I had great birthday breakfast - my parents surprised me with a cake :D

The medicine or supplement or whatever the doctor gave me for my stomach ailment seems to be cured my problem for a while and once finished, I got back my gassy, bloated tummy issue, uhuh.

I'm making lots of birthday wishes on my birthday and one of them is I want to move forward, let go of my my 2009 guy who I like very, very much but I couldn't get into relationship. It's been 5 years and it's should be good time to move on, not dwell in past of what might have become. Maybe I need help from my friends to get over this guy and get introduced to whoever they think might be suitable for me, kinda like arranged date or something like that, haha.

Happy Birthday!! I'm sorry I'm late but I just got on Sparkpeople for the first time in a few days! It is Christmas! I am very tired tonight. I was away last night and didn't get as much sleep as I needed. I hope you had a wonderful day! I wish you the best for the whole year to come!

I'm back! I was on holiday with my parents, visiting my relatives in the other side of Malaysia. Afterwards, just a mixture of tired and laziness that prevent me from getting active again in SparkPeople, hehe.

Can't wait for this Thursday, it's my birthday and it falls on public holiday so I can enjoy my birthday :D

Well, yes, you are a very busy person. I would definitely keep a log of your after hours work activity!

I have been struggling with eating and tracking my food and today will be another one of those days because my son has started a new job at a new restaurant/lounge and today they are having a time for family and friends to come and they will practice on us before it opens to the public next week. Ross, my oldest son, is still in university for business but needs to have a bit of an income to pay for his living expenses and school! He is a very ambitious young man.

Tomorrow is the band concert for my youngest boy at the high school and I am the uniform coordinator. It has been a struggle, as usual, to get all the kids to cooperate. I will be so glad when I can pass this job to someone else! It probably won't happen until Ben graduates...next year.

Have a great weekend! Hope you can get some rest!

Cherie

I think I'm working more like engineers not business support - always have to available around the clock, especially there's no one else they can contact on same time zone for this application. There are other experts but either they are halfway around the globe or unknown in this asia pacific region. Oh well, at least I know there's always someone needs me around, haha. I can say my work is both physically and mentally exhausting, a combination of both. If I do jobs at my computer, mostly mental job but if I need to do jobs that require me to stretch my legs (document preparation, escorting contractors, arrange meeting), those are physical.

My mom suggested me to start keep track all my after-office hours so that I can show the list to my boss and supervisor. A good idea and if they see I have those late calls, I hope they will understand if I have to go to office late. I need to wake up around 5 am for my prayer but if I feel so tired, I usually sneak in nap before go to work. Though my dad always hate this, complained constantly. Hmm, maybe I should take nap at work instead but then it's also same thing coz then those top guys will see I'm unavailable at my desk!

You have to do what you need to! You need to sleep, too! Your co workers weren't working til all hours, were they? What do you do for work? Is it mind boggling work? Mine is a little bit of both, physically and mentally exhausting at times. I am a nurse in a long term care facility. Sometimes everything runs smoothly but it can get hectic in a hurry.

I think my boss much prefer us to come to office early but sometimes on previous night, I have to stay up late to communicate with my colleagues across the world (usually they are about 7 to 12 hrs difference). So, either I have to go back home early so that I can rest for the night session or I come much later to the office on next day. Either way probably made me look like a bad staff for having a wreck time schedule! Even though we do have flexible time, it depends on the bosses on how exactly we want to manage our time.

Yes, it is dangerous to drive in heavy rain. It would be nice to work from home but in my line of work, that is just not possible! lol

One friend did this knitting with one needle, she once created a cute doll though I'm not sure if it's a frog or some cartoon character :D

Two days in a row of heavy rain. My dad, my Rain Knight, drove me these two days but he also asked me to ask my supervisor whether I can work from home instead if weather is bad. It's dangerous to drive in heavy rain, with bad visibility, slippery road, flooded area.

Here's to new month, December, my most favourite month!

Yes, there was black Friday here but I don't think it was as bad as in the United States. I didn't get a little bit of shopping done and I like your ideas! I will have to think about it! Too bad I don't knit but maybe I will learn someday.

I like the beginning of the month! It is always nice to start fresh and on a Monday is even better! So, here I am, saying this will be a great month! I will continue to exercise with my fitbit and I will track my food! Yes, I will!

Flirting supposed to be fun, makes people happy :D

I hope your place doesn't have Black Friday; from what I read, sounds like bloodbath shopping day!
I'm so glad our Eid doesn't have gift-giving tradition, I will be clueless what to give others; I want to give books but not everyone is a book nerd like me LOL Though it still quite headache on packet money - how much should I give to my nieces from various ages, haha. Perhaps this year, you can do something creative but not costly? If you're good with knitting, maybe you can make hp accessories, mobile casing or bookmark?

lol, Fathin, you made me smile when you talk of flirting. Enjoy!!

It is time to shop for Christmas and I always feel like I don't know what anyone will want and that I shouldn't be spending money when we have other priorities like preparing for a home reno... oh boy...I guess I will just stay home and do some housecleaning and maybe some baking. lol

I have a flirt friend in aps game! Ok, it sounds crazy when I said it out loud but it was fun to play with double-meaning words and it's hard to find people like that around me LOL It's fun to figure out what he meant and making he figure out what I'm saying and it's like we have our own secret code LOL So, I'm always looking forward Friday or Saturday night because that was when his daytime.

Sometimes, being single is fun coz I don't feel like I'm cheating with my boyfriend/husband when I flirt with a guy, no guilty feeling, hehe.

I found a pair of red boots with chunky heels last Sunday. Today is Wednesday, it's been three days of me holding myself so that I have more time to decide whether buy them or not :D I never have boots except a pair of cadet boots that my ex-roommate accidentally took on our last day at matriculation campus (she left her much smaller boots so I rolled my eyes and left hers at our dorm room).

I have the same problem, the scale is not my friend, but it is not the scales fault. I have been walking more and getting my 10000 steps in but I have been eating bad choices...last night was our staff Christmas party but because I had to work so for all the staff who couldn't go, the managers bought us Chinese food. There was tons and tons of food! I know I ate way too much. Now, of course, the scale was at an all time hight today...so now...I need to reign it in!!

I sympathize with your work situation...just do the best you can and keep your head up! Don't let them get you down. Sometimes if you wait out a problem, it will fix itself. Maybe a good opportunity will come your way to make your work life better.

Yesterday, had a little excited thing happened at our home. A dog somehow got inside the yard but couldn't get out. The dog just yapped, bark so loudly that mom checked out whether the dog was outside or inside. Seeing the dog trapped, she just opened the gate and the dog let itself out.

Funny thing was the dog got trapped again few minutes later - inside our next door neighbour's front yard LOL

I had experience with people like these before. It's really, really hard to rub any lightness towards them and I'm more likely to be drawn into their darkness instead of them into my lightness (sounds like in fantasy fiction, haha). And worse, I will have to tip toe around them as they are more likely to jump into wrong conclusion about me instead of actually ask me. I think even vampires are more cheery folks compare to them, hehe.

This week, except for Monday, I didn't do any exercise, I'm so dead tired. Barely get 4 hrs sleep at night. Last night, I fall asleep on floor, looks like I'm relapsing, huh. Hopefully you will get more than 5 hrs sleep, Cherie, as I also want to.

Maybe they are rubbing off on you and that is why you are cussing? Maybe you need to laugh even more!!! Maybe you can rub off on them!! Maybe a better opportunity will come to you.

I'm tired today...I've only had 5 hours of sleep each night for the last 2 nights...I like to have much more! Tonight I will go to bed earlier. I don't work this evening. I will go to a Zumba class with my friend, Charlene.

Some people did tell me that my laughter affect their moods making them cheerful again :D My old boss also said same thing, something about I'm lifting the team's spirit :D

How I wish I can go back to time, stay in my old team. But that team has disband because our operation has finished so I was supporting operation team till I get drag into support team (still same department) so here I am, unhappy as hell. You know, ever since I officially move to be closer to the current team, I keep cursing in my head LOL I might accidentally speak out loud cussing words, haha.

This December, I will turn 31 but most of time, I feel early 20s or late teen LOL So, I'll probably hit 40 for that maturity for marriage! Like that guy Joker said, "Why so serious?" Yeah, some of things we need to take things seriously but why can't we take things seriously with big smile. I don't know why people keep telling me to stop laugh too much. When I don't laugh or smile, I feel so depressed, moody and angry.

You don't sound like an old maid if you are considering romance...spinsters have sworn off men and are bitter and angry...you don't sound like that...yet!! lol May I ask how old you are? These days it seems everyone is starting later in like for family and marriage...I think that is good as maybe they are more mature in the decisions they make.

Agree; it will be hard to leave a good workspace even though have unpleasant colleagues.

I used to have a colleague similar like yours. She lorded over me, thought I made her look worse but luckily, I made a decision to not support her team and backup by my then-former boss. I asked her project manager did I actually act stupid questions as she accused me and if my performance supporting his team (she's one of the lead in HIS team and I was actually responding to his request to help his team). He said no for both so I guess she still had grunge against me coz of personal issue with me.

And when I thought this week couldn't get worse, my dad told me, nay, order me to stop buying books coz he thought my books are all weird and not giving any benefits at all. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Yeah, I know that my bedroom looks like a books store with a bed but to say that my bedroom is satan's favourite, made me so sad but realized either I get bookcase inside my bedroom or add a new bookcase in the house or I have to donate my books that I very rarely read.

people said buy motivation books to get inspired but I can get that from inspiration characters.

travel round the globe for adventure? Dad will never allow me to go anywhere except with my parents so fictions are my best trip to adventures, even travel across time and dimension :D

meet new guys? I still can't figure out where to meet new people other than my department and like I used to say, my parents like mafia, they keep me in very tight leash so it's hard to get out and hang out with others not my parents. Yeah,I know that they worry constantly about me as their only daughter but I do feel like damsel trapped in high tower guarded by fierce dragon. So through fictions I can meet new guys, haha.

lol I hate to say it but maybe some ass kissing would help!! lol But I'm with you though...I don't do that... I have a boss who used to be an equal to me as a nurse doing bedside care, but I didn't feel like she was a good worker...then she applied for a Director of Care position and got it because no one else applied...I don't think she is a good manager either...I'm hoping that I can outlast her and maybe she will move on to some other job...but our work environment has suffered since she has been promoted...I just like my job too much or I would go somewhere else, but it is close to home and I have bonded with many of my residents.

Both boss and direct supervisors are not people I'm comfortable talking with. Isn't it weird that I can talk freely to expat bosses compared to local bosses (those two are locals), uhuh. I feel like I'm at the lowest rank among my team member. It's like whatever I did when I was with other team (still same department), with other bosses, with my 7 years experience, are ignored. Maybe just my imagination. Also maybe because I'm not good with kissing asses coz I'm more to direct approach than get all flowery to say my point. I think I'm polite and nice with my colleagues but I think because I'm so different with their attitude that I'm like this black sheep in the team. I feel so crappy ever since I join the team :(

Oh wow!! Sounds like a very aggravating situation! Sounds like your boss got a bad review for a reason! I understand how some co workers could be trying to make themselves look better by making you look bad...that is not a good team member!! Is your boss someone you feel comfortable talking to? Sometimes they like to be asked their opinion on how to improve (it makes them feel important...) or you could go and let him know your plan on how you think you could improve (well, really you are already doing the best you can but it makes them feel like they must have made an impression) Talk to your supervision about your tasks. Is there some way to get it all done or share the load...I would also be a little more straight forward and say, I don't think it is fair that you will reduce the bonus! but that is just me maybe... it really does seem to be a "dog eat dog" world! I hope it all works out for you!!

My challenge is to get my passport!! I went yesterday with Ben's and my forms all filled out. Ben has a band trip with the school next spring and he needs a passport so his form was processed first and went fine...mine...not so fine...apparently the form I picked up at the post office last week was not the updated version so it didn't say that I would need proof of my name changes...I've been married twice so they need to see documentation of it all...I was soooo disappointed. I had been so excited as I have never had a passport and I've wanted to travel but couldn't...I will try again today

I'm feeling so depressed now, so could you please give me some advices. Read below.

Other than rain-triggered-SAD, yesterday I was so unhappy for rest of the day because of bad performance review at work. I was quite surprised about my boss' review about my performance because my former bosses always said I did great job. Some of the bad points, I could accept but there was one point that I couldn't accept but was so stunned at the time I heard about it that I didn't defend myself (it was as if my mind went numb). Apparently, I have too selective response towards different people or clients/customers (people that I helped/supported in the department).

Hang on, WHO THE HECK SAID THAT?!!

I strongly believe I respond to everyone almost equally and if I did react worse compare to others, it was probably when I was drowned in work and those people probably requested things that they could themselves or ask others OR it was simply they met me when I was at wrong time (usually after people commented my single status).

When I said no, I always tried to be as polite as possible and suggested alternatives. Or if my clients insisted that I should help them, I would either said they had to wait till I completed current urgent tasks or I could try to squeeze in their requests, depends on the urgency and the difficulty level. I don't want to be that person who keep saying yes to every job - one of my former bosses adviced me to learn how to say NO.

One of my colleagues suggested that those people who complained about me might wanted me to go down, hoping I would get bad review from my current boss. And apparently this boss also got bad review himself so he hit hard with his team members.

And as for the other review points, it always started with "You did well with this/that task but ...". Dammit, why wait till end of year to give me bad review when that boss could said something earlier or delegate the unpleasant task to told me through his underling which is my direct supervisor. It's not like we didn't meet at all!!! To make things worse, my boss, with his usually smirking face, said that I will unlikely to get good bonus next year. GODDAMMIT, I felt like I want to curse him hell and back.

There are several times I told my direct supervisor about my tasks but I wonder if they are really aware of my tasks. Ever since I officially changed team, changed boss, I feel like drifting in unknown flow, I felt like I'm this unwanted team member.

So, I need advice:
- how should I handle this situation - when I got the bad performance review even though I think I didn't do as bad as what they said (whoever complained about me)
- what should I do to "fight back"?
- how do I keep up with my boss, direct supervisor and team? Sometimes I feel suffocated with them compare to my previous team and former bosses.

Anytime you want warm weather, you can come to my area, hehe. Though right now, it's rainy season; not as cold as snow but cool enough that you don't need air-con for sleeping :D

I don't think we have official public holiday here for Veterans. Maybe a remembrance day but not an official off day. But here, when we said veterans, that always refer to people above 60 years old or maybe it's more than 65 years old now since retirement age increased.

I'm hoping a good day for jogging today :D It rained earlier so perhaps this afternoon, will be cloudy but not raining yet, hehe.

Yesterday, I was so sleepy that I even typo'ed my own name! I guess because I used to sleep late during weekend so when it's time to work, my body can't switch to normal waking hours, uhuh. So, you're right, we should go to bed earlier, not spend most of morning sleeping, should have same sleep schedule everyday including public holidays/weekends.

Snow might be exciting and fanciful for the first week....then, I just want warm weather again!

I understand how it is much easy to talk with men than with women...so much pressure to be accepted by girls, yet boys are very easy to talk to...lol I have always been that way, too.

Today it is windy and cold. I don't like wind...Ben does not have school today or tomorrow. Tomorrow is Veterans Day or what we call Remembrance Day and so since the holiday is on a Tuesday they also get Monday off. It is nice to sleep in a few extra days but we really should go to bed earlier...that is always a bit of a problem.

Cherie

Wow, it's already starting to snow? I miss the white sight, the icy breeze (a good excuse to bundle up, my favourite, hehe). I've only experienced snow once on my trip to Uzbekistan :D Snow made it feels like in fantasy world and timeless. Maybe because my birthday is in winter so I always like winter and always dream of watching the season change to/from winter :D

Last Friday, I had breakfast with guys and even though two out of three of them were just met, I could dive into chat with them easily compare to in a group of girls whom I just met. What is wrong with me, haha. Sometimes I feel like Robin from the TV series "How I Met Ykur Mother" - could be ackward around girls.

Way to go, Fathin! Keep it up!! Yes, your muscles will definitely warm up to the idea of jogging!

Today I will have to do a walking workout or I could just go and shovel the sidewalk...I woke up to snow this morning but I am hoping it might not stay...

last night at our music parents meeting, I was told that all the uniforms have to be emptied out of the room they are in for the renovations...so today I got 3 clothing racks from the janitors and I made room in my basement and I started to move everything! We will have to finish next week but it was a good workout!!

Yesterday, I did upper body and core strength exercises then sprint outside to wash my car. So, it was a mixture of exercise and non-exercise workout, haha.

During washing my car, I noticed a tiny crack at the windshield. Uhuh, I hope it was not really a crack but when I drag Dad outside to inspect, he said yes and it will cost thousands to replace that big, big piece of glass! It must be when I passed guys cutting grass along the road and usually pebbles are flying, sometimes hit passerby and passing cars (which is why I always scared to walk pass them, haha). Technically, the car is still Dad's but I'm the car-keeper so I want to pinch in paying the cost (I already started to pay gas and car services since I started using the car). Hopefully not double-digit thousands worth :D

Lesson learned (or lecture from Dad): if I went to office very early, this will not happen as those guys who cut grass probably not started before 7 am so I need to leave house before 6:30 am *gasp!

I used to have cats that lived outside when I was young, then I had 2 cats when my older 2 boys were small but when I had my 3rd boy, my allergies got worse and I get bad itchy eyes and sneezing. So...I can visit with a cat but I can't live with one.

The 5K walk/job program is great! Good choice! You can do it! I went to a Zumba Step class with my friend last evening. That was fun!

I read somewhere (probably from a detective manga) that cat's hair are so fine that it's easily to sneeze without knowing why, which is why you probably can still survive dogs but not cats. Maybe we can get you a stuff cat, instead, hehe.

Talking about cat, one of my cats (this is another cat's adventure) wasn't home last night till my dad came back from Masjid (dunno why when he comes back late, he always return when my dad comes home from prayer). He looked spooked, breathing rather heavily and sadly, ran away from me everytime I came closer to him. My dad's theory was he ran from a large black dog and my dad saw one stray nearby and because I was wearing black pants, he probably linked me with the black dog. I was so happy to see him had no physical injure but maybe he was emotionally scarred from his escape.

Yesterday, I started SparkPeople 5K Walk/Jog Program. Got 2.8 km in 34 minutes of walk/jog :D And I didn't cheat at jogging like I always did in the past LOL When it was time to jog, I count slowly in my head, usually ended at 30 when reached 1 minute.

I enjoy your cat adventures! Cats are so independent and it's like they are the masters and you are the servant. I'm surprised the cat didn't alert them to open the gate! lol I like cats but my allergies don't. I don't even think I should have my dog but I can bath her and it helps...hmmm...I think she could use a bath now...

It is cold and rainy here today, it is trying to snow. I do not want winter to arrive yet!

I have been fighting headaches lately. I think it is tension in my neck and back. Sometimes a workout will help loosen me up. Today I just want to drink coffee...probably not the best idea. I will go do some stretching. Have a good day!!

I was so happy last night that my cat returned home. She was missing on last Friday and last night, as usual, I meow-call her and suddenly heard a faint meowing sound. Sound like her but to be certain, I meowing again and she answered but I still couldn't find the source. Then more meowing while moving around and I found out that she was somewhere in our neighbour's backyard and our neighbour's house is behind our house. To make story short, called that neighbour to confirm whether they have seen our cat and yes, they said they did saw a cat with similar colouring and we (mom and I) rushed to their house. It was a great joy to call her again outside their house gate and she suddenly appeared and running towards me! Never seen a cat running towards me except when I called them for food or when we played tag. Spend few minutes to figure out how to get her out of our neighbour's house then she found an small opening to squeeze out.

If you're wondering why I didn't call our neighbour to just open the gate: the person I called was not at home and there were only her son (around primary school age) and a maid. Though, she (the person I called not the cat) did told her maid to be prepared to expect us.

Today is a new day...a new week...a fresh start...yesterdays mistakes are in the past. Don't let them pull you down. Maybe some of it WAS because you were hungry.

I am finished working the weekend...my problem is still getting enough sleep. Tonight I will be home all evening, no evening activities. We will definitely have an early night. It snowed last night but I hope it melts. I don't want the snow to stay yet.

I thought it's only kids who get Halloween candy and adults suppose to give them away? Hehe.
Nice move, put extra candy in a box, taped it, put into freezer. You should hide knife and scissors, just in case, wouldn't want to open the box accidentally, hehe.
We don't celebrate Halloween here so I still can't grasp the idea of 31st October with candy fever :D

Yesterday, sadly, I sort of throw a tantrum like a 3 years old (I think I was way well behaved when I actually a 3 y.o.!). For weeks, I anticipated, so looking forward to get this travel pillow with raccoon design (see my blog on Saturday 1st Nov 2014). You can get different design every weeks since September and the raccoon is the last design and my favourite. So, yesterday, the second day of Raccoon week, I was so happy to get mine. But when it was to get mine, all were sold on on THE FIRST DAY!!! I was very, very disappointed, even my mom saw how depressed my face, kinda like a kid who dreamed to get that nice toy on Christmas but didn't get one on the actual day, uhuh. Embarrassingly, I even cried a little, haha. The store assistant suggested us to go to other branch so we went with me dragging my feet, no mood to find one. And there was plenty at other branch but I didn't have much energy to bring my enthusiasm (when we got back home then I finally cheer up, haha). We need to buy minimum amount of purchase to be eligible to buy the Raccoon and the little tantrum that I did was I throw down a heavy bag of cat food in front of my mom. Man, I felt so bad doing that but I made excuse that I was so tired and so hungry (it was around noon and I always eat lunch around 11:30 am).

Yay!! It's a new month! It's really too bad I ended last month with a binge of Halloween candy because today I feel puffy, swollen, and I have a bad headache! I put all the extra candy in a box and taped it up with packing tape and put it in the freezer. I will not be the person to open that box!! haha! Now to go do a workout before I go to work!!

I think that's sweet for still remember your husband after 20 years and you raised great boys who I belief will follow good steps of their father :)

Last three nights, I slept past midnight. I blame myself - allowed myself get distracted with getting online, uhuh.

This morning, planning to jog - mom's idea :D She's currently on roll of losing weight since she saw her passport's picture, hehe.

Good luck with all the test results! I'm sure you are a healthy young woman! Yes, maybe more sleep is needed. I know that feeling.

Today it has been 20 years since my first husband died in a farming accident. My boys were 2 years and 6 mos at the time. They are now 22 and 20! It was a hard time but I believe everything happens for a reason. My boys have grown into amazing young men and honour their father's memory with their ambition and integrity.

Happy Halloween!

Then it's very fortunate for me coz we don't celebrate Halloween here, no possibility of too much chocolate and candy, hehe. I guess those expat families probably have their Halloween trick or treat in their neighbourhood area.

Just got a call from the hospital, my blood test is ready for me to collect. But I still haven't submit my urine sample because I had my period when I did the blood test. Maybe there no big problem about my health, just that I need better rest control.

Everyday that we make good choices is a good day and a day to celebrate! Although maybe we shouldn't use food as a reward. Since it is Halloween tomorrow, I know there may be too much chocolate and candy around to make good choices...I will try!

Alas, this morning I didn't do any exercise because I overslept, my alarm didn't work because I charged my phone (I turn off the hp), I slept late last night because I finished the last few chapters from a romance book (the story was magical and funny by author Alexandria Potter, "The Love Detective", happened mostly in India).

I know it's too early to celebrate my morning exercise streak, it's suspiciously feel too good, hehe.

Three days straight of morning exercises with NSYNC songs, hehe. Reminds me of my good ol' days when the only thing I worried about was pass my exam, haha.
Last night, I nearly fall asleep late again because of Mr Crane but I managed to push myself into bedroom :D
Right now, my thighs and butt are so sore from my morning strength exercises. I think the culprit is 3 rounds of 5 reps of squat-to-curl-to-press using 3.5 kg dumbbells.

I know the feeling, Fathin! I have been a train wreck since I had that ear infection. I have done exactly 2 workouts since then!! Oh boy... So, at least I had a healthy breakfast today but I work this evening and have a lot to do before I go. So....Sleepy Hollow, didn't help you sleep! lol Yes, I understand. first day of my new schedule :D And I already mess up by waking up later than I planned, NOOOOOOOOO. Well, the big reason is because I slept late last night, around 11:15 pm so no wonder I woke up after 5:30 am, not after 4:30 am as planned. It's thanks to Mr Crane, he made me watch Sleepy Hollow, haha.

I woke up with a headache today and it stayed with me inspite of Tylenol and Advil...I think I've been overtired all week and last night I tried to get more sleep but maybe it was a restless sleep instead of restful...

Well, I'm glad to see you got things looked into. Probiotics are a good start. Perhaps i should get some for myself. Maybe it would get rid of my sugar cravings.

Happy New Year! It is always a good time to start fresh. I look toward a new month or new year to do the same. Right now I feel out of control with my eating and I am so tired but it is from the late hours and early mornings... Some I can change but not all of it. Tomorrow I look forward to sleeping in and hopefully it is a good catch up. Tomorrow is a fresh day, with no mistakes in it. I will start again then.

I met the gyno yesterday as I have enough free time (today, Saturday, is a public holiday and our company's rule is to one day off on Friday before if public holiday fall on Saturday). Actually, I met a MO (medical officer) first then she referred me to a specialist (gyno). The gyno asked me questions and did that gel scanning thing on the area below my belly (I couldn't recall the word in english, haha). She said everything's fine but if after I finished my period and I still have the yellowish discharge, see her again for further examination. Regarding my bloated gassy burping problem, she said that's could be my intestine problem which I need to see a different specialist (she gave me two names). But first, she recommended me to take probiotic supplements in 30 days. If the problem still ongoing, she said I can see the specialist.

Sadly, I couldn't get free probiotic supplement from her as that's not covered under gyno specialist, haha. Anyhow, it's not that too expensive so nothing to complain. If I can buy hundreds worth of books, why can't I buy that supplements myself instead of waiting to get them free, right :D

Today is new year of Hijr calendar so it's a good time to start new leaf, new book, new habit. I know I have bad habit on getting distracted with apps games, with whatever I read online, watching tv programme and I always end up not doing things I should prioritize first (i.e sleep early, do morning exercises, ironing, start my study!) So, this two days, I will prepare my space (bedroom, study table) and routine schedule (like when I was in boarding school, hehe). Also, plan my 4 weeks startup exercise plan which I got rough ideas from a website :D Actually, that website is mainly about strength training but I get some inspiration :D

After two days of unusual discharge, I got my period. But my period also seems to be weird because I usually have heavy flow on my first three days but there seems to be like I almost nearing my period AND I'm 6 days early compare to my previous period date (usually I'm 2 - 4 days earlier). My usual doctor is currently off doing his Hajj so last time when I see another doctor, that doctor seemed taking longer to warm up with me, haha. Anyhow, today I'll be going back home earlier so that I can go checkup my condition. Maybe it's nothing to worry about but I feel strange with my current period. Maybe I'm going to get menopause but I'm just early 30s :(

Early today, I got a sad news - one of my relatives passed away early this morning. It was a shock coz I always saw him walk around our neighbourhood (his afternoon walk) and he looked healthy to me.

I'm sure a regular doctor will be able to direct your care. Don't be scared, it's better to be assertive about your health. I know I am very self conscious about my body but when it comes to my health, I suck it up and let the professionals do what they need to... This too shall pass and you will be fine but don't ignore it. :) you can do it!

I don't know why people are afraid to go to dentist, seeing a doctor about feminine issue is much scarier, haha. So, should I meet regular doctor or book an appointment with the specialist? I've never met a gyno so not quite sure if I should see regular doctor first? Hopefully I will get the famous female doctor that my colleagues keep recommending me to see (actually, I think that might be the only doctor in the panel hospital, haha)

Yes, maybe a little uncomfortable or embarrassing but that is not as bad as not getting treatment for something that may be simple and then it becomes something so much worse. Bite the bullet and get checked out!! lol Then you can feel better! good luck!

Yeah, that what I'm thinking and also what my doctor advices me to to do. But after my last experience with blood test, I think I scarred for life, haha. The nurse who took my blood made that few minutes excruciating painful, it took me everything not to scream and chop off that nurse's hand, hehe.

I also have some weird discharge since yesterday, maybe because it's closer to my TOM but this is my first time I had it. I want to check with my doctor or maybe a gynecologist but the idea of something scrapping inside of my V made me think hundreds of possible scary situations - some of my friends who did pap smear said it can be painful plus so embarrassing, uhuh.

As a nurse, I have not seen anyone have a fever from doing exercise...Fever indicates infection.... maybe you should go get poked...? Maybe a virus?

Then it's good that you have limited time and too long line for buying popcorn :D
I read the book synopsis and the ending is too sad for me. So, I decided not to see the movie till I can see the movie on tv channel where I can cry as much asI want at safety of my home, hehe.

The first two weeks of Oct 2014, I experimented with my exercises, do alternate days of 3 - 5 minutes (but I end up doing 3 days each week with one or two days between exercise days, haha). At first, I thought I would be fine but end of last week, started to feel feverish again, uhuh. So, either something with my sleep pattern which still not properly scheduled. Or something wrong with my body which I will need to do blood test (so terrified of someone poking me and get my blood!). Or I'm just in my quarter life crisis, haha.

I went to the movie "The Best of Me" and I loved it! AND i didn't have any popcorn!!! Well, truth be told, it wasn't by my choice! I took my friend Charlene and I texted her and said, can we go early so we can park and get treats before the movie. She said, sure, pick me up at 7:00... In my head, I was thinking, "7pm! The movie starts at 7:20!!! How am I suppose to pick her up, find a place to park, and get popcorn before the movie with only 20 min!!!??" So, of course I picked her up...and had to wait for her because she hurt herself twice in the last few days that I didn't know about and so she was quite sore to move around...she coulda told me...then I coulda went earlier...anyway, so then we drive to the theatre...yup, Friday and super busy and this was the first night for this movie...oh boy... so it took us about 15 min just to park, and run in...so we just went straight into the theatre...I tried to go back to get popcorn but the lines were so long that I just turned around and went back to my seat... :( but the movie was good, needed tissue! So....that was my movie night!

lol you make me laugh when you say that your family is like mafia! I think that is a good thing! and trust their judgement, too. If they are not sure, then that is a clue that you should think very hard about it too. Don't just let your heart make all the decisions. lol

Poor Ben but at least he starts to eat solid food :)
Wow, 88 y.o! In chinese, that's 8 is a lucky number so double 8 means double lucky for your mom :D
Maybe you lose weight because you're worried about Ben's losing his weight, something about mom-son link :D Not sure if my mom has ever lose weight because of me but maybe gain weight because of me, hehe.
I wish I can try turkey with stuffing, that sounds yum yum! But I've never seen anyone made that here and turkey is not something you can find easily except those turkey slices for sandwiches, haha.

I always thought my Mr Right will be someone sitting next to me in the plane, hehe. Wish good luck for that Mr Right to face my whole family - I don't envy all those grilling and all those background research, feel like I have mafia family, haha.

This past weekend was very busy for me! It was my sister-in-law's wedding (my husband's sister) and my mom's birthday and a lot of my family came from out of province to visit and help her celebrate. She turned 88. It was also the first few days that Ben was able to eat more solid food because of his jaw surgery but honestly I think he will lose more weight now that he is eating solid food way tooo slow and his ADD medicine takes his appetite away and before I could get him to eat way more!!! I'm very concerned for him...I think this will be a long recovery... but today is his first day back to school after 3 weeks and I think he will have a lot of catching up to do!!! Well, I guess we'll just have to deal with it. I actually lost weight this weekend! Not sure how I did that but I won't complain! Didn't really need to overeat anyway even though it was also our National holiday for Thanksgiving. lol Usually overeat too much turkey and stuffing...but this time I didn't!! yay!!

I think I might look for those books at the library but like I said, takes me too long to read them as I fall asleep so fast! lol

I say, don't worry, keep an open mind about meeting Mr Right, and it will happen when it is suppose to.

The book that I read was "Beautiful Disaster", that's from the heroin's point of view. And there's another book, "Walking Disaster", that's from the hero's point of view. Honestly, I prefer the guy's view because I'm always cheer on that guy getting the girl while I sometimes want to strangle the girl for making that guy like yo-yo. Sometimes, I think the way of women's thinking is too complicated, hehe. I wish I can finally meet a guy who straight forward saying what he has in his mind instead of giving me sugar-coated version or worse, hide his real intention.

I had another ladies chit chat with my mom yesterday. She felt in her gut that one day, I will met a guy and get married similar with how my parents met - my dad moved to her school (they were both teachers at that time then dad got another job) and within 4 months, they get married! And my mom point out my uncle who also get married quickly and also one of my male cousins. Funny thing is, both my uncle and cousin got matched by my mom but her own daughter not even close to get married LOL

That sounds like an interesting book! I wish I could stay awake long enough to read more than a few pages at a time! I am reading "Gone Girl" as the movie will be coming out right away and thought I would like to read the book first but I am only on chapter 2! I keep falling asleep as soon as I start to read as I only read once I get into bed at night with my kobo and I'm so tired lately that I just can't stay awake! As for the questions that kept you awake, sounds like idle worrying, everything will happen for you the way it is meant to and I'm sure you are only given what you can handle. I think when the right person enters your world, you will know what to do and you will be ready. It sounds like you are open minded and watching for the right opportunities so just be confident that everything will happen exactly how it is supposed to in time.

Just found out that I have to move from my current cubicle to next. You know how I'm emotionally attached to not-living objects and my cubicle is one of them LOL So, lots of things to get cleanout, pack and all those activities that a hoarder doesn't like to do, haha.

Last night, I finished a YA book, it's a romance story about a rough-around-edges guy and a seemly-innocent-but-dark-past girl. He's a guy who play hard, fight hard and she doesn't want to be involved with a guy like that because he reminds her of her dark past (something about her dad's life). To make story short, that guy is curious about the girl's rejection of not wanting to be around him (he's a rogue, sleeping around, no commitment but somehow all ladies want to be with him even if just one-night stand, I don't understand what's to like about that, haha) but slowly, they build a close friendship and even slower pace, they started to fall in love to each other. But their love is a very rough ride - from that guy's side, this is his first love and he feels insecure about the girl as he feels no one is good enough for her and from the girl's side, she still get haunted by her past - she's afraid being with that guy will make her life back to her old life when she had to live around shady characters, her dad's gambling, etc.

What I want to say about the story is after I finished, I had a very hard time to fall asleep (that's very rare for me as I'm like 1-2-3 count and go to sleep like in magic show, haha). I kept thinking if I'm in that relationship, will I survive the overwhelm of that guy's love and affectionate? Will I able to stand my jealousy and my own insecure as that guy can have any girl he wants? Will I ever build my self-esteem and never get haunted by dark past (I do have some bad memory that if my parents know, I dread the terrible consequence)? And my big question - will I ever let myself to love someone after get burned so many times?

In the end, I somehow fall asleep with lots of questions in my mind.

Well, maybe we can you're at seamstress' apprentice, hehe. But that's still impressive that you can sew, I think nowadays people not really good with sewing or even minor stitching.

Weekend, I played with my cats, either I mimicked them do the cat hunt moves (crouching, walk silently then run fast and catch!) or get my hands caught by them or just play catch-that-grass with some of the "ladylike" cats (meaning, not too aggressive player, hehe). Running just that little bit made me a little breathless, haha.

Last Sunday, we celebrated Eid Adha; related to the historic time when Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son to follow God's command (in Islam, it's Ishmael, son from his second wife but I think in Christian, it's Isaac from first wife, right?) Eid Adha also the peak time of Hajj. Then in about three weeks, we will celebrate the Hijri New Year - the Eid Adha is in the last month of Hijri calendar :D So, that means in October, here, we have two public holidays, hehe.

Anyhow, I took part of the slaughtering as my parents did, too. However, instead of I join the neighbours divided the meat, I stayed at home as my relatives drop by to visit us as my parents' host (both my parents were actively participating with handling the meat). A short visit, more like a "may we use your toilet" visit, haha. Anyhow, with their visit, came the most dreaded question: when will you get married? i told them, I'm still collecting fund for my wedding (half true, half sarcasm). Maybe I should start to create fiction about I have a long-distance relationship, haha.

Oh, Fathin, you made me laugh! Yes, I did a seamstress challenge! I am definitely not a seamstress, I am quite challenged by it! But I did manage to do the minor repairs that I could, the rest may have to be taken to a REAL seamstress!

Yesterday I actually did the first workout since I got sick with the ear infection!! I did 2 miles of a Leslie Sansone DVD and I got my 10000 steps in yesterday! Yay!

I know that the no tv after 9:30 would definitely be the hardest challenge I could do, keep trying or maybe modify your goals so it is more reachable...good luck!

Well, at least you did a seamstress challenge to start new month instead of totally slacking off, hehe. Following my plan, Oct 1st I did 3-min exercises, the next day was rest day and today, plan to do my 3-min. But I already not following my offline/no-tv at 9:30 pm on Thursday - there was a movie on tv and the main character is a jump rope athlete (which is why I kinda can relate myself to her even though I've never compete in any jump rope competition, hehe).

Yay for new month, fresh start! I dunno why but starting new at the beginning of a month feel great compare to mid or end of month, haha.

That Japanese Chicken wings sounds yum!

To fix my hoarder issue, I start small, remove things that I have less attachment. But the process is slower than my hoarding habit, haha. But at least I get started somewhere, right :D

Yesterday, I start my new plan. Did my 3-min exercise, 6-min late of stop going online (also did some sneak peak at tv whenever I pass the living room, hehe) and because of a book, I slept around 11:30 pm. So, I guess I have to add reading book as part of things to stop to do at night so that I can go to sleep earlier :D

Hi, Fathin! I missed you! My son's are all doing well. My oldest enjoyed his birthday, Japanese Chicken wings are breaded, fried chicken wings then baked in a sweet type of sauce...yummy. My middle boy is doing well, I don't know how his "hoarding" affects him but I know he lives in a very small space, so I hope he has room to move around!! lol My youngest did well with the surgery, he has lost some weight but this morning the scale was up a small amount so that gave him hope that he might not lose as much as we thought. and we know that we just have to keep encouraging him to eat every 2-3 hours.

I have been busy with feeding Ben( it is quits a time consuming process!) and dealing with the band uniforms (also a VERY time consuming process! ) but today is the beginning of a new month so I am starting fresh with a challenge on one of my teams so I look forward to getting back to it! I haven't hit my 10000 steps in quite a few days, especially after being sick with vertigo myself!! So, now let's start a new month!! Yay!

Been away for long, long time. Well, maybe not that long, though, haha.

Cherie, your son and I can join Novice Hoarder together LOL Whenever I've to throw things, feel like crying, even though just empty cosmetic box or a torn sock, haha.

Happy birthday 22nd to your oldest son! Hope everyone had great time celebrating his birthday :D So, what's Japanese Chicken Wings, must be something delicious especially when you spend most of the day cooking :D

Wishing your youngest son get good recovery time from his jaw surgery. Hopefully he will not become a skeleton, what with the difficulty to eat with wired jaw and picky eater habit. I thought as a mom, you can just force him to eat, hehe. Kinda reminds me of when I was a kid, I didn't eat much of rice (rice is staple food here) so my mom gave me alternative - Nestum and Quaker Oat and other cereals that either the mushy type or the crunchy type :D But when I hit puberty and study in a boarding school, suddenly I had bigger appetite and thus, gain my curves LOL

So, my update so far: After two weeks of starting my workout regime, I felt not quite well which is a common thing whenever I restart exercising, uhuh. Last week, I was mostly away on business trip and enjoy myself with shopping and movies :D To sum up my business trip: daylight with workshop/conference and nightime with shopping and movies :D

One of my fitness buddies that I meet in the office suggested that I alternate days for exercise, perhaps this will work as I always get sick after two weeks of consistent workout. Probably not much rest, huh. So, 1st October, I start again. This time, my plan:
- alternate days for exercise
- start with 3-min home exercise, anything simple, not too stressful.
- I need to start slow down electronic usage by 9:30 pm (I tend to stuck with online or TV till nearly midnight!)

My youngest son, Ben, had jaw surgery on Sept 23rd. He did very well and now we are just at home, helping him heal. His jaw is wired shut so eating is a big challenge and because he was soooo slim to begin with, our goal is to try not to let him lose too much weight! Can you imagine that? lol So far so good! but we have 2 more weeks of this...oh boy it isn't easy to figure out what to feed him! He is a picky eater to begin with...

Fathin, how are you doing? What is new with you?

Fathin? How are you? What have you been up to? I am back at work after my ear infection. It has been a very busy week, trying to catch up in all the things I had to postpone while I was sick. Tomorrow is my oldest boy's birthday. He will be 22yrs old! Where has the time gone! Although he doesn't live here anymore, I will have a big meal for him and some friends. Japanese Chicken Wings is the annual menu choice so tomorrow I will spend most of my day cooking!! lol I hope you are having a good weekend!

How are you doing with your goals? The scale has been my friend but only because of being unable to eat well for a few days. I still feel a bit weak and would really like to workout!! but I have soooo much going on with the band uniform committee that I have to get done before next week! I just can't focus on working out...

It is called an inner ear infection but really it is called Vestibular Neuritis which is an inflammation of one of the nerves in the inner ear. Not visible if you look in the ear and drops would not do anything. The physio therapist suggested that allergies or a systemic virus may have triggered it. The exercises are mostly to help me learn to compensate for the unsteadiness but I think I have a natural ability to compensate as I used to be a figure skater so did a lot of spinning... I still feel a faint ringing and a feeling of fullness in my head that occasionally takes my breath away as it makes the room move when it isn't supposed to but overall I am recovering well, thank goodness!

I smile when you say you are a novice...not too hardcore...I have a son like you...lol I try curb his hoarding tendancies but he is such a sentimental type of boy. I understand. It is hard to let go....good luck!

Hmm, exercises for ear infection? Maybe I can suggest my mom for that. Since her ear surgery, she easily get infected. Usually doctors (she went to government hospital where the specialist keep changing so got several doctors LOL) gave her medicine to drop into her ear.

I also felt like dying last three days! Gosh, lots of things need to clear out from my bedroom but I'm a novice hoarder so still hard to let go of my things, even loose papers but still look manageable which is why I said I'm a novice hoarder, not yet hardcore LOL

Enjoy your extended weekend and extra day off! I have had a rough week. I came home from work on Tuesday evening feeling lightheaded and off balance and woke up Wednesday morning, full blown dizziness and nausea. OMG, I felt like I was dying! I still got up and got Ben off to school then fell back to bed and slept off and on all day. I was able to get to the doctor on Thursday and he suggested physical therapy for the vertigo. So got into see a therapist on Friday afternoon and got some good news. I thought this was a condition that I would always have and have to "manage" but the tests they did revealed that I don't have the "loose crystals" in my inner ear that I thought was the problem but instead he said I have Vestibular Neuritis, an inner ear infection. This will subside and with exercises I can get through it in a week or 2. Phew! But for 3 days I couldn't keep any food down and lost a few pounds but now I still feel weak and need to get my strength back so inevitably I will likely gain the weight back. I'm still a bit "off balance" but I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel and may be able to walk the dog tomorrow, maybe later today ...

Cherie

of course they get jealous which is why people thought they are selfish and attention seeker, they get misunderstood a lot, hehe. anyhow, they are back to normal now, no hissing and pre-cat-fight noises.

This week, will have 3-day weekend, from Friday to Sunday. Then work on Monday and back to holiday on Tuesday, yay!

Saturday, we have our state governor's birthday (which I don't think his actual birthday, I dunno why our state choose that date) which lead to Friday off day because our company policy (if holiday falls on Saturday, Friday off, too).

Then Tuesday 16th September, it's Malaysia Day, the date of when Malaya (we call that peninsular area as West Malaysia which consists of 12 states), Sabah and Sarawak (Sabah & Sarawak are two states at east side of Malaysia - which also known as East Malaysia).

Because of South China Sea that separates West and East Malaysia, we can always say we go oversea when we cross over the sea, hehe.

Do cats get jealous? I thought they were just selfish and demanded the attention that they want? hehe

Yeah, maybe because I gave Kate the cat extra cuddle that the other cats were green with envy LOL

Good news! My cat's back last night, extra cuddly :D Bad news, other cats didn't like her around (and they are still grumpy and fierce towards her) which is weird coz they always in good term before she went missing. The other cats are older and in same litter while this one, Kate, is younger but still same mother.

My theory: one of the older cats purposely chase Kate away, probably same thing happened to Jill, Kate's litter mate, maybe because Kate rejected the older cat's approach to date and mate, hehe. Hopefully, everything will go back to normal.

Oh, what a cat-scandal!

There's only one thing I hate when I start again workout plan. I always feel feverish, maybe a psychology effect, I guess that's normal, haha.

Yesterday, I was ready to track chasing cats as my non-exercise cardio - when it's time for them to get back into their cage, they will run away from me. But they just sat docilely, ready to get carried back. Oh well, maybe today I can chase them :D
