Found hidden sugar in last night's chicken (yes, I'm kicking myself for forgetting to take dinner out of the freezer at a reasonable time!) and gained 1lb... it must have been salty too, though I didn't taste it. Oh well!

I'm down to 148.2 . This has been a really slow process but I'm liking what I'm eating so it hasn't been difficult to stay on. I'm hoping that means it will stay off for good this time.

I'm down another 2lbs since yesterday morning. That's a 3.8 loss for the weekend, and 5.x somethin since I restarted last week.

My poor father. My mom and I have been on so many diets over the years, and he has always done all he can to support us.

Sunday's are my dad's day to cook. It's been that way since the day he and my mom got married. Since I live in the same town, I'm expected to be there every Sunday after church.

Last night my dad tried so hard to make what I can have, he just got it a bit confused. He made chicken satay (yes, with peanut butter), broccoli salad in a mayonnaise dressing (yes, with cheese), and fresh kale with bacon bits, cooked in the bacon fat. Not a THING I can really have. He got the no potato, no bread part right, but um.....

MAD love and success in the effort department, fail in the accomplishment area. I didn't have the heart to tell him since he tried so hard.

Wow! That's awesome GEEKYGAMERGAL!! It gives me motivation! I know the weight loss will slow down now that I'm on Cruise but I've lost 9lbs since Oct 27th (when I started Attack)!!

Down 1.8lbs from yesterday. Today is a PV day, so I don't expect the same drop tomorrow. I am SO glad today is a PV day! I was feeling kinda desperate yesterday, so I will definitely be loading up on veggies today. I got some beautiful yellow peppers to throw in my eggs with some spinach. I have pumpkin to add to my galette, and.... well, I don't know what lunch will be, maybe yogurt. My dad is cooking dinner tonight, so it'll be dicey there. He usually does pretty good for me though.

About the same. Since school started, I have been off the plan - I changed jobs this year. I was a computer teacher and now am a literacy coach. I love my job, it was a requested change, and the busy life as a result has been a whirlwind. I knew this was coming, but experiencing it is another story to say the least. So, I haven't gained or lost so that is good.

Why did this maintenance plan work? I have been mostly eating healthy but probably not enough. I figure if I can cheat and not gain weight, I am probably not eating well enough of the good things.

Plan for week: Get back on Dukan - I need to find my book and re-read the chapter I am on. Add exercise back in. (Oh yeah, that went on the wayside, too!) emoticon

I'm actually down .4lbs since yesterday! How cool was that? It dawned on me after I posted yesterday that I really haven't been drinking as much as I should be... So I really stepped it up yesterday. I could seriously feel like I was flushing junk out! and boy oh boy did it work!! The house smells awesome right now, I've got a pot of soup going on one burner (beef with beer lol) and a pot with some spices in it to just put some moisture in the air (cinnamon and cloves) so the house smells like Christmas! It's all good though! Hugs, Ruth

I lost another pound. 3 days and 2 pounds, it sounds very good to me. I even did some exercising last night in front of the TV, but exercise is exercise. I'm ready to do more today. Relax, walk, exercise. emoticon

Well, I've been stuck at 271.2 for the past week... and I'm actually pretty happy about it. I've been pretty awful all week. I go back to the Doctor Monday, and HOPEFULLY will get the OK again to go back on my Dukan. Although this does mark a huge first for me... usually when I start a course of steroids I gain a ton of weight (somewhere between 5 and 7lbs over 2 weeks seems to be my average), this time around I've only gained about 2. Dukan gets all the credit! I've tried to stick to my Dukan snacks and stuff in the hopes that I won't go crazy nuts with the weight gain again! I think this works!

A small gain is fully expected when starting Cruise because of the extra water in vegetables. Give your body a chance to get used to eating veggies again. You can increase your water intake if you like. This will balance out. :)

I am in the Cruise Phase....gained a pound over the past week. Frustrated. So I have been limiting veggies and doing PP for the last few days...but still this pound. Maybe add to the water intake. ???? Ideas?

Was down to 177.4 on Saturday. I have decided I am going to try to record my weights on Saturdays instead of everyday.

Yesterday was not a good day for me. I was very hungry and craving food. I ended up taking my daughter out to dinner. I did have steak and green beans, but indulged in some french bread :( Oh well. I picked myself up and dusted off the crumbs and was back on track today. My biggest problem of late is food boredom....

So i'm thinking my scale MUST be broken (although it's perfectly fine for my husband)...

I'm on Day 4 of Attack and the scale shows me down 7 pounds!! OMG! I'm sure it's water weight but i'm sooooo excited this is working so quickly! It's totally what I needed right now!

I am a resistant dieter as well and Dukan is one of the few diets that worked for me. I read all kinds of diet books now though to understand metabolic resistance and autoimmune conditions,such as the new Atkins. Sounds like you're doing great!

I'm down 2.4 pounds this week..(although I am wondering if my scale is "off" as I usually lose around 1.5) excited to be making progress tho!

Well I FINALLY figured out that I am one of those RESISTANT dieters where my body extracts every bit of calories out of my food (due to the massive amt of diets, pills, /surgeries etc I have had trying to lose wt for the last 50 years) I had surgery a few months ago and could only eat 400 calories a day(my stomach opening had been closing up and had a repair done) and guess what I did not lose any weight! after reading the suggestions of Dr Dukan I am back on Attack for 4 days and I have UPPED my exercise and today (day2 of Attack I am down 1.5 lbs and of course 12 miles of walking in the last 2 days) at least He explains the reasons behind things .I am just a resistant person so have to be aware. and be vigilent.

Hubby's not the most motivating person in the world but he's a sweetie and sometimes knows the right thing to say...I think I'll keep him. :)

Honestly, the idea of moving to Conso was really scary for me. Could I maintain my weight while adding new foods? Will the addition of those new foods prompt me to fall back to old eating habits? I'll admit, there have been a couple of times I've felt like dipping into the Halloween candy that's ready for the kids come Monday night. But a quick mental image of what I used to look like at my heaviest scares me more. I don't want to be her every again and I know that "she's" there ready to take over if I fall off the wagon.

I know how comfortable Cruise is but trust me, the switch over isn't as bad as you might think. And Dawn, you are so close to your TW. Don't be afraid...it's just another part of your journey to a healthier you. :)

Sue, it's so nice to hear reports from you on the Conso phase...because while I'm so focused on the Cruise phase, I'm also secretly afraid of getting to the next phase and putting weight back on. It makes it so much more "real" to hear it from someone who has been there. Plus the little comments from your hubby help too! I'm a firm believer in only weighing once a week. However, since I started Conso on the 3rd, I've added a day. I couldn't believe when I looked at the scales this morning and saw a 2 pound loss since Monday. I stepped off, thinking "Nah, that can't be right". Got back on and sure enough, those numbers said 138.8. :)

I should be eating 2 pieces of whole grain bread daily (except PP Thursdays, of course), but have only managed to have 1/day instead. I'll add the second this Monday but gawd knows where I'm going to fit it in! Every time my husband looks at me, he says it seems like I've got a piece of ham/chicken/beef/boiled egg in my mouth. He's never seen me eat so much.LOL

Have I mentioned lately how much I love this plan?!

well I am up a half pound for the last couple days(same half pound not two half pounds not too worried about it just fluid , I fluxuate like that. today is a pp day and i am enjoying it picked up some FF cottage cheese for a treat. . I love seeing all the positive hard working people here and the results they /we are getting woo hoo!

Morning Dukanites!
Checking in here is always fun and as always the positive thinking and hard work keep the scales moving to smaller numbers. I'm still around true-weight and after a few weeks of testing my limits I'm glad to say that I have regained control of my portion control. For me, the PP-Thursday ( or any designated PP-day) is a crucial part of the maintaining part of the book. Reminds me of all the PP and Attack phase days to get to true weight and jolts the body back to weight loss mode. I have also learned that sugar and I don't go together and even though I can have anything for celebration meals- I need to stay away from it. Same with white flour.
It's worth it! I keep thinking: "I rather be thin, than eat that....." when tempted.

Hi all!

Back down to 178.6, whew! Thrilled, since saturday I went t a church dinner function and there was not much to choose from. But...instead of going hog wild, I took a tiny bit of everything and enjoyed it without too much guilt. Got right back on track yesterday!

Several months ago, I would of just completely let go, but thanks to the structure of Dukan, I was able to control myself and of course I didn't want to ruin the hard work!

Looks like everyone is doing great!!

Three weeks on Conso and I'm pleased to say I'm staying within my TW. Weigh in this morning was 140.8. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that. Not because I cheated but rather worried that my scale was broken and couldn't go below 141.LOL

That's exactly how I've been feeling - but back flips were never my thing...cartwheels were!! Either way, if I did a cartwheel, I'd still have bigger problems afterwards! :) It's so fun to watch everyone reach their goals and see so many people actually lose weight! I've never been so successful before and I'm certainly enjoying the journey! Contrats and keep up the good work everyone!!

Oh My Gosh I a down another pound and half 160.5 i better get my back flipping clothes on cause I think I will be using them soon. remember I said I did get to my lowest weight of 159 for a day the lowest wt in 40 + yrs and then the back flip comes when i get bellow that well that is only 20 ounces away. I think my knees are getting wobbly , I might faint...I think I a really am going to do this (not the back flip , lets get serious folks!LOL) but get below 159... tomorrow is pv day. not counting my chickens before they hatch ......

Down another 1/2 pound today - once I finally figured out that the diet was designed to have PP/PV days and when I keep them as PP/PV days, the weight continues to come off! No more sneaking veggies at every supper meal! (Who would have thought a few veggies could stop the weight loss?) I'm so glad that I'm back on track.

I am down another pound and doing well on the 'cruise phase today it is PPV day . and am doing ok this was my month to really push for getting some weight off and using the DUKAN it has been working started out at 168 and 162 today still about 7 pounds from my 'true ''weight when I get to less than 159(lowest weight in 45 years i will do a back flip!!! my life time highest was around 280) this is the easiest diet i have ever done.I love it !
