Well it's been a long full day. up since five as per the usual. House is cleaned, animals looked after five hours at the paper lifting sorting inserting flyers and strapping them loading them back onto the trucks for delivery. I've had my stir fry for dinner. Just finishing up an old Bill Cosby movie and then I am seriously contemplating hitting the horizontal. Have another full day tomorrow starting with doctor's appointments one for me and one for Gen She needs the last of her shots.

Morning, cold but going to 44 and tomorrow could hit 60, the 40 Thurs and back to 30 for weekend.

Went to Radialogist oncologist yesterday to get checked by her and Wed the medical one.
They make decision if I get radiation and pills, after surgury. The pathologist has to examine the lump and then give them the information. I will be glad when it is all over.

ElfMage7 – I forgot about that with “Friends” until you mentioned it. lol

Getting a job after getting an apartment may be better though. You won’t have to try to move and work at a new job at the same time.

Camey13 – I don’t know if she was on hormones or not. I know she took some prescribed medications and some from her herbalist. Her doctor, oncologist, and Chinese herbalist worked together to make sure nothing would interfere with each other.

So, our middle son turned 14 on Saturday. We bought him a TracFone and a 60 minute card. This phone doubles time bought for life and with it being a new account his 60 minute card turned into 140 minutes. It also came with coupons to add extra minutes if certain sized cards are purchased. Anyway… he comes home from school and tells me he can’t use his phone. He had locked it but then he also locked the SIM card without knowing how. I had to wait for over 15 minutes with customer support to get it unlocked and turn the locking features off. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law bought him a Kindle. So now we have to get it set up too. I wonder how long before he locks it. lol

Well, I hope these pills I have to take for 5 years will do the trick. Was your mom on hormones? I eat a lot of the food on the list. I love mellon. Surgeon told me to eat veggies and foods with Vit C in them, and those on the list have vit C.

That is a little funny. Kind of like on Friends when Phoebe is pregnant. She is a vegetarian throughout the show but during her pregnancy she discovers her cravings are all for meat. Joey offers not to eat meat so she won't feel guilty while eating it during the pregnancy.

Things have been stressful still. Looked through apartments online again today. Think my goal is going to have to be move March 1st. I've got a bunch of jobs to apply for but chances are I won't get one till after I move because it's hard to do when living in a different state. I have money set aside, which will help. I hope.

My mom's cancer was estrogen fed so she tried to eat food that was as low in estrogen as possible. When that wasn't helping they finally went in an removed both of her ovaries.

One of the funniest chemo stories I remember hearing is when my step-dad called to see what she wanted him to pickup for supper. Mom said a nice, big, juicy, medium rare stake sounded good. The whole time they were together she was a vegetarian and my step-dad wasn't prepared for her to want a stake. lol She told me he was quiet for a minute and then asked "You want a what??" He thought his hearing aide battery was going bad.

Thanks...The doc told me I didn't have to watch any particular food, just eat plenty of Vit C veggies. Problem with oranges is they give me heartburn from the acid. Tomatoes too and peppers do not agree with me anymore. I will go in the net and find the Vit C foods and see what I can get. On that list, there are foods I eat and love. What a pain. I still have estrogen because I have the right ovary still.

Camey – That’s good that they found it so early and it’s so small.

My mom’s was estrogen fed too. She started watching what she ate since some foods have estrogen and others inhibit estrogen. This site has a list of both foods if you’re interested.

Dot thanks....It is stage l and 5.6cmm and will have it done in two weeks. They are only going to take lump out and check under arm area and every 6 months go for mammogram, which I am going to hate, as you know they squash the hell out of you. I will have to take a pill for 5 years because I still have an ovary and it is producing estrogen. I may or may not have radiation, but no chemo at my age. There is some cloud area on left, but nothing there now, but she will keep a watch over it. Mon have to go to radiation oncologist.

Hello All,

Camey, I hope that they have caught it in time so it is good that it is small. I never thought in a million years that you would have Cancer. I still can't really believe it now too. I know that you are in shock as well. I hope that the doctor has some good news as to what type of treatment you will need. What kind of operation will they do and anything else that needs to be done to make sure that this goes into remission or gone all together. I know we have already talked, but I am still saying prayers for you. I am here for you if you need anything at all.

I hope like you do, that once all these operations that you need to have done are done that you won't need any more for the rest of your life. You have been through so much in a short period of time that it isn't fair at all. I really hope that you will be able to have a operation free life and have good health at last.

Just remember I am here for you no matter what.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Best wishes to all!

I will keep you all in my Thoughts and Prayers

Thanks Elf and Tika.I have so much support from my friends on the 70 group and my own group here and continous phone calls from friends and emails constantly. You never realize how many friends you have till you need them.

I have been doing ok so far, think it has not registered, but today I see the oncologist and it will probably register then when she gives me the details of it.

My dil had it and had a small nodule and ended up having both breasts out so my son wants to see the doc with us and ask a ton of questions, which is making me a bit nervous and dh too. I want to be in control, and I know he is worried. There is no stopping him, he already informed me he took the day off to come and is going to work at home.

I will know more info once I see her. The breast from biophy still hurts now and then and they will be going into the same spot again, which is going to hurt. The herina incision is healing and it will be 8 weeks Monday and I see the doc on Feb. 8 for that. Once he gives me the ok to go back on the bike, I will, but only to be stopped again from the cancer operation. Just can'twin, and after that the membrane operation on eye. Might as get them all over with and then maybeI will be able to have some happiness of not going under the knife for the rest of my life. Seems from 40 had 3 and then the catracts, herina and now cancer and then eye.
Enough is enough I would think.

The news isn't easy to take, for anyone. I haven't had the experience personally, but some of my relatives have.

On my dad's side, my uncle's first wife had breast cancer when they were married. It wasn't easy but she made it through chemo, losing her hair and everything. It grew back and she is doing fine now even though they are no longer married. My great-uncle has cancer (I don't remember the type) and has been fighting it for about 10 years now. Doctors thought he was going to barely make it a couple of years, so the fact that he made it this far has been great. I remember over a year ago I went to visit him one day right after he'd gone through chemo and he was in back working on a broken machine (they own a bowling alley). It's amazing what some can do even when given such challenges.

On my mom's side, my aunt's stepson was diagnosed with bone cancer about a year ago and he got sick pretty fast. He went through a lot and even though he was only 16, he made the decision to have his leg amputated because the cancer in his leg bone was bad. Haven't heard any news about him lately, which is good cause that means he's surviving.

So, if you need to talk or anything, I'm here.

I don't think it has sunk in yet I have breast cancer because I can't believe it. It has left my mind completely, but tomorrow when I see the cancer doctor, I know it will hit me hard then.
Where it is small doc says out patient in hospital, and small incision. But they have to make sure they take it all out, so I guess they will do biophy on the lump. The treatment is what is bothering me, where I am allergic to a lot of meds and maybe losing my hair, or side effects, otherwise, so far I am taking it well, but family isn't. I guess God is helping me stay positive.

Camey, my heart just sank when I read your words. I am glad they caught it early. Keep us posted on what they plan to do. You will be in our prayers.

TIKATAKAWITHA: I agree with you ...this should only be done under a doctors supervision. I hear a lot of that stuff sold on the internet is not the real thing. There are teams on here you advocate 500 calories every other day called friends of Dr. Johnson. I guess sparks don't see it as dangerous since it is every other day(?) I tried it for a short while and did lose some weight , but found it hard to stick to because my down day (500) calories seem to always fall on a day I had socials going on . LOL It took planning to limit one self to just 500 calories. I checked back on the team and some of the ladies are sticking with it for a long time. I guess it just wasn't for me.

Tika, when you are hungry you get a salad, jello, fruit. I have skinny cow, which is low fat and l00 calories, which I have for a snack. They also sell the l00 snacks in cookies, that come in individual packages and I even have a small package of chips, original baked, which doesn't have much. Yes, I know there are times, when I get stressed and I might go off, but generally, if all goes well, I keep busy and nothing goes in my mouth.

Today, is the day I hear on the biophy and I haven't had breakfast yet, so going to do that now before the phone rings. I am hoping for good news but trying to be prepared for bad, by keeping positive.

NoMoreStalling – Here’s the link and the reply I received... “Here's a dailySpark blog post that sums up our thoughts about the HCG protocol- whether it's doctor prescribed or not:

it_really_the_truth_about_hcg_injectR>ions_for_weight_loss

I have heard about different Eat to Live programs, but I don’t think I could stick to one very well. If it works for you, I think it is great and you won’t hear me badmouth it. I hope it keeps helping your eyes for the astigmatism and for the cataracts. The same is true with whatever diet or healthy lifestyle changes people want to make, if they are healthy and it is helping a person I won’t badmouth it. Now a 500 calorie diet I can agree is too much… or little. My mom became a vegetarian and went to a Chinese herbalist. I know a woman who swore by colloidal silver.

I had to rewash three loads of clean clothes.

ElfMage7 – How is the job hunt and house hunt going? I hope you find something soon for both.

Camey13 – I have tried eating less and exercising more, but never lost very much. Usually I only lost around 5 pounds. I was also always hungry. With what I’m doing now I’m not going to bed hungry and don’t feel like I’m starving when I wake up.

Eating less and doing exercise will make you lose. When I had the colonosophy and had to watch what I ate, I lot 5 lbs. in a week. Not sure of the spelling.

Man oh man to have to rewash clean clothes! I hope it wasn't much.
The kids doing dishes by hand for awhile is a good thing. it will help them realize just hos good they have it with the convenience LOL
I've been losing anywhere from 3-6 pounds a week with Dr Fuhrman's Nutritarian lifestyle and it's not even a weight loss program. It's just Eat To Live.

You know Saturday I went in and had my eyes tested I've always had astigmatism in both eyes. It has been reduced in both eyes. I do have the beginnings of a cataract on the one eye but I'm going to keep a close eye on it and continue eating the Nutritarian lifestyle and just see what kind of a difference it makes when i have them tested the next time!

He has so many success stories of diseases being reversed why not cataracts too?

TODAY Is MY tomorrow. It's up to ME to shape it, To TAKE CONTROL and seize EVERY opportunity. The POWER is in the choices I make EVERY day. I eat well, I live well I SHAPE ME!

Excuses-Be-Gone - I’ve mainly been watching what I eat and not eating as much. I have started exercising, thought I’m not doing as much as I should. If I were to exercise more, I would probably lose more each week. I know if it controversial, but I have been receiving HCG/B12 injections each week, from my doctor, since October. The shots are to help burn fat. I “stalled” and started taking phentermine daily to help curb my appetite. I’m on a 1200-1500 calorie diet. The diet plan from my doctor is 1200 calories, but I can go up to 1500.

I was told that “the HCG diet goes against many of SparkPeople's program recommendations” and that is why it can’t be discussed in the message boards or a team can be started for it. (I tried and it was deleted.) When I asked why, I was given a link to an article, but I saw several problems with it. 1st it was written in 2009, 2nd it was talking about a 500 calorie diet plan, and 3rd I think it was talking about the HCG diets available online or in stores… not with a doctor even though the author did mention injections from a doctor.

HCG isn’t for everyone and I understand that though some argue that since they took it and didn’t lose weight it doesn’t work. In my opinion it is like other medications… my grandma swears by Claritin D for her allergies, but they don’t do a thing for me so I take Singular. I also don’t think the HCG diets that limit calories to 500/day is healthy or being able to purchase it online and at stores. IMO it is better to go to a doctor that will do blood work and keep an eye on you.

I lost 3.2 pounds this week so I'm down to 229 pounds!

The parts for my washer are in. The repairman will be here tomorrow. Since he made a temporary fix I have been able to wash without problems. BUT since it is just a temporary fix we are going to still have him come since we don't know if the fix will last a week or a year. Better to get it done now than to have to pay $40 to $60 a week at the laundry mat.

Right now I'm washing the clean clothes I had hanging up in the laundry room. My husband decided to use the shop vac and empty out the vacuum bag to our house vacuum. We can't purchase bags for it except online. We'll his "good idea" backfired on him... quite literally. The dust blew out the back and into the laundry room all over our clean clothes.

Our dishwasher is messed up now. The hinges are sprung and the door won't shut all of the way. The appliance repair shop has a dishwasher for $130, but we're going to let the kids wash the dishes by hand for awhile. Since they kept dropping the door when opening it, that is what finally messed the hinges up.

Hello All,

I have to go for my Mammogram today at 10:15. I am kind of nervous because the last one I had done 2 years ago showed 4 lumps in my left breast. They only took a biopsy of one of them. It turned out to be negative. I was really happy. I don't know what happened to the other 3 though. I might ask them if I remember it. I am just hoping that they don't find any at all.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Best wishes to all!

There are probably a few kinds that do that. I don't know all of the readers available. I was looking at a Nook Color for myself. My sister has the non-color, original one. My mom has the nook tablet. They are the ones connected to Barnes and Noble. Kindle has a version out that probably does that too. Those types are kind of pricey though, for the color and games and such.

Thanks everyone!

ImagingPro - Thaks for the update on Camey. I hope your foot gets better soon.

Our middle son will be 14 on the 28th. We are thinking about an eBook reader, but don't know which one. We want one he can use to read books, play games on, maybe listen to music on, and connect to the internet (FaceBook & YouTube mainly). A color screen would be better too. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions?

emoticon Tika!

I had a full day yesterday with the road trip to Red Deer.
I was like a dog with a bone I was on a mission. to find an all natural pet food for both my cats and dogs and I hit the jackpot I came across a Global Pet Foods and came home with exactly what I was looking for and bought enough for a month.
I also came home my own DVD of virtual smash for Kinect so that when Joyce goes back to New Brunswick I have it. Now I kind of did it backwards LOL because now I have to go out and buy the Kinect LOL But hey for 19.99 I wasn't going home without it.
And we have a brand new computer system sitting hooked up in Walt's office. He got an IMAC and speaker system to go with it. we also took the three year guarantee which includes a technician that will come out all the way from Red Deer to Coronation if we need them too. BONUS!
We ate at the Red deer Buffet and filled up on steamed vegetables for lunch All you can eat for 9.95 and for dinner we hit subway and I had the roasted chicken loaded with vegetables and a smudge of Chipotle

We also hit the grocery stores and stalked up on fruits and vegetables for the week. So we're ready to go again.
Today I'm just taking the day as it comes doing my normal house cleaning laundry and watching an old movie The Net

Hello All,

Congratulations Tika. Keep up the good work. Before you know it you will be in a size 16. WHOO!

Camey asked me to come on and let you all know that she had the biopsy done. It took longer than she expected it too. Not actually the test itself, but the preparations that needed to be done in order to do it. The doctor told her that her lump was very small and that if it was Cancerous, they would be able to get it all because it is in the early stages. She would be ok. They did do a little incision to do the biopsy, but didn't require any stitches. She is keeping an ice pack on it for a couple of days. The doctor also told her no lifting or anything that would be strenuous, for a couple of days. She really appreciates all of the prayers that you all have be saying for her well being. She will be back on as soon as she is doing better. She wants me to thank you all for all of the support that she has received.

I am happy to report so far that my foot isn't bleeding as far as I know. It has a lot of padding on it though. I hope that it will just heal up good. I don't want any complications with that foot.

Thank you all for the prayers and support. I really do appreciate it a lot.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Best wishes to all!

So, last night I decided to wear my light tan jeans to church today. When I went to put them on I noticed they looked smaller than my others I’ve been wearing. I checked the label and they are a 20W… my others are a 22W. I tried to put them on and THEY FIT!! WooHoo!!

Just wanted to drop in right quick and share. emoticon

Hello All,

Camey, I really hope that all is well. I know you have been through a lot lately and you don't need anything else to be worrying about. I will be saying prays and keeping thoughts of you in my head and heart. I know that the process is slower than you would like, it is always that way. I am here for you and hope that the results on Wednesday are good. Best wishes to you.

I know I haven't been on for a couple of days, but I am doing ok. I will be doing a blog either today or tomorrow explaining everything that has been going on with me for this past few weeks. But to just let you all know in case you don't get to see the blog, that my leg and foot is doing much better. I have stopped taking the antibiotics as of yesterday. I am not sure if anything else will pop up in that leg and foot. My foot doctor said that he thinks that it had something to do with my Diabetes and retaining fluids. My foot and leg are still a little discolored and I am hoping that it will return to its normal color soon. My foot doctor gave me the ALL CLEAR so I will just have to wait and see what if anything will happen again.

Thank you all for all the care wishes and support that you have given me. I really do appreciate it a lot.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day

Best wishes to all!

Right. The cultural, artsy aspect is one that interests me for sure. And it has interesting big city aspects without being like LA or New York. There is public transportation, which I'm not used to, that includes trains. Should be an interesting place to live. Just need to find a job.

And I will have more time to search right now because at my current job I was temporarily laid off. Hopefully it won't be for too long but it doesn't help with the stress.

I get knocked off line a lot. It is good to know I am not alone in computer problems. I guess misery loves company. LOL

I will be happy for you when you get this Biopsy behind you. Once they find anything it is best to get to the bottom of it if possible. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

It is almost midnight here, I have grandchildren on the roads in this bad weather so I am hanging out here till I hear they made it to NC. They left Michigan about 3pm today.

I hear Portland is a cultural place to live. It sounds like a good choice to me. Do you know anyone there? You can not live your sisters life for her , you must follow your own heart /dreams. Keep us updated on your plans , sounds exciting.

Camey- I would say no that is not my problem but that's partly because I don't have Windows anything. My laptop is a Mac. It was more of an internet connection issue. Most of the time I'm the only one using the internet, since I work at different times than my parents I'm home when they aren't. My mom's Nook Tablet wasn't working well either when she was home. She tried listening to music and would only get random short moments of songs and nothing more. She thought it was the wind because it has been really bad lately. Like on my computer it would say the internet had all bars but pages wouldn't load on either Firefox or Safari. But it's working again, so I'm happy.

I have not been reading the posts lately but hope everyone is getting better.
My computer shuts down when I am at at the office and try to open Spark. At home, I do not have that problem.
Yesterday at 8AM it was -15* and today at 7:30 AM we have 0* so an improvement. Some snow today and Minnespolis/St. Paul has a ton of accidents so we will stay home. My husband goes to the shop (sheet metal) to do some drwaings for our son and some small jobs and I work on my computer which I can do at home.
I track my breakfast and lunch but fail on the dinner so I need to get my act together.
Have agood day.

I am having internet problems too. I get windows is working on correcting the internet and then it freezes for a few minutes and comes back on. I was writing a letter and lost it and had to rewrite it when it came back on. Is this the problem you are getting? It has happened more than once and wondering if it is window 7, or too many using the net?

Well, I am here at 7:45 because what to do my mail. Once I have the biophy done today, I may not feel like typing, or it will hurt, if I do. So may be off for a few days. Thanks for all well wishes. Not looking forward to it but today is the day and then wait for results and hope for the best.

Hope things work out for you Camey.

Finally I can post again. The last three days I've had internet struggles. For two days the internet was working but so very slow. I could only load one page at a time and usually it took a few tries in order to get the page to load. I focused last night on finding possible apartments and a little bit of job searching. It's hard to explain why but I'm thinking of moving to Portland Oregon. When I applied for colleges, I actually was accepted to a private school in Oregon but ended up not able to afford to go even with scholarships. I haven't been there, though I have been to Washington (don't remember the city) for debate. But what I've seen and heard on tv and online makes Portland feel like a good place for me to go. My sister will be disappointed but I need to find my own dreams and do what will help me. And it's more affordable there. I could get a two bedroom apartment for like 500+ less than what a one bedroom costs in LA. Just need to get a job.

I am discusted because they gave me a doc who is going to overlook it, but not do it. The radialogist is. I will be talking to the doc before it is done and then they will take pictures again, more radiaiton, and then do it. Then if they call with the word I don't want to hear then the doc will take over from there. So crazy. Now, DH is having stomach pains, probably a bug or something he ate and I don't need him sick with the stomach virus when I need him tomorrow. Just gets too much to handle at times.

Camey - Will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

So our oldest is looking at a '98 Dodge Ram 1500 4-wheel drive. It has 186,886 miles on it and needs an intake manifold gasket. He is in auto mechanics at Vo-Tech in the afternoons and his teacher said for students to work on their cars it is $5/day. So that isn't too bad.

The guy wants $1000 for the pick-up. He bought it in 2008 and it has been parked since then. To get the title, tag, and penalties it will cost $575.50. And last but not least his insurance will now be $662 for six months because of his wreck and ticket.

Camey: I hate the word Mammogram , or Biopsy.....I very much feel for you. Last one I had they scared me taking some many pictures then calling me back for more pictures . Next was the Biopsy ....I sure wasn't looking forward to it . When I got there they took more pictures then put me on this table where your boobs hang down . Discussed the whole procedure with me like leaving a metal tag in me etc. Then the doctor said she didn't think she could get both spots in one incision then off the table to take more pictures , back on the table .....then when they hooked up some thing to guide them to the spot they said they were sorry that these spots measured outside of my breast! So after laying on that table for a long time , listening to all the talk of more than one incision ....they told me to go home. No Biopsy! The whole thing was so crazy that I don't ever want another Mammogram. After they decided the spots were not in my breast after all - no one cared what they were. That whole thing left me confused. Hope everything goes smooth for you and the biopsy will be negative. I can't figure out why my doctors were so overly concerned about the spots when they thought they were in my breast , but don't have any concern for them if they are not.

We got an inch of snow this morning and are suppose to get 5 inches more. Lots of wind too here in Michigan.

NoMore: I agree that a positive mindset is important alone with positive actions. I kept telling myself I love exercise even when I didn't feel it and took action and believe it or not my attitude changed and I began to enjoy exercise.

Tikat: Sorry about all your appliance problems. Isn't it awful what it cost to get them fixed these days! I always seem to have more than one thing breakdown at a time too.
