thanks for the information I will tell her about the fruit,I know she won't see any body because I am and she is very negative about that, she just said get it of the net. very close minded, to her the only thins in good eating are calories, cholesterol, sodium and fat. if you watch them all is well

Travelnista eats fruit when she gets up. She has discussed this in many of her posts and blogs.

I know this but I don't do it. I'm just one person so I eat my fruit right away then I have to wait till pay day again to buy more fruit. So I'm not a good example

Here's the article that discusses that.

The best time to eat fruit is immediately upon waking. At this time of day, your liver glycogen levels are low, because your body has used them as an energy source while you slept. With low liver glycogen levels, your body turns to your muscles and begins to break them down for energy. When you eat fruit immediately upon waking, you provide your body with an alternate energy source, which helps end muscle catabolism.

Another good time to eat fruit is 30-60 minutes before a workout, particularly if you haven't eaten a high-carb meal for several hours. The fructose will fill the liver with glycogen, which will deliver glucose to the working muscles and help to spare muscle glycogen. As a bonus, fructose also doesn't block fat burning during exercise the way that glucose tends to do.

After your workouts is also a great time. At that point, though, generally opt for fruits that are higher in glucose than fructose. Glucose is more readily available for storage as glycogen, and it will better help spike your insulin levels to allow for more efficient muscle growth. For the best fruit choices for each of these times of day, see the chart, "Pickin' Fruit." findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0KFY

Can she make an appt to meet with a nutritionist? Because of her limitations, she really needs to make sure she gets in the right foods throughout the day. Lots of nutritionists will design a meal plan, then it won;t be so much work. She might not have time to make something, but I'm sure she has five minutes to scarf down something that she brings with her (I'm thinking batch meals that you cook on a day off for the rest of the week). Also, I'd recommend something like 5 or 6 snacks as opposed to meals--it's better for keeping the body constantly fueled and it takes less time to eat than your standard meal. It could easily fit into her hectic schedule. Hope that helps a little.

Hi I need some advice for my wife. She works in a nursing home so her hours are odd, she gets up at 3.00 AM but can't eat breakfast it makes her sick, she can't eat at work no time. When she eats at home it is her first meal of the day and she has a snack later. If she eats to soon before bed she is starving in the morning but can't eat so she is sick all day. and she can't eat nuts, seeds, corn, or cheese or any veggies with seeds in them and not to much tomato sauce because of a skin condition. Any body have any ideas what she can do
