Our Farmer's Market is behind for the year as well. I am just glad it is open and I can have fun trying new things. They were selling beautiful collard greens to use and wraps. They are yummy.

With a sunny week, they are promising some green beans. All this gloomy weather has slowed us down.

Strawberry count up to 10 pints (...I think that should acutally be 11?) and two quarts. Still no picking, due to Cold of Doom.

And garlic scapes are in, woot! Time to freeze some pesto!

It was my coop order not the farmer's market, but I got the loveliest carrots-all different colors, from almost white to deep purple! Tasty too!

I'm so impatient for the farmer's markets to open up! Not for at least another month, though. :(

Same here our Markets are closed until spring. I really love kale, though for winter soups. I am using the peaches I froze from last summer for pies.

Our farmer's market has been closed for months. How lucky you are to have one that is open year round! I am still getting pastured meat every month from a local farmer, but I don't go to a farmer's market for that. I just order it from him directly and I pick it up from him a few blocks from my house.

Our farmers markets are closed until spring here in Cincinnati, so I've been having to rely on the grocery store and the foods I froze and preserved from the summer. But I have to agree: winter squashes are the best!

Would love to hear what peoples' favorites are across the country.
