Not much has been happening. The grocery delivery on Friday was a disaster, so yesterday I went to the store myself. It felt so good just to be doing something for myself! I didn't stay long, just quickly in and out, but I did pick up a few things the store personnel just can't seem to get right. Mostly my Fiber One 70 calorie snacks. I love those things (even though they are probably packed with artificial food!), and they sent me the wrong ones last week. So now I have the flavor I love.

The store was not at all busy, and shelves were pretty bare in some places. However, they had what I wanted, so I'm content. I had forgotten to order dog food for my babies, so I did pick that up. I'm sure if they knew, they would be very happy with me. As it was, they went crazy when I got home. They are too used to me not going out.

I had meant to go to the post office on Thursday, since I had planned to go the dump, but neither happened. I will have to do both tomorrow (Monday). I believe the white sewing thread, and zippers, I had ordered is in, so I can finish up the slacks I was working on. I'm looking forward to getting that done.

I did get some work done on the jigsaw puzzled I've been working on. I have finished the planets that are on it, and all I have left are the black pieces - and it is one of those puzzles that has only two different shapes - the sides and the inside. But it is getting there, so that's the main thing.

Other than that, not much is happening. Just a lazy time for me, and I suspect many others who are retired.

VESPAGIRL1027. You will get through it. I know, I've been there. I didn't have a full time job, but I did have a sick child to care for, and a sick husband. Try moving around when the stress really builds up. We are all thinking of you during the next month.

I have a mid-term exam this week for my nurse practitioner program and I am STRESSED! I have scored fairly during my weekly quizzes - but it's been a struggle. This class is the toughest one yet!

June is going to be a BUSY month - and I'm just worried about holding it all together (a full time job, full time school with clinicals, and keeping a relationship). Plus in June I am a bridesmaid in a wedding and my brother is coming to visit! AHHH! I got this - I can do this!

Just ... keep ... swimming.

It has been too hot to do much of anything for the last few days. We seldom get really hot weather here, that it is not worth it to have central heat, so we make do with window units, but they are really not enough. So I will just suffer through, doing as little as I can get away with. I know I can't sew, since my hands sweat, so I will just play on the computer, and maybe do some on the jigsaw.

My eating seems to be doing better. I may have cheated a bit last night, but not much. I'm trying very hard to control it, but this weather and the noise from the a/c is not helping much. I hate having a loud consistent noise going on all day, that's when the claustrophobia kicks in. I'm also trying to get used to wearing a face mask - again, I have to train myself because of the claustrophobia. I can go all year and not have a problem, then Covid 19 and the heat hits, and I'm fighting it all day, every day. Oh, well. This, too, shall pass. I just have to remember that.

Yesterday was something of a do-nothing day. I had watched Mass at a Catholic church, in Wollongong, NSW Australia - my home town, and discovered a wonderful speaker. I was on cloud nine for most of the day, and just wandered around in a daze. No cross stitch, no sewing, and no jigsaw, but it was a wonderful day, nevertheless.

I hope today is more productive.

I wear house dresses all the time. Just lightweight simple lines, with no waist, and at least two pockets. They are great - especially when it is hot! I to buy them, but it is usually a limited choice, so I decided to make them instead. More variety, and probably better made in the long run. I'll try to post some of them on my page. Where we are is totally in the boonies, and I would have to drive over 100 miles to find a decent clothing store. We have a family dollar close by, but their clothing is usually not worth the money they are asking. I don't mind paying, but the quality had better be good. I will not pay for trash.

It's a gorgeous morning here. I hope it lasts, because I want to get outside some today to do some gardening. I'm so glad that winter seems to be over, finally. But then, I thought that two weeks ago, and the day after I did some gardening, it snowed for three days! I wish nature would make up its mind!

I only slept for about 1.5 hours on Thursday night, so yesterday was not a good day. I did some vacuuming, but that was about the extent of it. It was desperately needed, that was for sure. I'm not sure what I will be doing today, other than two loads of laundry and some gardening.

I will be so glad when this Covid 19 thing is dead and buried - 24 ft under if possible. At least I will be able to get out and do my own grocery shopping. I appreciate the store doing it and delivering it for me, but invariably they get stuff wrong. I want to be able to make my own selections again, and wander around so that I can find stuff I had forgotten to write on my list. I've never been a patient person anyway, and this is driving me nuts!!!!!! Oh well, such is life.

I don't think I've ever worn a dress around the house. What are they like?

Just saw a good thought on the Beck Diet plan site:
You donít cure emotional eating by removing all comfort foods. You do it by learning to comfort yourself.

In my case, although I can't claim to be totally cured, it was also by just plain refusing to eat outside my (generous and flexible) plan. And I still suspect that not all eating people call emotional is emotional. I think it's just responding to habit cues and a fair amount of plain old addictive eating.

Had a relatively busy day and an easy time with my plan. BUT even though I was plenty full whenI finished dinner, I'm feeling some rumblings now. And it was not a light dinner! This body is full of surprises.

I know that when I finally give up the cookies (except for special treat) I will feel better. I did better last night - during the day is not the problem, just in the evening - but still not as good as I would have liked. But, my weight was trending down again this morning, so I know I didn't over do it.

Finished up the blouse I was working on. Now I have to try and find something else to work on. I have seven more pieces of fabric I can work on, I just have to decide what I want to make with them. I know I need more house dresses, so I will probably do some of them with at least two of the pieces. I'll see about making some tops and/or dresses with them. I have more fabric for pants, but without zippers I would rather not get started on them. I already have one that is partially done, and I can't do any more until the zippers come in. I will have to try and find another source of zippers, Joann's has such a limited supply.

It's another beautiful day, so I know it will be a good one.

Dang! I didn't get to unpleasant task 2 yesterday and turned out I had to add some steps to task 1 that took time today. And I have a webinar in 20 minutes, so I might not get to task 2 because businesses will be closed when I'm done. Well, I can research numbers to call tomorrow.

I never can figure out why I feel more calm and resilient some days, and believe me, I've looked for the pattern. But it's too exhausting. I am just grateful and vow to accept what arises in my thoughts as something temporary.

Boy, do I know the cookie thing. After ten years, I decided to break up with them for a year. Have to admit it hasn't been as hard as I thought, BUT I also know I couldn't have forced myself to earlier.

Not much on the agenda again today. Covid 19 has seriously slowed my life down - and it was slow to begin with.

I noticed my weight is creeping up again, and I'm aware of the fact that I've been eating too many cookies, so I know what I have to do.

I will be "good" today, and maybe the downward trend will start again tomorrow. My goal is to be down to 153 by 5/30. Today I was 155.8, so I will have my work cut out for the next week or so.

I was just teasing about your husband, though any of us can be unaware of our own motives!

I like wearing pants that are a little too big, as long as I don't feel too full, too. I notice when I eat a little lightly and wear more comfortable clothing, I feel peppier.

Got at least two unpleasant tasks today and noticing a subtle yen to go nibble. Will make some decaf and get to those tasks after a little more catching up on Spark.

Oolala53, you might be right, about my DH, I hadn't thought about that. But maybe not, I don't think he is that vicious - at least, I hope not. Oh well, if he is, that's his problem.

I had a good day yesterday. I did some more prep work on the new pants. I think they will be too big at this stage, but I would rather it be that way than too small. There's only so much seam allowance I can let out to increase the size. I hope they work out, pants are not easy.

Other than that, I didn't do much. Once I start with the sewing, I tend to get tunnel vision and forget everything else, including eating sometimes. Yesterday I did remember to have lunch, so that helped.

I'll see what today brings. It is starting out full of promise, lots of sunshine and blue skies, so maybe it will stay that way for awhile.

KLB, maybe your husband has an ulterior motive with your getting stuck when he helps... emoticon

Had a sore throat for about 36 hours. It dissipated today but I was also doing a lot of gargling and taking herbal support (I swear this stuff really does something, called Wellness). Soreness was gone for most of the day: I feel it a bit now, but that sometimes happens at night. Refusing to freak out. Wasn't hungry until evening so just had tea before then, a fair amount. A delicious dinner and done. I do sometimes get antsy when I'm not hungry and I am trying not to eat; forgot I had an online event at 2 until 4, so that solved that problem then. Need to get tax docs to my accountant. I was going to drop them off before she opens her office; now not sure.

Sometimes feel some strong frustration and discouragement from continued problem with rats getting into my attic space. Have paid a few thousand dollars and eventually, they get back in. Maybe I need to accept to pay some company to be on retainer? but I lived here for years before there was an issue. Oh, well, will do some research tomorrow. Last company was terrible so won't use them again. Will not eat over it!

Another Sunday has arrived, the start of a new week. It's a nice and sunny one, too, maybe I can get outside again. I have to start clearing the ground for the fruit cage. I would like to be able to get some planted, by mid-June at the latest (usually, the last expected frost, but this year - who knows). I would also like to finish off the cleaning up the garden bed I started over a week ago, just before it snowed again! That's summer in New England, for you!

I started on the pants for my outfit for the dressmaking course. I love the brushed denim. I will probably try to get some more of it in different colors. I think it will make up fairly easily. My biggest problem is trying to rush it, and fitting. It's really had fitting clothes on yourself, even with a full length mirror. My DH is useless when it comes to thing like this. All thumbs, so he tends to stick me with pins a bit too much. Oh well, such is life.

Thanks OOlala53, I made it through the day. Getting outside definitely made a difference. I was hoping to do so again today, but we are expecting rain, so I guess I will have stay indoors. I wish I had a poncho, then I could be outside light rain or no.

Yesterday was a great day. I made three trips to the dump, and got just about all of the trash gone. I still have some cans, glass jars and cardboard to go, but that will be easy. Hopefully, that will be done on Sunday. I WISH we had trash pickup here. It would make my life and garage so much happier!

I'm still looking forward to today, in spite of the rain!

Hope you made it, KLB.

Have had a decent mood today. I do not expect to feel as happy as the word implies, as expecting that just triggers me. I used to teach a unit on the study of happiness in my 10th grade English class and one of the researchers said most people experience a drop in happiness when asked to comment on it. We have such high expectations.

Food is relatively peaceful. Not eating high-dopamine foods helps.

Woke up in a bad mood this morning. And I had a headache, first one during the day for quite a while. I think I may have slept too much last night. I didn't do my exercises first thing, and that is not helping. I will do them very soon I know I need them, and it may help my mood.

I gave in to emotions last night and I regret it this morning. That may be a bit of the reason why I woke up so sluggish. Too much sugar last night. I am determined to do better tonight.

Thankful that eating is relatively easy the last days and even most of this year/decade. Remind myself sometimes that it is often actually not emotion but just plain old being seduced by high reward/low satiety food. The less I have them, the easier it is to bypass emotional eating.

Having something nice on the menu for the next meal has saved me from impulse eating many a time. I don't usually plan the whole week, but I keep the ingredients for wholesome meals, so I know it's always possible to have something decent. I know back in the day, women's magazines were always talking about weekly meal plans.

Feeling on a pretty even keel, knock on wood. Not keeping much seductive food around so it might be false strength, but I've been mostly maintaining for over seven years, and know I don't want to go back to how I used to live as a compulsive eater. But it still takes a bit of juggling at times.

I need to exercise early, and run some errands today. :)
I have planned my meals for the week. That usually helps me stay focused, and I've found my husband really likes to know what to look forward to for dinner coming up.

Oh, in case it matters, of course also share any emotional eating observations.

No challenges today. Kept to the general plan, though (and this might be TMI) I upchucked not long after dinner, but let's just say I came to understand it was something at lunch that was the cause. There were leftovers, which are now outside ready to be added to the compost container tomorrow. No worries, I have plenty of other food. I've been sticking to my plans decently and am not looking to eat much less than I do, so I hope I get my appetite back tomorrow.

Yesterday I drank my 96 ounces of water and had 61 exercise minutes!
Today has been different....I;ve been on the computer. I think I'm only at about 40 ounces so far! I better go drink water and get a workout in!

Sorry, I lead three other teams and sometimes this one gets the short end of the stick. I don't really consider myself a problem emotional eater anymore, but I remember the struggle and try to come to support, but it IS thin participation, which is amazing since emotional eating is a pretty common issue. However, I believe we often eat for reasons other than emotions that have nothing to do with hunger and that can confuse the issue. Emotional eaters can get frustrated looking for the emotion that's the problem, and there isn't any, it's just other defenses the body has to losing weight kicking in, and you just have to keep your mouth closed and hold on until the next meal. (Also, Changing Turtle and I are on two other teams and we communicate there.)

Melamon2, I think it would be great for you to come here and report your exercise and water drinking each day. When I started, it was one other person on one team who used to just report her general plan for the day that kept me coming back, too.

I am painting with acrylic paints on canvas I paint abstract and have a few posted on my Spark page. I am on m Obama phone and can not post on the team page.

Today for stress relief I am exercising for 120 minutes. I have started already doing 10 minutes of weights and using the peddler for 30 minutes. I have a morning walk planned for 30 minutes and than this evening going to use the peddler for 60 minutes. I am just going to put it in front of the TV and peddle.

Exercise is going to ease my nerves make me feel happy and keep me busy and out of snacks.

THose are great ideas! I always feel better after a walk outside- especially if I didn't really feel like going in the first place!

Now that it's nearing 60 degrees outside it feels even better! We don't have to bundle up so much!

Today when feeling like the walls are closing in I will go outside for a few moments. I will enjoy the fresh air. It is a nice warm day in the 80's. I woke up in a good mood with plans in my head. Today will be a good day.

You've given me things to think about!
Absolutely correct that I can't control the mood or feeling, but I am responsible for how I respond to it! I can choose to snack or not! That's my focus right now.....no seconds at dinner and only my healthy snacks at snack time!
Also, intrigued about the need for independence for us introverts.

Feeling again on an even keel; no tug to stray from the general eating plan, which included finishing all eating by 6 p.m. Ran a letter I wanted to get out up to a corner mailbox and had a nice exchange with a neighbor. Nice as much because it fills some of the time! Two online events today, though only one involved interacting with others.

I haven't gotten to the end of it, but I saw an article in the NYT about how even introverts, who are famed for spending time alone, can get lonely. It is often said introverts lose energy by interacting with others, but this author has just presented the idea that the real issue for introverts has more to do with independence. Intriguing thought. Will report more later.

My mood is good today. I honestly don't feel in control of my moods, though I am in control of what I do when they hit, though it can be difficult.

I've got a recipe for mushroom bourguignon in the slow cooker today. I made it once before and it reminded me of stews my dad made when I was growing up. I've rarely made meals like the ones my family did, even though the food was reasonable for the time. I've gotten even farther away from meat, so meals are going to be really different. I also tend to eat more of a variety of vegetables. In any case, it will be nice to have something that feels homey and warming for dinner. It's been overcast right up until just now, though the sun is barely peeking through, so I think it will stay blustery. I already did a little yard work; may do some more, but no promises.

I had a big binge, I just felt I had to chew and chew and nothing made me happy. I even got some gum and chewed and chewed on that until my jaw hurt.

I woke up at 2:00am on Monday morning thinking about how sad this Easter was for so many families. Finally fell back asleep at 4:00am then woke-up at 9:30 since it was dreary rainy weather. This morning I woke up at 6:30 am and feel better since the sun is shining. My husband is realizing he is watching too much news that he tells me all about. His doctor prescribed him 'Ativan" when his blood-pressure becomes too high even though he is taking medication for it.

Up in the wee hours of the morning. I have nights like this woke at 1:30am. I hear a few birds chirping now at 3:00am I think they are the early bird getting the worm. Lol laughter is the best medicine.
If we think on the funny side of.things and not well dwell on Bad Things we won't be over eating. Yes times have changed but I can row with that. We are not ment to stay the same, change is good.

I had a nice outting today, I went to the supermarket, Safeway. I love shopping there. I also went and picked up hubby and my nerve med. I tend to be depending on it more now as I heard stress makes you weaker. I am trying to do what will make me healthy.

I am no longer using the bandana mask my neighbor made some masks and I am using one of them. I clean my hands before I take it off and than I wash the mask.

Good Morning My Friends,

Just wrote quite a lot in answer to your posts but when I tried to post it said I was not signed in and I lost everything! Has that ever happened to any of you? Well, here goes, trying to remember what I said again! :)

First off, sending lots of good wishes to you as you celebrate Easter. I am thankful that we are all here and safe and healthy even with the world in such a turmoil around us. It is still reassuring to know that we can have the peace and comfort that comes from above, no matter what we are facing!

Kathryn, you are so sweet. I was not offended at all by your comment regarding age, but just thought I'd clarify, for the record! Sounds like we have been blessed by good men in our lives, so that is reason enough to be thankful!

I found it just a little more restricting when I went to Safeway yesterday. They were making a line and only allowing 100 people in the store at one time. She asked if I wanted a cart, but I told her I didn't need one as I was only there to get a bouquet of flowers for my daughter! I must say everyone I've run into seems to be taking precautions to make things as safe as possible.

Nancy, it sounds like your family is really spread out. Thank goodness we still have our phones and can keep in touch that way! My two girls are here in Phoenix with their families but I have one son living in Atlanta, GA. Well, gives me a good excuse to travel, at least after this is over I hope we can get back for a visit again! That is sure nice that your daughter is able to bring you groceries and supplies, Nancy. Kids are great and having them close is really wonderful.

OoLaLa, it was good reading your post and thanks for responding to everything. Sounds like you are still making lots of good choices food-wise! I think a lot of us here like cereal to eat. I guess I grew up eating it and had it drilled in my head that it was a healthy choice. I know it has a lot of carbs, but I try to get the healthy stuff with little to 0 added sugar. I like it for all the fibre it provides.

Jeanne, thanks for the inspiring Easter post. It was lovely.

Well, I will go to my daughters house today to drop of her flowers, but I won't go inside. It will be nice just to see them from the car, at least for a little while. She is being very cautious also because she is a bakery manager/supervisor at Safeway and she is a little paranoid that she could be a carrier, but she has not been sick at all.

Sunny, good work on shipping the guitar. I get it about the calorie check. Older women and often don't have much leeway in how much they can eat. Good job on walking. So right about it supporting better mood. Glad Ben is home. It would be hard to have to let a loved one stay in the hospital and depend completely on others to know how it's going.

The ironic thing about eating, especially junk, is that it actually does extremely TEMPORARILY make people feel a little better, but it is also followed by regret. Just like with drugs, once they aren't fun anymore. Maybe this lockdown thing will help some people get to the point where they really see the fun isn't worth the regret.

Nancy, so glad to know hubby tested negative for C19, and that his blood pressure issue could be handled, but it is worrisome. Sorry about your knee, and feeling drawn by food. Seems we will be down awhile; there is still time to turn things around.

Re: cereal, I have only one dry type I eat but I hadn't been buying it for awhile. I got some just before quarantine, and it's all gone already, while I still have plenty of less processed food. Geez. I have to admit sometimes when I am in a market, the cornflakes and Cocoa Puffs call to me. That makes them suspicious for me!

It is really disturbing that we have so little capacity to test the general population. It is skewing the numbers to look only at those with specific symptoms.

Sorry to tell you, but I read that bandannas are the least effective kind of fabric to use for a mask. But it's got to be better than nothing, as long as we don't contaminate ourselves when taking masks off.

I am actually running out of freggies. I almost can't believe it. It's been along time since my stores got this low. A friend who conveniently lives in the neighborhood will be shopping early in the week and will get some for me. I've got dry and frozen food to last for weeks.

Interesting what Kathryn said about California. We are having the first really sunny afternoon in awhile. I live on a canyon and can hear what sounds like a little party going on on a patio across the way. I can see they are not keeping distance. Grrr.

My daughter brought us all the ingredients to make "bacon-lettuce-tomato" sandwiches for her birthday lunch today. The fresh bread, tomatoes, romaine lettuce and bacon tasted so delicious with Miracle whip + I happened to have some Cabot Vermont cheddar cheese slices that I bought a few weeks ago when everyone was grabbing what they could before the "shut down". I made lemonade and ice tea and we mixed them. `It is just such a habit saying "Happy Easter" It is anything but a happy Easter this year for so many people. Tomorrow is actually our Palm Sunday since I joined the Syrian Orthodox church when I married my husband back in 1965. My husband's family in Lebanon are under the same social distancing restrictions that we are.

Easter is a blessed holiday but we are skipping it now. Hubby and I even decided to pass on the candy this year. I am trying to not eat so much candy. I tend to over do it on the sweets when stressed. I am going to get ahold of this problem and I think of it as a problem.

Happy Easter Kathryn and Sunny! Since we live here in Dedham, MA we have been told to stay home since 3/13. I'm 73 myself and my husband will be 81 in August. My son, who is 42, lives in a condo in Santa Monica, CA with his wife and 3 year old daughter.They have been told to stay home for the last month.My older daughter, who is 53, lives in Tolland, CT with her family where they were told to stay home last month also. My 47 year-old daughter who is single lives in our town. She asks me if I need groceries and brings them to the deck with her dog.She's an elementary school music teacher.Thank goodness that the churches are able to live-stream their Easter Services on Facebook.

Oh I am sorry I miss wrote I ment you two have husbands older than mine. I too have an age diffence with my hubby he is 74 and I am 63. Sorry I miss wrote.

Today I went out on the street and saw people. We are still able to go out for food no going out socializing. The management of our building took all but one chair out of the lobby. We use to gather in there but it was no more than six people and we had room for physical distance. I was a little upset at that as it was a place to talk to other people.

I am very strong on this Physical distance thing and find myself being a little rude to people wanting them to stay back from me and don't get on the elevator with me. I guess I will be known as a Bxxxx. But my hubby and I may make it through this.

Oh golly, that is sure a long time to have to wait to get into see the orthopedic surgeon, Nancy. I'm glad the cortisone shot is giving you some relief for now and sometimes those can last for a long time. This COVID virus has affected so many aspects of our lives and the list keeps on going!

Kathryn, I guess I should have posted that my Ben is 14 years older than I am, so I'm not quite up there yet as far as he is! Ha Ha. I'm glad for our age difference as I am able to take care of his needs and just hope I can continue for a long, long time! Your husband sounds like a joy and so good to be able to keep a sense of humor when life sometimes does not go along as we have planned. It is also good you have your painting and hobbies to keep you busy and happy during the lock down. Arizona has implemented stricter policies also. They want people to have a face mask on now whenever going into the stores that are still open such as Home Depot, groceries, Walmart, etc. The cases here have taken quite an upswing, but that was expected. It is supposed to peak this week, so hopefully that is true.

Nancy I too have a bad right knee. I have bone spurs. Sometimes my knee goes out. I am still able to take walks for 30+ minutes and not be in to much pain. I don't take my walks now I use a peddler for exercise.

My hubby is young than you two ladies. He is 74. He is a functioning quadriplegic with limited use of his arms and legs. And has been since June 3rd 2016. He is of sound mind and a teal cut up has us laughing all the time. He has rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure and asthma. So he is in the high risk too. We have to look after these men right?

I heard last night that us in California have to stay in no going out for two weeks. Is that going on in your state. We can't eben go out for food. I am lucky I planned for this day. I knew it might come.

I have started a new painting and am finding enjoyment in that. I am also exercising every day and really enjoy that. Finding joy in little things is my goal for the next two weeks.

I have a support line to call if I need to talk to someone. I have no non Spark friends to reach out to so I touch bases with you all

Sunny I think back in December while walking into the mall I nearly dislocated my right knee. It was so painful to walk on afterwards that I went to my primary physician who recommended I see a Rheumatologist who showed me that the cartilage between my knee cap and thigh bone and leg bone has completely worn away so that it is bone-on-bone. I was fortunate to get a cortisone shot on 3/12. I made an appointment to see an orthopedic specialist who can't see me until 7/29 because .of the guide lines for COVID-19.
it's okay this time will pass too!!!

Nancy, so sorry about your knee. When you knees hurt it is terrible. I had orthoscopic surgery on my right knee about 15 years ago due to torn cartilage and it has been good ever since except for a brief time when I just bruised my bone. Is there anything you can do about your situation? Knee replacement is a scary fix, but I know so many people who have had very good outcomes. Anyway, hoping yours will be much better soon.

Seems like quite a few of us here have health concerns with our significant others! My Ben is 86, but you would never have known it up to just a few months ago. He's lived a very active life and done so many things. It is rough when they can't do everything they used to do and hard for them to accept the changing circumstances.

Kathryn, sounds like you are turning in early in the evenings! Are you an early riser also? This isolation is hard to deal with, but hoping to stay positive and hoping the worst of it is behind us.

I'm still worried about my husband's high blood-pressure, he's 80 years-old and sort of starting to have a little dementia. At least he can get outside and do some trimming of trees and raking leaves. Since i can't really walk that much with my right knee, I spend my days communicating with my cellphone, iPad and computer with my family. It is really sad to have to feel "Am I taking a risk eating a delicious chicken sandwich at the "new" Popeye's that just opened here last week?" Here in Massachusetts they have closed all unessential businesses and set-up a curfew at 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.I have gained 7 lbs already, but I really need to control myself because my "right knee" can't take anymore weight. When this shut-down is lifted i will want to be able to just "walk"!

Oh, Kathryn, I am so sorry your husband has been going through all of that. It is so hard on them and so difficult for the loved ones when you feel like there is so little you can do. I sure hope he is improving day by day now that you have him home again. I was really worried about Ben in the hospital right now because they are allowing no one to be with them and it is like they are helpless and have no advocate there to monitor what is going on. So anyway, I agree it is sure better to have them at home.

Good job on not snacking last night. I should have done that, but already confessed to the Dairy Queen drive thru window. Today will be on the straight and narrow with any luck and have meals pretty well planned out which always helps!!
