Thank you. This looks like something that I might like to try. It seems quite versatile.

Hi,
Sun Warrior is a vegan protein powder made with rice protein. It is also raw, made with sprouted grain. Here is a link to their website that contains more information about the product. I have tried numerous vegan protein powders and have found sun warrior to be the best tasting of the bunch. www.sunwarrior.com/products/sunwarri

Sun Warrior is my favorite vegan protein. I absolutely love the vanilla flavor! The chocolate isn't bad either but I can really taste the stevia in it so I find I have to mask it by adding ome fruit to my protein smoothies when I use that one. It is pricey - about 45.00 or so when I buy from Amazon, but a bag lasts me awhile (I only consume it a few times a week). I also like Nutiva Chocolate Hemp Protein.

Has anyone tried Sun Warrior? I did buy the nutribiotic rice protein and I really like it :-) Grittiness doesn't really bother me though.

NOWANDXEN, women with estrogen-receptive cancer tumors such as myself must also avoid soy. It feeds the tumors.

And women who have a genetic tendency towards cancer need to think of this as well. It requires genetic testing to see if one is prone to the HER+ tumors, but I would think that most women need to read up on this issue so they can make an informed decision for themselves, since soy is becoming so plentiful in our diets now.

Plantfusion has the best protein powders I've found. They are tasty and aren't gritty like brown rice protein. www.plantfusion.us/

Vega is also really good but tends to be kind of pricey. www.brendanbrazier.com/vega/index.ht

Your best bet is to try smaller quantities until you find one you like, "sample packs" can often be found online or in health food stores.

I personally stay away from soy proteins as they contain phytoestrogens which can be beneficial for women, but as a man I don't need the estrogen.

Hope that helps.

I use Genisoy Soy Protein powder (plain/regular). It has more protein (25g) than the vanilla version (13g). Also it's loaded with other vitamins as well. I stick it in a blender with Silk Light (vanilla or regular) and usually add a banana & strawberries/blueberries/some other fruit. Then I know I've gotten two-three servings of fruit, all my B vitamins for the day, and a good source of protein. It's something like 265 calories total. Oh, and I've never been able to taste the powder when I make my smoothie.

My FAVORITE is Nutri-Biotic Rice Protein Powder. It tastes awesome, no matter what flavor you choose. I tend to get the plain and mix it with my fruit smoothies. My kids prefer the Vanilla flavor.

Here's a link to their products. They are available at Whole Foods, Sunflower Market, Sprouts, Vitamin Cottage. I'm sure they are available other places as well.

Hi all!

I just started the "new rules of lifting for women" strength training program and I am now in need of a tasty protein powder. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm scared to order a huge jug of it online if it's going to taste awful :-(

Thanks,
RSW125
