I just had a full weekend. Filled with all the drinks, and foods that are on my "thou shall not eat" list. I just did it. Had a ton of fun! And really feel ready to get back on track. I think I needed just that little breather, time to just enjoy life with friends and family. I'm good now! How is everybody else doing?

Update: our tablet is failing; so won't be able to participate,
as I won't have a gadget to utilize. Keep Sparking!

Hope to participate in the future; sometime in 2020,
while taking care of my health & getting fit in the

Heart doctor finally released me to fo exercise after 6 months. Sunday i asked the church to pray for a favorable outcome without surgery. They laid hands on me. When the doctor did the ultrasound he was amazed. He said there is no damage but the ultrasound from last month showed that the heart was deteriorating. I told him ain't God grand and the power of prayer.

I haven't been as active as I should. I have been dealing with heart related issues since February. I have had two stress tests and found out that the top of the heart is deteriorating. So in four weeks I go in for a heart Cath to see what the damage is.

I have been told no exercise except for walking 5 minutes a day.

Since last August I have lost 54 pounds while working out with a trainer twice a week.

But now I fear that I might gain some of that back.

I hope whoever reads this has an awesome week.

Well another month has gone by I managed to maintain my weight while visiting my daughter in Virginia I was proud of myself for that but when I return home I got sick in the car on the way and I feel like Doodoo so I can’t do much exercising struggle is real people!!!

I finally took the plunge and bought the supplement I've been wanting to try. I'm on day two. Day one was good, I had more energy than usual especially for a day when I only had 2.5 hours of sleep. I still laid down to take a nap, though I really didn't need to, I had plenty of energy, but my brain went, "we always lay down at this time! We must lay down or else!" So I did. I've got to push through that today. Or set an alarm for like 10 minutes and just curl up on my bean bag so that my body/brain think I've laid down for a bit. I'm so glad I decided to give this product a try, now to see how the "8 week experience" goes. I'm giving it a month, if I still like it I'll do the full 8 weeks, 56 days.

I have not been working out, and I finally did today, man am I back out of shape again! But I'm going to keep going and stick to it. I've got energy now thanks to the supplement, and I'm going to use it! I finally don't have a migraine, and working out (at a low level) didn't give me one this time so I'm going to keep it up and maybe even work out twice a day, so I can build up my endurance. Depends on how much energy I have in the evening.

Saw the neurologist, he had no bedside manners and I left not really knowing what on earth I was supposed to do or what happened. Confusing man. I'm going back to the doctor and getting a referral to a neurologist at Emory. I have concerns that weren't addressed. Like should I be working out? I got a migraine yesterday from doing so. I'm going to try to work out again today and see if I get different results. I want to make sure of what is causing the migraines before I go back to see the doctor.

I got bento box cookbooks for my birthday and a rice cooker! *squee!* I have made some really good sushi rice and have been having bento boxes every day. I just bought a bunch of Japanese cooking materials and can't wait to try them!

Got a referral for a sleep study and to a neurologist for the migraines. I'm tired but I'm feeling motivated to get off this gravy train and get back on the SP bandwagon! I'm starting tomorrow, well kinda today, but waiting to work out till tomorrow. I am going to have some carrot cake today, so not really on the food yet, but tomorrow, it starts! I'm going to get back to where I was and keep on going!

Well, this month has been full of ups and downs already! From panic attacks, migraines, and meeting my husband's best friend of 15 years for the first time. I'm off to the doctor's today to see what is up with this no sleep and migraines and lack of energy (probably from the lack of sleep!). I've still got migraine #2 and am hoping it lessens through the day, I don't want to drive while blurry eyed again! that was crazy!

Carmen, hope you get the sleep you need!

As I'm writing this at 3 AM, I know I'm not going to. I tried everything I could to get some sleep yesterday, but insomnia is a persistent thing. Part of mine is anxiety too. So I figure I'll catch up on some SP and then clean the kitchen and that should wear me out enough to get at least a little sleep before time to get up for the day.... I hope!

I am trying to go to bed as late and as tired as I can so I can sleep soundly, but getting up after 9:00 am and scares me the day is not going to be long enough to get all the stuff I want, done. But working on it. I love this team deeply, is my favorite one.

Nope on the sleep, got up at one for a few hours and then got up wide awake at 4 knowing there was no way I could go back to sleep. I tried, but it didn't work. I need sleep!

Finally got some sleep! Came home from an appointment and chores yesterday and about collapsed from exhaustion! I went to bed and slept, would wake up long enough to drink a big glass of water (I'm really dehydrated) and would go pass out again! Feeling better this morning, no quite refreshed, but better than yesterday morning for sure!

Hope you are still around!

DH and I celebrated our 11th anniversary yesterday! Love him so much! Had a great day just relaxing at the house, eating way too much Chinese food and playing games. We also rearranged the living room. The entertainment area upstairs got moved to the living room. Well, not all of it, we are keeping it to a minimum, all the DVD's that we really don't need any more are going into storage. We'll be using Amazon and Netflix for shows, so don't need all that bulky DVD collection we have. Love the way it looks, and I got to keep my treadmill in the living room, so super happy!

Sorry I've been gone for so long. Check out my blog if you want details. I'll just say I was in the hospital for 8 days and am now having to readjust to real life. It feels kinda surreal.

I'm going to start slowly working out again tomorrow. My goal is for 15 minutes. If I get more than that great, if I don't, then that is what I can do. I'm not going to join the March fitness minutes because I don't want to make a huge goal I probably won't reach. I want to go week by week till I'm back in the full swing of things, know what I mean? I just don't want to overload myself or set unattainable goals.

I'm not doing so well with my PTSD and it is making other area's of my life difficult too. I've started a GoFundMe (for a service dog) account and trying to, on most all social media be open and honest about my disabilities and what is going on. It's hard because a lot of people don't believe in PTSD or mental illnesses or they believe the hollywood version of it.

So today I go to decide if I should be hospitalized or not; to talk with my therapist and psych doc. I'm sorry if I've been too honest, some people would just rather not know, but I'm finding that being honest is the best way so I don't have to constantly hide a part of myself.

Hope you are doing well. and if you don't hear from me for a week, know that I'm working on me.

Well, I goofed! I am an emotional eater and have been really emotional/overwhelmed of late (starting whole new curriculum with the kids, trying to figure out what we will be doing!) and I had a bowl of sugary cereal. A big bowl. I thought one bowl wouldn't hurt. And then I felt awful, I mean terrible. Just off and exhausted. My blood sugar was almost 200! That's not go-to-the-hospital worthy, but I've been in normal ranges for months now not eating sweets and then I goof and get the reminder, hey you still have diabetes and must watch out!

So today while the kids had cherry pie I had vanilla greek yogurt. I need to stock up on those. Yes it has some sugar, but nowhere near as much as that cherry pie! Which I want, oh so badly. But I had my yogurt and green beans with hummus, and I'm good.

I had planned on working out this morning, but my body is still bouncing back from my blood sugar being so high (it was 123 this morning) and my neck was stiff and sore, like it was swollen, this morning. I should be good to work out tomorrow though!

still stuffy and not feeling good. Upping the amount of mucinex I'm taking to the max amount, doc had me on the minimum amount. I'm getting better, but I cannot work out like this and feel like I need a nap!!

Managing to not take a nap tonight but will be going to bed early!

Hope you have a good time in Virginia!

Still sick. Went to the doctor, I have fluid in my ears as well as an ear infection and sinus infection. No working out for a few more days at the very least. Makes me feel behind. Though I know, there is no behind, there is where you are at.

Well I've been backsliding again. It's been dasy since I actually tracked my food. And no exercise not even my 21 day push-up challenge.

Well, I've come down sick too. emoticon Started with vertigo, and then an ear ache and moved to my sinus and throat. I'm probably going to go to the doctor tomorrow, unless the vertigo keeps up. Then I'll have to wait till Tuesday when DH can drive me. The funny thing about the vertigo is when I get it, I tend to go toward the left, so I bump or crash into things on my left side. Would not do to drive like that though.

This is the third time I've been sick this year, and the first month isn't over yet! Guess it is going to be one of those years that I catch everything. Hopefully not!

Thank you, and I will do that, I don't know why I didn't think of that before!

Hoping that tomorrow can be my stay at home day. I've been out places and running errands every day this week, some days all day, and I'm so tired and just want to stay home. Was hoping that would be today, but have to go to the ATM and the UPS store. DH was supposed to go yesterday, but got behind someone at the ATM that didn't know what they were doing, got frustrated from waiting so long and just came home. Can't blame him, he waited a while.

Tomorrow I do have a acquaintance (I would like her to be a friend) coming over to do a painting class for the kiddos. They picked out a simple owl on a tree branch for their first one. We used to go to this quaint little family run shop, but they closed. I need new art for my walls! Was planning on trying to do it myself, but then she told me she does classes, so I was like, YES! She's a bit expensive, but not overly so. I'll probably help my friend pay for her kids to come join us one time that she comes over, if she has enough easels for 5 kids (and I have enough room! (my friend is in ministry, has 3 kids, and could not afford the full price).

It's incredible. I'm so used to hearing bad news from doctors, I'm just, wow. to finally be getting good news it awesome.

So sorry you caught the flu! Hope you are feeling better soon!, Don't overdo it!

Oldest DD has the sniffles and sore throat and all that jazz, so I'm worried she may be catching a cold/flu. No fun. Me and her sister are taking lots of vitamin C and washing hands a lot to try to not catch it!

congratulations on all the positives you been doing for yourself by eating right and exercising. I've seen it done on the biggest loser. People going from several pills/shots a day to control their diabetes and blood pressure to zero pills within a matter of months jjust buy diet and exercise alone.
Unfortunately I ended up catching the flu so I have been kind of absent on here the last few days I feel little bit better today. Hubble and I took the dogs for a 1 mile walk but it drained me so now I'm back in bed

Oh no, I hope your hubby and son get feeling better and that you don't catch it!

Sorry I'm late responding, things have been so busy!

I had my F/U with the weight loss clinic and my doctor (same morning too!) and the dietitian. I'm changing my food program to incorporate more foods, but being healthy about it. I did have a latte this morning, but I figure, everything in moderation, and I've not been sleeping so I needed the boost of the extra shot of espresso for my busy day!!

I'm getting off my blood pressure meds! I had forgotten to take it that morning and my blood pressure was perfectly normal. AND my A1C (test for diabetics to see how your blood sugar level is doing) was better than your average person who does not have diabetes!! emoticon I'm amazed what eating right and working out can do. I've been on blood pressure meds for at least 4-5 years, to get off of them completely? Wow. And to basically be as if I didn't have diabetes... I still have it, but it is completely controlled by diet and exercise. Just wow. I'm in awe at how well I'm doing, even though I didn't stick strictly to my program this last month. I still managed to lose 5 pounds this week. I don't know how I pulled that one off!

I'm doing so much better than I thought I was, and the doctor was completely on board with my suggestions (changing my program to incorporate more food, less shakes and changing a med). Plus she was so supportive! I love this clinic I go to! I've lost a total of 51 pounds emoticon I have 79 to go!!

It's back to work for me tonight. Somehow I managed to sleep until 11:10 this morning! I was contemplating swimming before work but now that it's so late I don't have time.
With both my husband and my son sick with the flu I've been sleeping in the spare room and it has room darkening curtains. I guess between that and the combination of just being exhausted is why slept so late. Ah,Yes! I also took something to help relax me and help me sleep because of the pains I've been having in my life after working!
Well next time I'll have to at least open the curtains a crack that way there I'll know it's daytime ! Lol.

My sodium is low, so no need to worry about the sodium content.

My stomach is a mess this morning, so no work out, will work out around lunch, if I'm feeling better.

Tonight is date night, going to spend the evening curled up on the couch with DH watching a movie

Pickles are a great snack I think the only thing is they might have a lot of sodium very little calories Not so sure about the sweet Gerkins though

Today has been full of ups and downs, but overall has been great! I worked out 61 minutes, started a new math and social studies program for both kids (grades 3 and 5) and am working on getting on track for homeschool. I've done good food wise so far today, my only off food was a couple of pickle slices, and I think that is okay. I'm hoping the rest of today will be good and go smooth.

Thank you! Prayers work wonders as not only am I feeling better, but I'm on track again! I went to co-op for the kids and have not been in two months and got compliments on how much weight I've lost. Things like that give more motivation. Not the best place to get my motivation, but it reminded me why I'm doing this, not for the compliments, but for being healthier, because I motivated some of them to start eating healthier and losing weight too. So it motivated me to get back up and get back on program

Not doing well today. I have an... injury.... that keeps acting up and today was a bad day for it. Really frustrating because it was doing so well, and now it's not. It's like starting the healing process all over again. But, I'd rather heal the natural way than have the surgery, which can have some nasty side effects.

750 miles, go you! That is a lofty goal! But you're right, if we just put in the effort, we can do this!

That's the way to challenge yourself!
I was doing just running and walking but, since my injury last year I'm going to include swimming and biking but I'm doing 750 miles this year. So it will still be challenging, but we can do this!

That mattress sounds divine!

Adding up how many miles I'll have to go per week to reach 500 miles, if I'm only counting my time on the treadmill and walking the track at the park or around the neighborhood, not my total miles in a day (according to my Fitbit) I'm going to have to pick up the pace and get more miles in per week! Will be easier once we start doing hikes on the weekend when the weather warms up, I think.

I'm doing Flylady (flylady.net) to get organized, the house clean and decluttered, and habits in place. Morning routines are hardest, I just want to sit and drink coffee, not get off my duff and actually do things, lol.

I had a bad day yesterday too, but determined to stick to it today, have a plan in place and will follow it.

That is all I can think of right now. There are a ton of them, I have to Google or ask a lot. Especially SMH, too me forever to remember what that meant!

Went to a really nice restaurant called the Noble Finn last night, they think a lot of their food! It was very good, DH, BIL (Brother in law) and SIL (Sister in Law) split the bill, still very pricey, but it was a nice experience for the kids to have.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Remember to start slow, if you jump in and go hog wild with it, you'd wear yourself out. Baby steps!

Something I have to remind myself of constantly! I am training for a hike in September, two actually, overnighters of about 15 miles each. I know, BIL says they could be done in a day, but I think overnight would be so much fun! My BFF in TN is also training to go with me on one, and DH is training to go with me on the other one!! I keep wanting to walk 3-5 miles NOW instead of working my way up. So I walked 3 miles the other day and now I'm wore out and barely walking a mile. Baby steps and not overdoing it!

Yesterday was my first full day attempting to track and stay focused.
I did not weigh and measure like I was supposed to and I still snacked at work and ate when I got home. Including trail mix in bed. :(
Since I had to work I was on able to go to the Y in the evening so no exercise was attempted for the entire day.
I feel like I didn't do as bad as I could have so I guess it wasn't a total failure.

DD got spoiled rotten yesterday by DH. I think he bought her some things he wished he'd had (sports stuff, but she was so happy to get all the attention from him, that she was thrilled with everything! Especially the bow she got (she's been interested in archery a lot here recently). Today was my turn to spoil her, I took her to Joann's and bought each of my girls a My Generation Girl (Knockoff American Girls Doll) and a pattern to make new clothes for the doll. We went to Starbucks and just had a good ol' time in general.

I'm back at it full swing, I just had some health issues where I was down a lot or at the clinic a lot. Glad to be feeling better!!

Time sure flies! We are getting ready for oldest DD's birthday next week emoticon
She turns the big 10, I can't believe it! She's almost as tall as I am and can wear a pair of my sandals (and has asked numerous times if she could 'borrow' them, lol).

I'm trying to get back into working out like I was, some days I wake up early no problem. Then days like today, I just fall back asleep after my alarm. I'm still going to work out, but it is easier for me to get it done super early in the morning!

Beautiful weather here in GA, the temp has come down due to rain, which is lovely, but the grass has grown a crazy amount and my lawnmower is broke. Our lawn guy said he would come out as soon as possible, but I just know the HOA is going to not be happy that our lawn looks such a mess.

Been going to the pool most days, kids are getting more comfortable in the water and scaring me to death by going underwater for a long time. Lily especially because she likes to thrash about so half the time it looks like she is drowning. She's gotten to where she will throw a 'thumbs up' in the air every now and then so I know she is okay, lol.

Okay, so juice fast is a no. I'll leave it at that.

Doing emoticon today! Worked out, set up my plan for the week for food. Then made plans for the month for working out. I'm going to do an arms challenge and an abs challenge. Both take very little time and are super easy and require no equipment.

Being super careful and checking my blood sugar every couple of hours. It's a juice fast, so I'm still getting nutrients, just not chewing any food.

Drinking a watermelon, lemon, carrot juice right now and loving it. (It's my 'dessert')

Getting back on the treadmill today and going to try to do every day that I'm on the fast (didn't yesterday emoticon ) I'm starting an abs challenge today and an arms challenge. The only difficult thing about that is both of them have you doing plank. So lots of plank-ing going on! LOL. I'm probably just going to do the plank once because I don't want to over do it.

Be careful with fasts. Sometimes not eating enough will make our bodies go into starvation mode and we gain!
Hope everyone had a good weekend. It sure was a hot one here!! Feeling a bit discouraged that my weight is not coming off, but not giving up!! I went swimming yesterday and kept moving for about 50 minutes. The water was not as warm which is good. The day before it was so warm I felt like I was in the bath tub!
Last year at this time we were getting ready to move into our little house. You can see a picture of it on my page. It was such a long process with all the rules and regulations of the county, but we finally got in and just love it here!!
Going to make a real effort this week to be more aware of what I'm eating and really try to make healthy choices. Seems like my weight comes off at a snails pace where years ago I could drop 5 in no time. Part of the "aging process" I guess. What ever! Make it a great day everyone!

Oh how I agree with you! I wish losing weight was easy like it was in my 20's! Now with all the medications I take it is extremely difficult.

That is one of the reasons I'm going to do a 3 day juice fast, to kickstart my metabolism. I may not be able to do it due to my diabetes (going to keep a really close eye on my blood sugars). I watched the show Fat, Sick, And Nearly Dead, and was really inspired. I mean, it was amazing to watch how he transformed. I know, men lose weight easier than women, so that is why I found a video blog on youtube by a female to watch as she went through the process. I don't know if I'll be able to go to the extremes that they did and do extended fasts, but I'd like to be able to. I know with diabetes it won't be recommended, but it is a wish.

I'm giving up coffee. And people who know me are gasping. I love coffee. But coffee does not like me. I drink it with cream and sugar, and the sugar is not good for me. It sends my blood sugar high, and I can't afford that. So, Thursday I'll be waking up to a nice cup of Skinny Tea (by Teami)

Hope everyone has had a good week. I wish I could report some progress on my weight loss, but it's not happening this week. I didn't do much yesterday and didn't get in my water like I should this week so I'm going to work at it this next week. I know it all makes a difference.
Wish losing weight was easy like it used to be when I was younger. Now with thyroid issues and just being older seems to make it such a battle! Not giving up though!!! Have a great weekend everyone!

Karri, good to hear you are getting the labs done to get the the heart of the problem. Wonder if you have thyroid problems. I remember when I came down with it I could barely walk up the stairs! The blood tests will tell for sure.
Just take exercise in small segments. It all comes out the same. Not fun when you don't feel good.
HOT and humid here again today. Plan on sticking with my pool work outs for the summer. Just too hot and uncomfortable walking in the morning with the horrible humidity. I can burn more calories in the pool too and keep cool at the same time ; )

My appointment with the NP went great, she didn't try to throw medication at me, I'm getting a bunch of labs and tests done to get to the root of the problem. Yay! It all seems to go back to sleep and diabetes. So, sleep study, and meds and working on my eating habits for diabetes.

I'm also getting back to working out, no matter how tired I am. Even if it is just 15 minutes at a really slow pace, I will get some exercise in!

I'm really tired. Bone-weary. Whatever is causing me to be this tired is winning, because I can't function like this. Taking vitamins helps. Green juice helps (though it is expensive to make so can't do it right now). Staying away from sugar helps. I'm going to have to stop coffee, and that is sad because I love coffee. And I have drank my coffee the same way for over 20 years. It's the reason I get up in the morning. But I can't have all the sugar I put in it. So I'm switching to tea. It's going to be hard, to say the least.

We had a slightly hectic 4th of July as one of the fireworks malfunctions and for a few seconds it was like world war three in our backyard. No one and nothing was hurt, just a little scared. I told DH next year we go see fireworks, not set off our own!

I don't remember if I shared this but I discovered the Spoon Theory, which is a unit for measuring energy for those with disability or mental illness. This last week has been rough as I have had no spoons/energy. Saying I have no spoons is just a way to put a little laughter into the fact that I have no energy and don't know what is going on. So DH got me this, so I will never run out of spoons again:

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We had a very nice one. Now back to work making sure I get some weight off this month! Concentrating on getting enough water and exercise. I do my walk 6 days a week and get in the pool almost every day. Making sure I either swim or tread water. Have to keep moving ; )

The holiday weekend is here! Back in Maine this would be the official start to summer. It also means all kinds of things to eat. A weight loss killer unless you approach it slowly and decide what you are going to enjoy and what you are going to pass by. Be sure to add a lot of healthy selections to your cookout or picnic. Lots of fresh fruit and veggies you can snack on and leave the strawberry short cake or whatever treat you have for others. Whatever you decide to eat approach it slowly and savor the flavor. I used to tend to shovel the food in like there was no tomorrow not even thinking how empty I was and ended up eating way too much. Have a large glass of water before you eat. That will help cut down on how much to can consume ; )

Breaking up our workouts is what Sparkpeople suggests. Doing an hour of exercise would kill me if I did it all at once. Spark suggests breaking it up in 10 minute sessions and doing them several times a day. It's the same thing. Our bodies don't have stop watches ; ) Just take it slowly and work up. Good luck to you!
Was out for my walk this morning and it was humid already at 6:30! Don't mind the heat, but I hate that slimy feeling ; (
Got to start thinking about my goals for July. Got to step up this weight loss thing. More focus and determination!! Working on getting my water in today. Didn't have enough yesterday. We wasted a couple hours going to that stupid Independence Day movie. Total and complete waste!!! What a horrible movie!!! Well, have a good one!

Awesome attitude and keeping it real SHORTSTORY2. I'm going to start asking myself that. Hard to say, yes when you put it like that.

I've been out of energy the past few days and really struggling. I'm feeling much better today, but am not going to overdo it. That is the bad thing about working out first thing in the morning, I have been known to use up all of my energy in the morning and be exhausted for the rest of the day.

So I'm going to try to split my workouts into two parts, one in the morning one in the evening. So I don't overdo it first thing and end up with no energy for the rest of the day. Today is my first day doing that, I'll let you know how it goes!

How is everyone doing on your weight loss goals? My weight comes off so slowly I'm just taking a break from the scales. Had way too much salt just before I weighed in last so it showed a 3 pound gain which I know is not possible since I was so good!! Celebrating the non scale victories instead. I used to obsess over the scale to the point I would give up. It takes time for the new good habits to kick in and make me strong enough to fight off the snack demons so just taking my journey one doable goal at a time. I do have to get off 10 pounds by November so trying hard!!
I just ask myself now when I go to eat something I shouldn't if I want to end up wearing it. Is it really worth trashing all my hard work?? Hard to say no, but I'm learning. Have a great day!

Feeling really worn out so thought I'd just pop in for a second to update y'all. My toe problem turned out to be gout! The lab work came back and the nurse called me today. So I really have to watch what I eat and the doc put me on something to help get rid of it, but it will elevate my blood sugar, so I really, really have to watch what I eat over the next few days while taking it.

Karri, glad you are taking care of your toe problem. Foot problems and diabetes isn't anything you mess with! Better to be safe than sorry! Let us know how you are doing.
Hot and very humid here today. We have been going to the pool almost daily this week, but taking today off since my husband goes bowling at noon. Getting my house cleaning done this morning and then will have ME time when he is out. Going to read emoticon

That is frustrating, but you are not alone! I had a gain this week too, and I'm convinced it is bloating from eating out. So, no more eating out if I can help it!

Going to the doctor today. I was walking into the kitchen and suddenly had stabbing pain in my toenail. I kicked off my sock and shoe and it was still doing it! Any amount of pressure on my toenail and it feels like a sewing pin is being stabbed under my nail on this one toe. Ow! So DH is insistent I go to the doc today because diabetes and foot problems = not good.

So we are heading out to the pool early so that we can still meet with our friends before I go to see the nurse at 3. My usual nurse doesn't work on Thursday's so I'm bummed, she is an awesome nurse and really pays attention and cares. Knows me by name on sight. I don't know if that is a good thing or bad things. But, being diabetic along with all my other problems I do go to the doctor a lot.

I dragged out the scale this morning expecting to see a loss and only saw a 3 pound gain! I'm not buying that! I went to be last night feeling very bloated so I think it's fluid retention. We ate out twice yesterday and I think it's all the salt since I don't use salt at home. I've been so good all week and have done my walking, water and healthy meals. Just letting it go although I was mad!
Had a very busy day yesterday, but a good one. Going to make today a good one too. Very determined to get this weight off!!

emoticon SHORTSTORY2 for not snacking!

I, unfortunately did snack. and I gained this week (today is weigh in day) I'm so sad, but I the same time I see how I did it to myself. This week my goal is no snacking - I can have an apple and that's it! No other snacks! And stick to my meal plan. I gained this weight in a week, surely I can lose it in a week and get back to where I was one week ago.

The baby birds in the garage seem to be doing okay, I've got DH closing the garage door when he comes to bed so that it is open later for them, and I open it first thing in the morning. I dislike having the garage door open all the time, so I can't wait till the babies grow and leave the nest! Then that nest will be a science experiment for the girls so it's not there for them next year!

Woke up too late to work out this morning, so I'll work out when I get home from my appointments and errands. The church is having a giant waterslide tonight for the kids, so I'll have time to spend a quick dinner with DH. Nice.

I love the picture! Great information and something good to post. Sounds like you have a plan for success!
Had a good weekend and even got to the beach for a few minutes. It was too windy and the sky was screaming rain so we didn't plan on staying. Just got out for a ride and enjoyed sitting under the shelter by the water front.
My head is clearer today so hoping to get caught up with my teams. Just got back from my morning walk. It was cooler this morning with a nice breeze so walking was nice.

So, today I am restarting a habit: measuring and weighing my food. No more eyeballing it, because my eyes are bigger than my stomach most of the time! I bought extra measuring cups, and I've gotten my scale back out. That is the habit I'm going to work on for the next 90 days. I lost the few pounds I've lost by diet alone, so I know that nutrition plays a lot in this weight loss.

I'm getting back into coloring with colored pencils again, It's relaxing and fun. I'm still sewing. Here is what me and the girls worked on yesterday;


We are going to hang them over the whiteboard so they can see them every day. My little perfectionists need to remember that mistakes are how we learn!

Sorry to hear about your technical problems, those companies can be so uncooperative! I agree, I wish I was born in the 1800's, I would have loved it!

I definitely have the sewing bug! I'm loving it! I made a tote last night, finally got it right and was sad I didn't have anything else to work on for the night.

Swim lessons for the girls today, oldest DD did great but youngest (age 8) is having a hard time with putting her face in the water. She doesn't like it one bit. So this week we will be going to the pool every day at 10 and practicing. I'm ordering goggles and kickboards so we can practice what we have learned :)

Sounds like you have a serious case of "sewitis" emoticon That's not a bad thing. I used to enjoy going to the fabric store and looking at all the new fabrics. Get creative with you tote bags. Animal prints are popular with people. Enjoy yourself!! Let the creative juices flow!!
Today is my ME time day. I do have to do a little house cleaning, but that won't take long. I'm looking forward to some quality time in peace and quiet. Yesterday and today was all about my stupid cell phone! Somehow I got all mixed up and forgot about air time needing to be added and my phone got disconnected! I'm so non technical I had to let my husband deal with it which he did Thank God! I can't hear well and the tech people all have foreign accents which I can't understand due to my hearing loss. It was so frustrating because the had my first name wrong which messed up my debit card going through for the payment. It all got me in such a mental stir I was ready to fly! Then today it was trying to add my e-mail address to my phone. They had the wrong one which took a lot of digging to get that all taken care of! I should have been born in the 1800's! Hate technology sometimes!!!
Going to enjoy my day today. No e-mail, no phones---just peace and quiet!!! Enjoy you day!

Still stuck on sewing, sorry if I go on about it too much, but it is what is on my brain. I looked up sewing humor last night. Apparently becoming a 'sewist' means I'm going to start hoarding fabric, lol. But it was sew funny!


I'm having a hard time getting back in the routine of walking, mainly because I don't have anything to watch and that was what had me on the treadmill for hours, I could watch something and just walk and walk. I tried watching sermons... I haven't found any that have kept my attention for that long. I must be looking at the wrong ones! I was watching Extreme Weight loss, but I'm done with that, and need another show, any ideas?

emoticon Thanks so much! I'm getting less discouraged, and more in the mood to fight for it! emoticon

I didn't realize sewing would be this wonderful when I started. It not only keeps me from thinking about food, it makes my mood better. I was really tired and getting grumpy and depressed last night, so I made myself get out the fabric and get to working on a tote for me and a tote for DD to make... and my mood went up from there, even though the machine was not in the mood to sew. I named the sewing machine 'Bessie', but I think I'll change it to 'Judy'; because she is a 'moody Judy' (not making fun of anyone whose name is Judy, just making fun of my machine). It's very temperamental and if it is not in the mood to sew, you are just out of luck.

In other news, I've actually been sleeping well the past few nights! that is ah-mazing. Yay for sleep! I have been waking up on my own before the alarm goes off, it's been super nice to wake up refreshed for once!

Last week for weigh in day I was at the doc's office so I just weighed there and... the pound I've been trying to lose for the last few months was gone! Yay! Then today I weighed and one more pound was gone!! I'm finally starting to lose weight! emoticon I'm so happy!
