Find what works to release the pressure. Even if simple things to just work for 5 minutes or 50.
Remember to breathe. And as my Dad says, nothing is forever - finite. Go with what works.

I experience a lot of stress in my job.
I try to relax by listening to meditation and hypnotherapy CDs or MP3s.
I also find that walking is very good, especially if I can walk in nature, along the beach or through the bush. If I only have time for a walk through suburbia I listen to uplifting music on my iPod as I walk.
I think sometimes the first step is acknowledging that you are stressed.
Good luck.

I love boxing and get so much enjoyment while I let out my stress and frustration.

This is when I like exercise - really hard exercise, like water aerobics or boxing - because you can really take out a lot of your frustration and emotional stress by slamming the water or punching bag or whatever. Makes me feel better both physically and emotionally.

Other note - when my dad was terminally ill (back in December), I mostly ate comfort foods - but I was careful to NOT overeat. So while I didn't have the best nutrition (lots of bagels!), at least I didn't gain weight.

Hope that helps - and that things resolve soon!

You can do this. Try and go with the flow. It is all about flexibility. I f something doesn't work now change it. You are in charge. If you have to pull back a bit, do so. But keep drinking that water ( everything including stress and pain) is less if your body is hydrated. Eat healthy, stress is less if your body is nourished. Hang in there we all care about you!

I'm at a very stressful time in my life and finding it very hard to stick with my program. I have some amazing support from my partner but with the rest of my life breaking apart i find it hard to deal with life stress and failure feeling from not keeping to my program. I would normally just change or remove the stress, but sadly it's something i can't control and have to roll with. It has shattered my self esteem and self worth. Any advice on how to manage the stress?
