My thoughts on Ecclesiastes 7:
Verse 8- Be patient, not proud
9- Fools are quick to anger
10- Do not long for the good ole' days!
16-Don't think you know everything
17-Don't be mean or stupid.
18- Remember these things because God will see you through them all if you fear Him.
19-Wisdom makes us stronger.
21-22- Don't take what other people say so serious, you know that you also have said some bad things about others.
Lastly,
29- We have turned from God and righteousness to our toys and follie!

Hi all – well, it looks like I’ll be off of Spark for a while again. I started a college course last week and that was busier then I thought to get going so I didn’t get out here at all but had best intentions of resuming this week. But my DH developed a rampant infection and is back in the hospital with no end in sight at this point. The docs are aggressively fighting for him and have told us that they’re 96+ % successful with these types of infections following kidney transplants. So, I’ll not be sparking for a while – just no time and my heart is elsewhere… I enjoyed the team challenges and hope to be back someday – but that might be a week or a month or a few months…

I loved the challege...fisrt of all the collage challenge pushed me to get going on something I have put off for way too long. I'm also lloking forward to the strength training because I've really been slacking in this department lately. I think it's because my schedule has been so full that if I have to let something go, that's what I let go. It's not going to happen today, but I'm going to push really hard to try to make it happen the rest of the week!

I'm not doing very well...a little caught up in life at the moment...but I won't let it beat me!

The Mini Challenge for Wed 6/9 thru Fri 6/11 is as follows:
Strive to:
1. reach your water goal of 8 cups emoticon
2. your sleep goal of 7 hours emoticon
3. stay within your sodium range emoticon
4. stay within your calorie range. emoticon

For each task you complete give yourself 5 LIVE IT points.
If you reach all (4) of the goals give yourself a 25 point bonus!
That's a 5 point bonus for getting all 4 things accomplished!
Example: only made my water= 5 points
made water and sodium= 10 points
made water, sodium and calories= 15 points
made water, sodium, calories and sleep = 25 points

OK? sorry for the confusion ladies! emoticon


PLUS there was an Extra bonus challenge!

If you can do one 10 min. workout emoticon video each day give yourself an additional 25 points!!!!
Be sure to post which one you did on that day. AND get your Sparkpoints and add it to your Fitness tracker too!

Sometimes when we do things, we are not sure why at first, and we might even question ourselves, but God always reveals to us later, that HE was in charge ALL along!
For those of us who will take the time to take on this challenge, even though it does not appear to be "on the mark" will find that it is OH SO VERY "on the mark" after all!
We can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us!
So what ever the issues, IE;"I'm a failure at everything so why even try" we have keeping us from achieving our goals, and our hearts desires, we will find that God has the answer! IE;"She couldn't figure out why I was suddenly so happy" We just need to reach out to Him, search His Word, and He will reveal them to us, through His Word! AMEN!

Thank you so much for this challenge. I'm usually not up for challenges because I'm still in that "I'm a failure at everything so why even try" mode. But who can refuse a challenge where reading the bible is involved? LOL I LOVE this challenge. I got in it a couple days late, but actually had a couple hours to myself in my own home last night so used that opportunity to catch up... I was shining when my daughter got home. She couldn't figure out why I was suddenly so happy, lol. Plus, I have been wanting to do the Vision Collage for quite some time. I already have a few magazines cut up but want to do some more. THIS has really motivated me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!

Such a good idea Wildflower! I can't remember where I got it from, but I have downloaded the entire King James Bible in mp3 format from the internet about 3 years ago. Now, whenever I workout, I find it more motivational to listen to the Bible than to workout songs - and hearing it actually seems to stick better for me. Like Romans 10:17 says "...faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ."

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. - Philippians 4:13

If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ." Does it bother anyone else how conceited Paul comes across at times? I know he is a servant of God but he really does like to toot his own horn, ain't so?
17 Ecclesiastes 7 - whew! that was a deep one. Read it in the Message and it was a mite clearer. I liked vs.14 "On a good day, enjoy yourself;
On a bad day, examine your conscience.
God arranges for both kinds of days
So that we won't take anything for granted."
I also like vs 29, God made us good, we're the ones who messed it up. How many times do we say "That's just the way I was made?" What a lie! We were MADE perfect and born into a sin-filled world. 5

(TODAY) For DAY 1 of this challenge I would like you to do some brain-storming! Some of us already have a list of goals, dreams, and aspirations, some of us do not. Get a piece of paper (a word document will do as well) and start jotting them all down. When your list is done, and I mean a good size list of things, give yourself 5 points for today’s challenge.
*For each day that passes and you do not have your list ready, take a point away. So, say you have your list ready by Friday (June 4), give yourself 2 points. If it is not ready until Monday (June 7), you are at negative 1 point!

PART TWO

Bonus Challenge for week one:

As we all know, or should know if we don’t, the mantra of this team is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” and on that note, our Bonus Challenges for this month are going to involve ways to strengthen ourselves through God’s Word!
Being in the presence of God is what every Christian wants, but somehow few learn how to do it consistently. Occasionally we stumble into him, and we are delighted, but we don't know how to get back. The more time we spend in the scriptures the better we will be tuned to God's voice. The scriptures are like a tuning fork; if we are on that same frequency, we will hear God's voice clearly. Without immersing ourselves in God's word, we run the grave risk of being misled by the darkness and going astray from God's truth. So I think that this is a very important Goal for all of us to incorperate into our daily lives!

For week one; every day I will Post Scripture for us to read. I would like you to pray first for God to give you the Knowledge and Understanding you need to receive what He wants you to receive from these verses. Read the scriptures, and them make a note of what God lays on your heart in your journal, then if you would like to share, you can also post your thoughts, when posting your points earned, for us to all share together!
Completing this scripture reading and note taking daily will earn you 5 points for each day it is completed!
Don’t forget if you spend a minimum of 30 minutes studying you can also check this goal off under our team goals, on your “other” spark point’s page as well for today. "Spend quiet time with God, in His presence, in His Word, 30 minutes or more, 1 time per day" goal.

Today's (Tuesday June 1) scriptures are; John 14-18.
