It's been cold and rainy here, too. Finally cleared up this afternoon and reached the 70's, yay!
DH and I are thinking about getting out of town Sunday/Monday, we could use some reconnection time. Tomorrow we're heading to my sister/BIL to have our eyes checked. BIL is an optometrist and DH thinks his eyes have changed so may need new glasses. I'd like new glasses too, but we'll see if I want to spend the money right now. Probably not.

Friday!!! Rain day!! Again!!! I taught a kickboxing class this morning & my body & brain had to work efficiently. The deck temp was only 80* -- still hot --- But cooler than the 98* that is 'normal'. My Energy was low upon waking up. I listened to upbeat music and read a short story of high energy. It helped some but starting the class I was in need of a SHOT. Five minutes from the end of class when I was cooling them down---I mentioned that my Energy level was down and I felt a wave of fear due to not subbing for many months. They all laughed and I couldn't figure out why. I asked how their body felt and about their pride for themselves. I guess they felt they received a good routine and they were happy. Wwwwhhhheeeewwwww!!!!!

My Groupon oil change was very educational. It's a ma-pa location (from the 1940's). What that means in my experiences is that they building has accumulated many decades of stuff and the father, all of his sons operate the auto repairs and selling of used cars. I felt right at home. I purchase my tires at a similiar type of business. The labor prices are suppose to be less and the over head of building is low. They are to send me a bid for two areas that need to be put on my 'repair list'.

I haven't made a decision re: driving the 2 hours to hopefully watch Soccer tournament. They have thunder warnings for the time of game. If it gets canceled it will be played at 11:00 Saturday. I won't be ab le to attend on Saturday. Decisions--- decisions.,

I'll wash my hair etc. on Saturday after teaching!!! LOL!! Priorities!!! I'm lazy!!!

Hugs to all!!! I want to spread weed n feed & trim around a couple of flower beds. The riding lawn mower service doesn't work on the incline of the circle. Breathe in . . . breathe out!!!

Hugs to Surround Us All as a Group! Connie, in WI

Cooler here, too, by 10°. Only a high of 62 today, rain on and off. Rain expected tomorrow and Monday, as well.

It was raining kind of heavily when I awoke, but barely a drizzle after I got dressed, so off to the doggy park we went. Then a quick run to Winco for lettuce and some spices, as well as chicken wings.

Interviewing a potential housemate this morning, and have decided to stop.at the senior center this afternoon. Why not, right?

Waiting to hear from my older son, to see if they're full up over the weekend. Would love to have the grands over.

Nothkng else going on.

Enjoy your Friday!

Today suddenly got cooler here too - not that I mind. I'd be happy if the whole year was four days of sun followed by three days of rain!

I think this weekend is supposed to be half clear and half damp, but we'll see. I mercifully have no plans for tomorrow. I might do a grocery order for myself. Then Sunday I'm meeting a friend to go for a walk - we'll walk a riverside boardwalk from a park into town. There's a good furniture store right at that end of town, and if we're up for it, I may get her to help me shop for a new bed.

I've got to dive back into my big, ongoing client project and then go to the PT job this afternoon. My hours are still creeping up there, but he actually listened to me on Tuesday, and then had an open conversation with his good staff members. They were SO much happier yesterday.

We are much colder than normal this year too and more moisture than normal as well. I am ready for some "normal" weather, but am beginning to wonder if we will get any this year. All across the country the weather is extreme. Cannot believe that it is Memorial Day weekend and the temps are in the 70's. Should be at least in the 80's, if not the 90's. Going out to garden--weed, weed and more weeding and have ordered some succulents to plant next week.

Enjoy your day.

Hang on, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

A dangerous day today. I didn't plan today's food last night, and nothing sounds "good" this morning. Breakfast was OK - I made bone broth day before yesterday and had a big mug of that (my usual breakfast) with a piece of lemon in it. No problem there. But when I think about what to have for lunch and supper, my mind is a blank. And you know what that means, if I'm not careful - grazing. I was going to go grocery shopping this morning, but I have a feeling I'd be likely to "graze" at the store, too, and buy stuff I don't need and that isn't on my food plan. So I think I'll skip groceries this morning go tomorrow. Wisdom is the better part of valour, and all that. Mom has quite a grocery list, but she should be able to wait, too.

Yesterday was another cold, gray day, but it's sunny and warmer today. Well, warmer than it has been, but still 10 degrees below average. It rained a little bit yesterday, but not much. I MUST get out and finish planting my garden today, before it starts raining again tomorrow! Except for the green beans. The seeds would probably rot in the ground. They'll have to wait until it dries out a bit.

Hope everyone has a great day and a great Memorial Day weekend.
