I think NayNay is close - I think it's because the water goes straight to the back of your mouth and you hardly realize you're drinking it.... I prefer mine from my glass bottle :) Now THAT has a good taste :)

I do not likes straws because they cause wrinkles! :)

My scientific guess (!!) would be a straw directs a stream lined volume created by the suction that is more preferred than the wide-area sipping that allows more air in?! Am I close?!

I like straws to but they are banned from the house for "environmental reasons!!"

I don't know what would matter using a straw or drinking it out of a glass. If anyone finds out, let me know.

I prefer to drink water straight from a bottle because I don't really like plain water and I can drink it more quickly from the bottle. Different strokes for different folks, I guess....

I drink mine from a refillable bottle with a built in straw. I just sip on it all day long. It's become such a habit. It shocks me how much water I am actually consumming each day just by sipping away on the straw.

I drink mine from a fancy glass--I bought it just for my water. So beats me, is it more fun to you?

Hmm...this sounds like something the water companies should fund a study on...or maybe a company that makes straws...it really is interesting to see that some people find it easier to drink more with a straw than without!

I think it's because it controls the water amount each time you drink.

Or because it reminds you of a bottle you used to drink from long ago.

I don't know ... I drink mine straight from my pretty purple Sigg water bottle. BUT, if you like a straw, Kroger runs them 10 boxes for $10.00 every once in a while. Stock up!!!

The only way I get enough water is to use a big glass (18 oz) and straws. I've taken over DH's slurpee straws lol

No clue! But I love straws, especially the bendy ones - they make me smile. My husband laughs at me b/c I am always getting a big diet fountain drink from the gas station when we take a road trip.
