Doing ok - 4 out of 5 days snack free - still working through my 2nd reading of Atomic Habits - I know it will help me conquer this snacking habit once and for all - fed up of having my good work undone - I am going to put in the work on this.

I've been hitting the candy bowl pretty hard the past few days but on the positive side I have upped my exercise time and intensity so I haven't been gaining lots of pounds. But I need to focus on my goal!

I did well staying in my calorie range but did not do well with water intake. Feel tired. My sleep pattern is off. Trying to adjust to a new medication and a new schedule all at the same time. Will keep trying, it will all fall into place over time.

Off track the last two days... I could blame dh for bringing home foods that set me off but I'm the one that put the crap in my mouth. Still, the feeling of defeat, regret and disappointment is hard to shake off but must be done or the binging will continue. Hoping to put this all behind and move forward. So far the day's been good but it's the early evening into the night that's the true test.

Hope everyone's doing better than me.

Focusing on small things so I don't beat myself up- I have been improving on drinking water, something I dislike doing. Weaning myself off flavored drinks.

Got some bad news about an expensive problem but no food involved. Also skipped snacks at an evening meeting I often eat at just for the fun of it, and my tummy is feeling so good now.

I move more than I know how to track. I rearranged the file room at work yesterday and worked up a slight glisten (as my grandmother called sweat). Not sure how to add that?? Have a great day Lovelies!

Been keeping junk out of the house and as a result, down four pounds and most notably 1.5" from my waist. No temptation around makes it easier not to binge. Feels great to be making progress and to be in control again.

I hope everyone's meeting some of their goals too. Stay warm and safe wherever you are.

Loved the Spark article on sleeplessness. Stress makes me have a hard time sleeping through the night and that does not help my weight loss goals.

I am slowly getting back on track, I am finally working on my emotion eating. I figure if I can accomplish being for sober for two yrs. and work on the 12 steps. I can work on this as well.

No desire to eat, so I am trying to drink protein shakes and cooking mustard greens to try to get solid food in my diet. Not eating is just s bad as over eating emoticon

I've been off and on track for the last several days it's crazy. All it takes is a bite of processed sugary or starchy food to get me going. Most of my trigger foods are gone except for an unopened box of frosted mini wheats and a half eaten bag of chips. I went grocery shopping and planned my meals for today. Hopefully today will be the first of many healthy eating days. Hang in there and best wishes for all of us.

Think I am an all or nothing person - I stick to the plan 100% but if I slip up in any way I have real trouble getting back on track. I was away at the weekend and I think I was anticipating my fall and so not only was I off plan while away, but also the day before and now I am still not back on track...

@SUGARFREEFEAST I can go on a binge, overeat, etc., simply because the food is there. Like an alcoholic, I can't keep trigger foods in the house and expect to have the 'will power' to avoid eating it, even if my life depended on it. I'll end up eating it, regretting it and the cycle starts again. I do better keeping those foods out of my home. Cravings come and go, but the food we eat during those times harms us in more ways than one. At least it does for me.

last night my husband and I were bickering. It started to get heated. Instead of grabbing something to eat after he went to bed, I went back to our room, grabbed a book I needed to read for work, read for a little while, then went to sleep. It's a small victory, but a victory none the less. I know I need to figure out ways to handle emotion, but not eating this time was a BIG one for me.

It makes more sense to eat more earlier in the day - most people eat late in the evening cos it's the only time they can do it.

Really pleased with my eating, tracking and exercise this past week or two.

I did a good job yesterday; not feeling as "strong" about today. I will see how the remaining half of the day goes; have been holding on so far. Meeting a supportive friend helped me through the morning.

Been experimenting with meal content and timing now that I'm retired. Is it old age that is making me rather like ending my eating earlier in the day than before? I usually eat on my own so there's not much to interfere. I'll have to figure out how to roll with social opportunities that appear. I like eating with others sometimes and don't want to miss it.
