able to relax until now. Had to take my son to a dentist appointment, went to my old church thinking there's mommies and littles but found d out it quite running. Then came home and cleaned and did some laundry.

Baked some cookies, and applesauce bread. Got my kids off the bus and took my son to his therapy. Went to Walmart to get something for dinner. Ate my dinner and helped my oldest and my son with there Valentine's day cards and bake them cupcakes for there class party. Still got an another batch in the oven.

Now here relaxing a little tell they are done.

DEB2448: I use my phone for my security. Keep all events, appointments, and other things in my phone. Since I am so busy with appointments all week I can never remember any of them. I also have all my diet apps, email, games, banking account, WIC, and other stuff on my phone l. Pretty much it's my life

Today, besides checking Facebook, my emails, updating our walking club website, and making phone calls (all using my phone, DEB!), I did the laundry because it was Monday. It was a good day to stay indoors because of the cold rain. I will make up the steps later this month, I hope!

DEB, I think you'll like your phone. I use it for so many things besides making phone calls and texting. You can email from it, too, get the weather report, read books, play solitaire, take pictures and edit them and then share them, strengthen friendships, buy stuff on line, make appointments, track steps, look up information, set your alarm, translate foreign words, do Spark!, read product codes, call Uber, use an amazing dictionary,...lots more!

Good evening ladies

Had kinda busy day. Took my oldest daughter to therapy. Went for a 20 minute walk while she was in her secession. Came home and straightened my livingroom up. The my 2 girls and I did a workout video for 10 minutes.

Then did the dishes ate lunch. Tried to take a nap but couldn't. Then my husband took our son and oldest to Walmart so he can get an ingredient for dinner tonight and dinner for tomorrow.

Finished a show and cuddled with my 2 year old. Then got up a cooked dinner. Then watched a movie from Korea. I was a good funny movie

We got new cell phones today , unlike most of the world today, I only use my phone for calling people and a text message once in awhile, well we got a call from verizon that they would no longer have service for our old "dumb phones" at the end of February, so we got new smart phones It took over 3 hours at Verizon today just to get the stuff done. They had ordered them a week ago and we were just suppose to have to go pick them up. Everyone tells me I will like it once I get used to it but right now I would like to throw it in the garbage can!

We're fine and dandy. Just a suggestion for stomach distress...a fellow at our podiatrist's office told us what a miracle for him kombucha was. It makes his stomach feel so much better. He drinks 8 oz a day over ice because it's fizzy and ice makes it less so. It's 35 calories for 8 oz. It's fermented tea. I've been having a glass every night. Peach-pineapple is good, also passion fruit-tangerine. I haven't tried any others yet. They're in every grocery store. He gave us a sample of his drink and I did like it.

Just cleaning out the basement area again. DH said I could throw out all his cassette tapes because nobody listens to those any more and besides the tapes are probably brittle, they are that old! So that took up some time today. He had a few hundred of them. I tossed some 15-20 yo tour books, no longer useful. We google maps and listen to Siri's directions. I also did laundry.

good afternoon ladies

I had a busy morning. Kinda overbook myself today. I had to take my oldest daughter to her OTtherpy but it was only for 30 minutes instead of 1 hour cause my baby girl had to go see the ENT about her tonsiles. So I did her therpy then ran her to school then ran back close to here therapy for the ENT appoinmen. All that in bad road conditions. Almost got into two accedents. Good thing i have my snow tires on and not my regular ones. I would hit a couple of cars or would be hit by one.

This afternoon my son has his Speech Therpy at 3:15. Ugh all these appoinments for my kids. Need to clone myself so I can have one of me do my kids appoinments and one for mine so i can relax.

Gonna try and do some streaching today before i get my kids. Not really in the mood to do some workouts. Kinda tired today. So streaching will be good anyways. Probally do yoga.

I did my cleaning alrady and my baby is takeing her nap. So now i have some free time

I had an acupuncture treatment today and then mailed the Valentine box of candy to our daughter and grandsons who live in Albuquerque. (We live in St. Louis.) I got home in time to notice how slick our driveway was getting to be, so I salted it before the onslaught of ice and snow and sleet or whatever struck. We borrowed "Rent" from the library and watched that this afternoon. Fish for dinner.

Today I went to my bible study. Good lecture talked about our suffering and when Jesus comes it will all go away. Then in my group was a good discussion to as well. A lady in my group was talking about labor pains and how Jesus will come like a women in labor. But I had to be a smarty pants and said I never had the labor pains all my kids were born c-section.

Then came home and straightened up my house, did a load if laundry. Then did some stuff on sparks I can't do on my phone on our man computer. Did some of my bible study for next week.

40 minutes before I got my 2 older kids off the bus I did 20 minutes of walking away the lbs. Got my 2 year old and left to get them.

Then went to my oldest daughter to therapy. Then came home and are dinner. Now I am sparking before homework and bedtime

DEEEBEE: I need to do that. I just have them stuffed in tubs with no labels. Suprising I know what is what.

I tackled our Christmas storage shelf, repacking those items that got thrown together in a rush so that we'll be able to locate them in December. I thought I'd have a lot of stuff to give to Goodwill, but I only found a few items. It's a good feeling to have the boxes neatly labelled and ready for the season.

I have really enjoyed this warm weather. DH and I got some long walks in. We're finishing up 5K and 10K routes in Marthasville, Missouri, a small but really lovely town close to the Missouri River, a little west of St. Louis. We joining with several other walking clubs in an effort to eventually walk all 114 counties of Missouri.

Feeling really good today. I did 20 minute workout on my fir board and 12 minute workout apps on my phone and 14 minutes of stretching.

Stated home cause my 5 year old son has a fever. So couldn't go anywhere. I also was able to take a nap. Also do a little bible study.

LITTLEBABIES18 , I am glad you are feeling better. Prayers for you.

Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs! I had no preference on which team won but since I am from Iowa, it was nice to see the team pretty close to us win.

Feeling alot better. Took my last antibiotics tonight. Gonna take probiotic for the next week so I won't get another infection.

Today I scrubbed down my kitchen, cleaned my car and laundry. They needed it so bad from my neglect from my infection.

Now watching the superbowl

I'm proud to say that on the last day of 2019, I kept my calorie count under 1500. However, at the stroke of midnight, I drank 1/2 C of egg nog, but I will count those calories tomorrow!
