Day 2 is done! 30 min cardio and then the video. I'm new with the stability ball so picking a focus point to look at to help maintain balance was a good tip...wish it would have come at the beginning of the video, but I got it!

Feeling good! Keep up the great work team!

Oooh I just remembered, I'm going to visit my family in a little bit.... I'll eat fruit at their house! They always have fruit! So I will be able to get my 3 servings! YEAH!

Day 2:

15 minutes on elliptical - done
Strength training exercises - done
Day 2 video - done

Ok, did not like today's video. 1, I thought my knees were going to pop out. 2, I kept rolling off my ball on the wall. 3, I worked all the same muscles just before it on other strength exercises. I think I'll be passing on this video for a little bit until I get my knees in better shape.

Later today... another 15 minutes on elliptical. I don't think I'll get 3 servings of fruit in though. I have 2 bags of frozen fruit and that has to last me 10 days until I get some $$.

I did step on the scale this morning since I last weighed myself on Saturday. :) I likey!

All in all, I'm very proud of myself for trying to keep up!!!!

Just checking in - I completed day 2. I really enjoyed the ball workout. I would never have thought to use it against the wall. I also did 30 minutes on my Wii fit and 30 minutes on the bike. So far so good.

Wow! Day 2 video exercises were awesome. That was my first time I used my exercise ball up on the wall instead of on the floor. I do lunges and squats all the time, but do did I feel the burn today!

I didn't get an email for either day, now that I think about it.

But, holy crap, I did it. That cardio workout -killed- me, it was so hard. After warming up on the treadmill for 15 minutes, I did 30 on the bike.

I wanted to quit, very realistically, 3 times during those 30 minutes; I get out of practice SO easily and I hadn't done cardio in over a week.

I came home and did the video when I was finished. I had to stop a few of them and make some of them easier --

Question:::

Is anyone else's calves absolutely screaming after yesterday's jumping video? I was actually limping on my way home from the gym just now, my calves are so, so sore. Hence the shoddy performance on today's video!

BUT! I made it through, day 2 is done, and I'm very proud and satisfied.

Day 2! I don’t have a stability ball, but I tried the exercises by using the wall to keep my spine straight and supported. The squats and lunges were great and I could really feel the workout of the thigh area! Now I can see why they said to use a ball-that wall gets rather hard! But, I did it! And, I always love the stretches afterwards!

I've just finished the video for the day. I think I'll do it again for another set. I will get on the treadmill for my cardio while my daughter takes her nap today.

I didn't get an email with todays video, as I did with day 1. Anyone else not get an email? I guess it's not a big deal because I was able to find the video under the workout section but I'm just curious.

Done! Really enjoyed this one. I feel like my legs are very strong already and I felt my muscles working.

My cardio for today is my regular Monday vinyasa yoga class - 75 min. It's my most challenging practice of the week.

And three servings of fruit sounds A-OK with me! I usually have berries and mango for breakfast and a clementine as a snack, so it should be no problem today.

I did the video after running my 3 miles outside. I didn't find this video as challenging as I did yesterday's video. I don't like jumping around though because it causes problems with my calfs. Going to do some ab work now and the 6 min butt-blasting video and then off to the shower and work!

I liked this video. There is one part though where you put your one leg back and have your foot against the wall. My legs aren't long enough to do that with the ball in the way so I improvised and did some squats for that part. I definitely enjoyed the stretching portion and could feel it's effects afterwards.

I'll have to do the cardio tonight as time prevails.

Really enjoying the bootcamp experience!

I have found that if I don't get it done in the morning I don't get it done, and I am NOT a morning person. But, I got up at 5 am to do my 30 min Cardio (Leslie Sansone 2 miles) then I was lucky enough that my day 2 video was done streaming and I had enough time to do it and it worked correctly today. Boy are my legs tingling. I'm going to have to rub the linament on before going to work to get thru the day. But I did it!

Now for the fruit. Does peach yogurt count? lol.

Great! I got Day 2 done!! Yay me! Although first time using a stability ball....well let's just say I wasn't very stable....LOL. But I got it done!

Now off for a shower and then back to work after being off since Dec. 24th. This will be a long day.

Good luck everyone.........and keep up the good work!

I don't want to get to a particular "size", I want to get to a healthy weight for me.

I had to substitute today, after taking advice, as my exercise ball hasn't arrived yet. So I did the "SparkPeople Swimsuit Bootcamp - Day 5 Workout" video, targeting the same muscle groups: abs, hips, inner and outer thighs. Thought it would be impossible, but was surprised that I managed to do it with no particular trouble - it didn't get to my bad back at all. Great!

Now to eat those three portions of fruit - I started the day with a glass of fresh orange juice, shall have an apple as a snack, then maybe some blueberries as lunchtime pud.

I haven't done today's yet, but I'll post when I do. I'm planning to do it when my husband goes to work, which will be in about 3 hours.

I'm needing a little bit of motivation. I can't stand cardio, I never know if I'm doing it right (am I working hard enough? Am I working TOO hard?), and until I decided to join this 30-day challenge, I only did cardio 3 times per week rather than 5. Right now, on the first day of a 5-day cardio block, it's looking a little bit daunting!

Bluuugh.

Did 30 minutes this morning - running and walking on the tread mill. Still tracking my food and water. Just waiting for my brand new fitness ball to be blown up, then I'll get on and do today's video workout...
Might even catch a couple of sets of tennis later on.

Extra challenge was to eat three pieces of fruit.
Done.
Apple.
Banana.
Nectarine.
Cheers!!! emoticon

Day Two done. Nice workout but sometimes I felt unsteady on the ball... don't normally use it though.... maybe I just have to get used to it. Naturally I don't have good balance

Okay - another video done successfully with improvising as needed. I don't yet have a stability ball. I do have weights but somehow the wall thing and holding weights too seemed too complex - that's like 202 or something and I'm at 101. I simply used the wall and then I used a chair for some of the others. I am extremely proud of my 8 minute accomplishment and I'll catch the other challenges later.

Day two sorted! I really liked ball lunges. For my cardio went for a bike ride as it was a lovely cool morning. Also met the SP boot camp challenge - had a mango and strawberry smoothie, cherries and a fresh peach from the back yard.
