LHKBUSY--I do my daily routine and just add the bootcamp at the end. I figure it can't hurt to add 10 more minutes to my routine. Even on my 'off' days which is today I will do the bootcamp. Your parfait sounds super yummy. I think I am going to go make me some Special K waffles with sugar free syrup--one of my fave breakfasts!! :)

I went to the gym last night and did 30 minutes of cardio and a lot of leg weights...it was my first day back to my routine after being pretty sedentary for quite a few weeks...My legs feel like they may fall off and I am at work until 5 tonight. haha Oh well, actually this feeling makes me feel pretty dang good. I miss being at the gym, can not wait to get back to losing weight and actually sticking to it. :)
Good Luck to you all....have fun with this bootcamp!!

WOW! I did the workout....yay me!! I couldn't do the higher intensity so I did the modified....BUT I DID IT and that's what counts!!! I won't beat myself up anymore if I can't do the higher intensity to begin with. As long as I'm moving I will work my way up in intensity, right?

GOOD JOB!!!

LHKBUSY I think they set up the workouts as a guideline but as long as you are working out it will count. By the end of the month you need to have 500 fitness minutes regardless of what you did to earn the prizes so I think your good! Im in Maine so it is till snowing here, we have over a foot of snow now its been snowing for 2 days !!

Good morning, everyone! This morning I braved the snow storm we're having in the northeast and went to the gym for a kickboxing class...does that take the place of the bootcamp workout, or do I do that too? I'm new to Spark People, so I need some guidance.

After my workout, I came home and made a yogurt parfait with lo-cal yogurt, granola and sliced strawberries :) Yum, Yum!

Finished Day 1 video although I had to lower the intensity a bit. Off to clean up the kitchen and then get some more walking in.

Good Morning All! I hope you're having a Splendid Sunday so far! This was my day off work so I slept in and thus have not done the video yet but I will get it done soon. :) I hope you all are having a great day so far! Keep up the great work all!

JUNEGLO - It depends on the video. For this first one, go to your my fitness page, click on add cardio, and then search for jump (or something else in the title of the video) and it should come up. Then you simply click on it and put in how many minutes you did it (normally we all just put 10 minutes) and then add. I hope that helped.

Wow I never knew I could get that much of a burn in 10 minutes. Yikes!

This is a lot of fun Im looking forward to seeing everyones progress.

And I would just like to thank everyone for posting in here instead of posting a new topic because those emails are getting ridiculous. I get an email every time someone posts and most of the time it is people introducing themselves when there is already a forum for that LOL

Just finished my Day 1 workout w/ coach Nichole. Very fun! Will head out later for a bike ride when it warms up a bit. Love the fresh air. For added enjoyment, I have raw vegan meals planned for today! Pomegranate, apple and greens smoothie for breakfast, Kelp Noodles with Creamy Mushroom Sauce for lunch and a huge tossed salad for supper! Yumm-o! This bootcamp is just fun and inspiring! Go get it!

Met my original goal! Now onto the homestretch!

I'm excited to start tomorrow. I know it will be a fun month ahead. YAY!!! Today I did a five mile nature trail so I could jumpstart my progress. I have a goal to remove 10% of my body weight in the first 6 months of the year. That's 19.5 lbs, however I will set five pound mini goals.

Lets make this happen,

Tamm

Good Saturday, everyone! I am so excited about getting started with the Bootcamp tomorrow! I've been exercising and watching my food intake, though not as much as I will starting tomorrow. I've done great in that I haven't gained any weight over the holidays, and have continued to be active! I'm ready for the holidays to be over, and get back into a routine, so that I can have a great 2010! Monday will be my one year anniversary with Spark People, and although I haven't lost all the weight I would have wanted by the end of my first year, I've lost and kept weight off, have gotten more active this year, have found creative ways to BE active and have incorporated healthy eating habits into my life! That is the kind of lifestyle I think SP encourages, not a life of pain, punishment and deprivation!

Let's have a great Bootcamp, All! Good luck and let's DO IT! emoticon

I have sort of jumped into this get healthy plan with both feet. I have done a cardio video with friends the last 3 days plus a hike along our riding trails. I was so stiff last night but I got out there this morning and did Leslie Sansone's walk/kickboxing video this morning. I loved it, can't follow the moves so well sometimes but laughter is good for the body too.

Ready to get this bootcamp started, going to get up early to do the video before I head to the barn for feeding and another workout. Should be fun, I am so proud of myself for doing this. I haven't stuck with any sort of exercise program, horses are my exercise. But this will make me a better rider.

I am 48 yrs, 5' 6" and 180 pounds. I will be participating in my 3rd BLC beginning soon and I thought this would be a nice compliment to that. The only thing I can see that I don't think I'll like is this team is so big, it will be tough to make individual connections with others. That's what I love about BLC. Am I wrong? Is there somewthign I'm missing here that offers that?

Question? To have your fitness count for the prizes will the mileage tracker also be OK? I know it says to use add cardio but I use the mileage tracker to track my miles walked/run. Will it pick up that fitness as well?

I am excited for tomorrows workout....Though I chose sundays as my day off---I will still do these videos, it can't hurt me any.
Today I started with drinking 1 gallon of water a day, I am going to flush my system this weekend and do my starting measurments on Monday.
I also started journal entrys for myself under the planner here on SP...I am going to try to do a journal entry everyday so in 6 months when I am married and down to my goal weight I can reflect back to see just where I started and to keep myself from getting back to where I am now. :)
Good Luck to everyone on your journey to a happier, healthier you!!

Well I am going to start doing journal entries and I have set up some goals to accomplish this year.

Under the Program Setup my Fitness is to Create a Safe Environment, Fire is to Stop Procrastinating and Focus is to Have a Positive Influence on Others.

Well, I typically do not workout on Sundays, so I did a little extra today. I need to take my measurements and maybe post a pic or two. I turn 30 in October and would love to lose 45 pounds by then. With the holidays, i gained 3-5 pounds, but I am ready to make my goal weight. Exercise is no problem for me, but eating is a big part. I have 3 boys, so lots of waste, but I will give those to the dog! Good luck everyone! emoticon

I'm really excited about starting tomorrow. I've been doing 30 -45 mins. of cardio every day for the past week. I WATCHED the first video and was out of breath and sweating just watching! emoticon Looks like a great challenge for me.

Wow, I am so glad this is finally starting tomorrow. I just weighed and measured myself...and it is NOT pretty!! Thank goodness I am in this and THE Biggest Loser Season 9 Challenge...at the same time!! I am going to need both of these challengest o help me get this weight off!! I knew I had gained some weight over the past 2 weeks but I did not realize it was this much. Looking forward to the workouts here and to doing all my Biggest Loser DVDs for my cardio.

I am excited about getting back in shape, i keep going around this vicious circle. I haven't worked out in about 3 months due to my schedule and being a single parent. because of being overweight, I have issues with my legs and feet. I walk everyday. What would you recommend...

I just updated my measurements and added some goals to my sparkpage for the optional challenge. I have been on Sparkpeople for 2 and a half years, but have never done any measurements but weight. I am excited to see the other measurements change during this month.
