I have cooked for so long so I don't need to follow a recipe unless I need a refresher course!

If I've made something so many times, I don't follow a recipe, but I like to try new things, like miso soup last week. (I'm glad I did. DH loved it, too.) So I will follow a recipe, but maybe change off some ingredients. I made miso soup exactly like the recipe because that food is foreign to us.

When cooking, do you follow a recipe or do you experiment?
