I am starting January chat line tonight tomorrow is the first. See I am actually on time this month. LOL
I want to thank Chris for being a wonderful and informative and always sending sparkmails and ideas to the team. She has done a wonderful job this year for the team and deserves a big applause from the team for a very successful year for all of us. Some have met their goals, some have not, some have done blogs and journals some have not. Some have had milestones and terrific years some have not but we can I know I can say I have really enjoyed being a member of this team.
Let's make 2013 a better year and like Chris said no New Years Resolutions just daily or weekly goals that are doable. Don't set yourself up to fail set yourself up to reach your goal or goals one small goal at a time. Looking forward to a GREAT year with our team. I sent a pretty specific letter to the team. Oh my! Now if I don't follow my own advice I will be a hypocrite!

My SMART goal for the coming week:
I will eat at least 2 vegetables each day for the coming week, starting Sunday.

I am telling you all ! I will daily write in the accountability forum if I am actually doing this.
It is a baby step to my weight loss. I believe it is attainable (doable) and realistic for me at this stage in my life.

I wish I could make my goal about evening eating--but I am not there yet. Some of you are doing great with that!

Because
christmas for most has a different meaning now.
go shopping for christmas dinner, go shopping for presents , go back shopping for all the things you forgot. Thenwrraping the presents , and all the time put into buying if they like it or not?? then decorating & so it goes on & on .
stress ,
I am glad for that reason . Stress is over.

But Iam thankful for the time & fellowship with family .

I saw this on another team site and thought it was worth posting. There are so many teams and it is nice to pass different things on.

my son & stepson who has autism & spurs . we will have turkey dinner
in the morning we will go to the movies 7 see Hobbit after the rest of tyhe gifts are open.

I never am in the shopping, wrapping mood at Christmas and this year is no different. I found the perfume my DD wants today so DH has gone out to get it. Waiting for the bike I bought for him to be delivered today just hoping he keeps going after he picks up the perfume and doesn't decide to come right back and they run into each other. I want the bike to be a big surprise. I said we weren't buying each other anything this year but he rides to his friends houses and he really needs a good bike. This is made my Cadillac I bought it at a GM dealers.

I still have more to wrap but I really only have to worry about my Gson and DD upstairs they are the only ones I am going to see on Christmas. The rest I won't see until the 28th so lots of time to get it ready.

We were invited next door for their big dinner today I will probably stop by sometime. I have a pedicure appt. at 4 so right at dinner time I am guessing. DH will probably go over and eat and visit.

I have to get some stuff back to the library before noon so hopefully the bike gets here soon. It will cost me $6 for the late movies if I don't have them there before noon. I had bought my DH Mike a new cell phone about 2 1/2 weeks ago as a Christmas gift. I was at the same store I had bought it from (Meijer) doing some last minute shopping. Notice the phone was on sale$50 cheaper then what I had paid for it. It had been past the 2 week period for getting a price adjustment, but I was going to give it a try. Ran home got the phone and receipt and they gave it to me. WooHoo!!!

Then went to the new Golden Corral restaurant to get a gift card for my parents for xmas. There was a line coming out the door and all the way to the corner of the building. I couldn't have been able to get in the door if I tried. Now I'll have to go back out today and try again : (

We are going to my husband sister to night for a get together, and have finger food. Guarantee there will b nothing healthy there to eat. They are all over weight and don't care. So I will probably eat something before we go so I won't eat much there. Then tomorrow we will go to my parents in the evening for dinner. I love having Christmas morning to lounge around with my family.

I got my daughter a long, black, plush robe with a hood. She is always cold. My husband is cold, too so I got him several warm sweaters. He asked for cardigan style. And he wants a new wedding ring because his is lost in the house somewhere. I will give money to my daughter and her boyfriend. I hope I can go shopping with my daughter. That i s even more fun than picking out things for her. She has very specific tastes.
My 3 brothers had lots of children so I grew up buying lots of kid's gifts. But they are grown now and we don't live close to them. If I visit or they visit here, then I buy more.

And we used to travel to both our families before, but now with John disabled, I can't do that.

Pretty much we have a simple holiday now.

My step son daniel I give him more . He had spurs & autism . So I just love to give
to him . His mom gives a present . His one aunt from over seas . That it .
we dont have much funds. last year we gave him a kindle & few gifts.
and a cell phone one year. thgings we also think are good .

I have finished the x-mas shopping. tonight I went to ross . The line was back to the back of the store . I founded 3 journels , one each for my grandaughters or I would had walked out.
I do mostly gift cards , fun & easy. I have purchased chocolates,cookies , & trail mix
for some people .

I know I will'get caught' without a gift for someone. I have no ambition to shop. Probably I will give money or take people out for a meal if appropriate. I am actually in better spirits this year than for the last few years. I won't see 'the kids' (daughter and her boyfriend) till after Christmas so I can wait for the after Christmas sales. I have finally got to the point I figure I better start getting ready for Christmas this year just wasn't going to happen for me. So now I have to rush the next couple of days to get everything done and ready. Need to wrap the gifts for the people I babysit for 21st will be the last day before Christmas. Giving gift certificates to the movies for adults and kids.

I finally brought my tote out of the shed yesterday so have to go through everything and decide what I need for the last minute gifts not buying for many this year.

My youngest daughter their family is making all their family gifts for each other this year. It was funny I asked her to make me this thing for Christmas before they decided it was a homemade Christmas.

I have so much to do the next couple of days and I am babysitting all over the holidays so not much time for anything. Still deciding on the dinner on the 28th.

Enjoy this holiday time and be careful where the storms are coming we are supposed to have one the next couple of days but I think it is just going to be mostly freezing rain.

Last night dear hubby and I were eating dinner watching the news and the weather guy came on. We have our first winter storm coming some time today. So my daughter and I did decide to hit the store's to pick up a few things and finish up my Christmas shopping, or so I thought. I missed 3 place's. Two of them because they were closed and one I was just to tired and the pain was really kicking in. Yep, I even fell and landed in the Christmas tree. I'm just thankful I didn't knock it over, but I did bend a branch .

Making one more batch of Keiflies today( 8 dozen) and I'm done for the year. My husbands work place is having a Christmas party. So I'm sending all but one dozen for the party and the other dozen is also going to work with my husband as a gift for really good friend of mine that also works there. I will have to taste test one keiflies to make sure they taste ok. I make extra filling for mine so there nice and fat. I don't measure the extra ingredients. I just eye ball it. I will be glad to see them go. My sister in law bakes as well. I'm just praying she doesn't give us any as a gift. I just couldn't break her heart and tell her no that I don't want them.

I'm going to close this book I just wrote here, and say I hope everyone has a good day and stay strong against our food demon's.

thanks so much I brought my Christmas tote in today and went through the stuff to find a gift to take to dinner at friends tonight. Found things I forgot I had but no real big surprises in there. The big surprise came when DD heard from the radio station about the prize. I was waiting to hear if it was a pizza a week, month or what it was are you ready for this it is a $1000 gift card to pizza pizza. Yep 3 zeros is the right number. Amazing my gson will be happy I might order pizza on New Years eve when I have all the kids here. I have been training the dog for just over a week and he is doing pretty good. Today and last night not so much because DD wasn't home. He is not a happy camper when she isn't here I figure once he has been trained for quit awhile he should be fine even when she isn't home. I have to make a list now and get myself ready for Christmas. I will probably take the gifts to people in London on the weekend because I don't plan on being back that way until the 28th when I go to Chatham for the family dinner and pick up my gchildren they will come back with me until the 1st. I wanted to make it to aquafit 4 times this week but only once so far I will get there tomorrow so I can see some friends. I have to check the schedule because I will be able to go on the 24th no plans. I am babysitting from the 26th-30th so I won't have many days off over the holidays but I really need the money right now it is going to get costly to keep both houses until the one in London sells. Not to bad right now no taxes in Nov. or Dec. and that is over$200 a month. I hope it goes fast.
I am tired and my eyes have been really sore lately so going to rest them and I hope everyone is really enjoying this time of year and not stressing themselves out with preparations and visits etc. I am not doing it this year I am planning a nice relaxing holiday. teri

You will enjoy your life , when chaos ends. I have lived many years with someithing allways
happing,not necessarily me. But in the family.My sons are all grown and have thier own familes. I can say as the years go by , it gets more serene .

I decided a few years back ,no matter what I would chase peace. I would have peace .

My life is never ending calamity of one sort or the other.
The old van went in to see why it was grinding on starting after getting the new torque converter by recall at ford. They said they didn't know how it was even starting it wasn't connected. DH who always has something to say says you don't take a vehicle to the dealership they don't know what they are doing and they damaged the van. It has 300,000 km. on it. Prove it but I am realistic it could have just been the starters time to go. I was taking insurance off the van Jan. 1st anyway. Anyway it put a damper on my plans for Saturday ripping down the shed in London and finishing the house. I ended up having to use the rental truck for the loads to the dump etc. I put on 100 km but got all the big stuff to my DD's house etc. so that feels really good. Got home late and was really tired stopped and got bunny food at walmart OMG people shop all night at this time of the year. Sunday I had to babysit and then I went to a friends birthday. When I got home my DD's new car the rear drivers side bumper was all smashed. I said OMG I have to go see what happened and she isn't going to be a happy camper. Well her response was really I don't know anything about it. Then she was trying to remember everywhere she was because if you don't go by the back of the vehicle you don't see it. So today I went to get it priced dealership over $1200 the auto body shop getting the exact same bumper no knockoff right from GM$874.33. The auto body place pushed it out and worked on it so it would look good until after Christmas. It looks pretty good but DD is still thinking of putting the new bumper on the car is brand new. She will decide in the new year I think she should wait until she has some money.
So needless to say my day has been busy and still haven't accomplished anything around the house. I will be home all day Friday while GM tries to figure out why my traction and stablizer codes keep coming on.
Monday my DD won me a prize for Awesome Christmas giveaway. I won a year VIP pass to all the movie premieres in Toronto for 2013 so I might meet some stars plus a year Pizza Pizza so the week started off not to bad after the car fiasco. Things have to get better sooner or later. People say I wouldn't know what to do if there wasn't always choas and confusion in my life. I will never know because it hasn't happened yet. Good Morning

I lost internet yesterday , never came up.

well there is no rule to say everything has to be done at once. I use to feel that way.
Now I take on a project a day.

I received my new book on adding fiber in the diet in 4 weeks time. Fiber is a way to
curb down sweet urges , I didnt know that.

I made oatmeal muffins , with applesauce & flax seed . its on sparks receipts . they came out really good. I found light brown sugar & used a little splenda .
i will be trying mor of these sugar free treats. they fill you up . healthy

Groceries are mostly still in the van. I felt I had to clean the fridge before I put stuff in there. that is done...so I can now bring in all the groceries. It is pretty cold out and I brought in all the things needing to be inside frozen or otherwise.

I finally did grocery shopping. I had put it off for days! I was feeding DH some very weird meals!

I bought some peppermint ice cream. Yah , for him. I could not resist!

It is really hard if you have a sweet tooth sweets are my downfall also. Sugar is so bad for our bodies but our some of us crave the sugar or even a little taste your body takes over. I have done it before but it is hard getting started.
Right now my eyes are very sore and I am getting stressed again. I just got a call and the old van the starter is gone which is no big deal I am not putting anymore money into it I already took the insurance off for the 1st of January. DH is going to say the dealership did the damage etc. etc. and he is going to be very hard to deal with because I am just going to donate it to the kidney association they will pick it up. My youngest DD says talk to him and let him make the decision with you I just want to call right now and see when they can pick it up. The other van is at the GM dealer and they can't figure out what is wrong these stupid computer codes are a pain. I can't even take it in when the lights come on because they just flash off and on real fast. I have no vehicle right now this week I have had at least one vehicle in a shop every day but today should be the end. Waiting for my mechanic I don't deal with the dealerships unless it is under warranty is going to check to see if the tires from the old van will fit on the new van by any chance. I have to remember to tell him that the one tire is still losing air. They had to change the stem valve right after we put the tires on and I think it could still be a problem. The old van being of no use now has screwed up my plans for Saturday to get the shed down in London only because it will cost me more now because I will have to use the rental truck for all the disposal I was hoping to use the van to get rid of most of the stuff and just the truck to take the frame to my daughters.
Direct Energy I got straightened out it ended up costing me $387.81 but they were saying I owed over$800 nice try the reason it was so much it was 5 months of payments for various plans but it was there new billing system was all screwed up I said it was really simple and it should have never taken this long and I was going to make them wait and just pay a little at a time but I figured I better just get it over and done with the faster I can quit dealing with those people the better. A funny story! I chatted with Teri on the phone one evening. We had a great talk. The next day I was calling to make a doctor's appt. I got the office and was making the appt. and the phone went dead. I called them again but it would not connect. then the phone rang and it was Teri! She said her phone rang once with my name so she phoned me! I have no idea how my phone dialed her! Anyway we had a chance to chat again!

Now-remember -she is in Canada and I am in the US.

Katherine, I am now trying to cut down on sugar, too. I need to go buy fruit today so I stay away from the cookies! I did some blogging bout sugar. The naturopath really lectured me about not eating sugar. My blood test showed too much sugar in my blood. Not diabetic but heading toward that. And she told me the virus I have is harder to cure if I eat sugar. I never knew that. Triglicerides were high in my blood test, too. That is about fats. I did not know sugar made that go higher, too. So now I am watching my sugar eating!

My eating is way out of control now. My weight just went up and I am mad at myself.

If I am tired I have no control . I just eat what I am wanting.

It is like a chain : virus, then being tired, then not exercising and eating the wrong things!

I am again trying to eat more vegetables! I am cooking a package of frozed spinach or broccoli , or brussels sprouts. I spray it with Olivio butter spray and put that over brown rice.

Mrs C, My life seems kindof like yours. Pain and fatigue stop me from doing the things I have planned. Last week I was starting to cry because I hated feeling too tired to get things done. I now have some medicine from the naturopath to help my body heal from the virus I have. I am feeling better now. I have to plan only one or maybe 2 events for the day and then hang around home trying to get some minor things done here. I am very frustrated like you. I am glad you are sharing and posting. Teri, You are certainly trying to "take the bull by the horns!" It is so hard stealing time for yourself for things like aquafit! I guess it is easier for me since I have 'only' John and me to worry about. I have been on that tame your
sweet tooth & on my other team in another no sugar challenge.

so I know I have been having my desert of sweet muffins , they were store bought. I added the flax seed & walnuts. I have found sveral receipts for sugar free muffins . By scratch.
they make splenda brown sugar . amazing. there are cake mixes yellow cake sugar free
that youcan make muffins also. I thought the sweetness came from the blueberries .

so this is back to day 1.

terri I hope you get the electric straighten out. there is a higher authority . for this problems

I having a a bad pain day. It hurts so bad to move today, and I have ton's of things to do. My daughter notified me last night that we were out of wrapping paper, name tag's and christmas card's. I haven't gottin anything that suppose to go in the mail, into the mail : (, I don't have any wrapped and am getting ready to make my keiflies. Shoot I have to get some of those into the mail as well. Shoot I wish the pain would just go away so I can get something done....... UGH!!!

Muffins fit in the baked goods category. Pretty much everything has sugar natural or other or sweeteners. If you make the muffins yourself they are a better choice than store or bakery items. If you read most articles they will tell you donuts are a better choice than muffins my family doctor told me that over 30 years ago I thought she was crazy. You can always cut back the amount of sugar in recipes I have been cutting the amount of sugar called for in most recipes to half for over 30 years. I was also using the apple sauce and bananas, sour cream etc instead of oil for over 30 years. I should have written a cookbook or health book and made millions because everything they are suggesting now I have been doing for years and years I was way ahead of my time.
I didn't make it to aquafit this morning but I am going this afternoon to make my 3 times this week I told Chris and another sparkfriend. DH made an appt. for me for the tech to come 8-10 this morning I have been going to work at 8 am everyday now for over 3 years yep you can tell he knows what is going on. I came home instead of going to the pool then did some running around for the vehicles. This week is fix the vehicles week. All 4 of them are getting something done one day or the other.
I am on the phone with direct energy again trying to get my plans cancelled. I am so fed up with those people. I will never deal with them again I will buy the items instead of renting if I have to. I better get myself ready to go to the pool so I don't miss it today. Have a great day it is nice and sunny here. Teri

KATHARINEBRAY - Do you put sugar in your muffin's ? Most recipes call for 1/2 a cup. That is a whole lot more than a slice of bread.

I can see it because I am sure we can all relate to the look because well meaning friends, family etc. send chocolates, cookies and treats. Then you have to decide what to do I like to share because I know I have no willpower if they are in my house and open. I have picked up a few boxes of chocolates etc. for gifts if someone drops by or we drop by somewhere. I told my kids already this year I am not buying any chocolates or candies for them I am contributing to anyones bad habits. I got a thank you from my one daughter my other one eats terrible and has lots of health issues and says all us healthy eating people are going to die and all that will be left are the junkfood addicts and they will be laughing at us. So I don't try to get her to eat healthy anymore. She will buy her own candy and chocolate.
I am going to go to a Christmas concert tonight I am going to put myself first now. Have a good night. I will be on sometime tomorrow. Teri

OMG.... HELP!! My husband works with one of my really good friends That I haven't seen in a while. Well she sent him home with a HUGH tray of cookies and brownies and candy. There has to been 60 cookies in there. Well thank goodness my parents stopped by, because I gave them over half of it, but I still have half. They look soooo good, well some of them do. Think I'll send some back to work with my husband so he can share them. You should have seen the look on my face when he walk in the door with that tray

Changes in circumstances take getting used to when resources change you have to change with them. The main thing to remember no matter what it is you are buying NEED versus WANT always say that if it isn't a main staple or any item you may not really need. When I shop I buy for both my kids and their households I used to look at specials and think this friend could use this etc. but I have stopped that and I have also stopped stock piling food unless it is something I use all the time because by the time you need an item it is probably on sale again anyway.
I have made it to aquafit twice this week talked to Chris on the phone and committed myself to 3 times this week. I will do it I have decided my gson will go to school around my schedule some days I didn't go because he slept in and I waited to take him etc. no more. I even changed the appt. on the car maintenance so I could go after the pool tomorrow. I have 3 vehicles all in at the same time tomorrow and Friday one was in today(don't ask). 4 vehicles 3 drivers and trying to figure out who gets where and how tomorrow.
The dog is doing really good today with his crate training we have to go back to if he was a puppy the whole house has been his toilet and we have had enough. Today out 3 times and went 3 times and he is in the crate when no one is home. This is the 2nd day but the males in the house screwed it up yesterday well mainly DH he was told he had to watch him or leave him in his crate he locked him upstairs and when I got home he said Brandon was up there I said Brandon doesn't watch him he is in his room playing video games so now unless myself or my DD is home the dog is in the crate. The lady said it should only take 2 weeks here's hoping.
We got an offer on the house in London yesterday it was really low but we went back with the best offer we will accept and he either wants the house or he doesn't I am not lowering my price by too much it has only been on the market for 3 weeks I might have to wait until spring for a buyer but I was aware of that. It is costing us money every month but I won't give it away we will come up with other plans if we have to. The real estate agent is certain it will sell fast but he has the listing for 5 months so until April 19th. I have been wishing on stars etc. I really hope this guy will take it it was a great offer closing Jan.16th and if he accepts only 7 days to get financing and a home inspection so he isn't wasting time either. His offer was $24,000 less than our asking price and we countered with a$4000 loss from our asking price and not going any lower at this time. I am feeling pretty good today two days at the pool, lunch with a friend and hoping to go to a friends concert tonight and can visit with her afterwards hopefully.

I dont know how the large familes manage . I supposebuy in bulk . no matter what . The prices are outrages . I heard milk may double

I think fruit & nuts should be cheaper because of children . one bag of walnuts cost me

even baking at home is expensive . I suppose its cheaper once you have all the items.
I bought a lot of items for home made . trying to get away from expensive items
like muffins are almost 5.oo . I can make them now a whole lot cheaper .
I seen where biscuits are up to 1.50 a can.I will get some bisquick . I used them for dumplings.

I heard arizona is catching up with cailfornia on the cost of living.

I feel a lot more relaxed and less frustrated now that I don't talk to my brother at all. My mother on mothers day, christmas and our birthdays it is always to the point and goodbye it works for me. My whole family my decide not to talk to me again after I decide which scenario I am using to keep the money I owe my sister to try and recoup some of my loss for allowing them to live in my house. My youngest daughter is having a problem with me keeping the money she doesn't want to sever all ties with them but she also said that my sister has been treating her badly the last few years since the issue with my mom and brother. I did a quick survey with people not involved don't know my family and it was everyone but my DD said keep the money. The$4000 doesn't even cover half of what I will lose because of her decisions. I will tell her soon because I don't want her to think she has the money available to her in case she overspends again. I think my youngest sister will still talk to me because I didn't let the issue between her and my mother affect me so I am thinking she will keep the issue between my sister and me.
I have all my grandchildren today took them to home depot and got the 2 boys I babysit to come over and play and watch Christmas movies. I am doing laundry and housework. Have a slight headache probably due to the weather it is raining here.
Tomorrow off the London to hopefully finish the house and rip down the shed. The realtor is having an open house 2-4 so hopefully someone will like it. This is not a good time to sell the good thing is our interest rates are still really low.
I think I will go change laundry loads and lay down my headache seems to be coming back. Have a great weekend. Teri

After my back surgery didn't help my back pain and I wasn't sleeping well at all because I'd wake up in the middle of the night with my shoulder and my hip ( the side I was sleeping on ) hurting really bad. We decided to try out one of those comfort select sleep by number bed's. Hoping it would help with all the pain's I was having. It cost a lot of money. $3000. ( ouch! ). It has taken me a long time to figure out MY NUMBER. This past wednesday I slept very poorly and just hurt really bad all day. I was so depressed. Was laying in my bed and went to get up and noticed my side of the bed was really low, and my husband's look low as well. I got the controller out, lay down and pressed the button. It said 60. So I went up to 65. The pumped turned on and the number dropped all the way down to 30 and I could feel the bed starting to rise beneath me. For some reason it had lost it's air pressure. NO WONDER I WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN. I also checked my DH side and his had also lost it air pressure. This is the second or third time this has happened. I called after the first time. They had me do something to it to reset the pump. For$3000 ( paid with taxes. I can't save money). I shouldn't be having this problem. I'm calling again today. Does anyone have a sleep by number bed ?

Because of computer problems, I have not been posting. I'm baaaaack! Money well spent.

Great to see all the chatting. Real support 24/7! I love it!

My holidays have gotten simpler and simpler each year. We don't live near either of our families. We used to travel so much! I am very glad we stay home now. Facebook helps keep me current on family events.

Venting to friends is so helpful. And here we know we will get supportive advice. Wish I has SP years ago. I could have used it!

My DH is driving me crazy. Every minute he is either following me around the house commenting on what I am doing (sweating and cleaning!) or he comments (loudly) on evry TV show I watch. I try to understand the news or storylines and he keeps wanting me to answer him! I know he is bored but it is going to send me to the nut house soon!

I do go watch TV with him and try to chat--At those times he becomes impossible and has nothing to say or even goes in the other room. Go figure. I guess at 65 he is like a kid--needing attention from me.

My house today is cleaner than normal. My thyroid test shows I am back to normal and nothing outrageous showed up in the blood testing. But a colonoscopy is coming up and I need to make long overdue trips for mammogram and GYN checkup. , , and another !

I had the same story only it was my mother. I suffered & the siblings with child abuse ,drunkards .

I recall on mothers day,I wouldgo into the store to purchase a card & walk out empty handed.
I forgave her , before she passed on . my sister calls her evil to this day, no forgiveness.

rtetirement is too far inportant ,we plan to live in comfort .Be debt free.
its odd . our home will be ours in 3 yrs, our hemi in 3 years.Our last credit card in 3 yrs.
Roy retires in 3 years,our 5th wheel is paid off.

your family will come to respect you , or its not worth it. I have one sister ,we stop talking in aug. she has menopase so bad . I think she is losing it . she cant get along with anyone.

I am so sorry you are having to grieve your father during the holidays. It is hard enough to lose a loved one to death, but to lose them because of their own self centeredness is in someways even harder because it makes it difficult to focus on the good parts of the relationship.

I hope using this thread helped you empty out some of the hurt. May you find peace and serenity during this holiday season.

Today would have been my only full blooded sister's 48th birthday. She died 6 years ago from a blood clot in her heart in the middle of the night. She was 41. Just a month and half from her 42 birthday. I am now an only child to my mother. I do have 2 half brother's and had a half sister who committed suicide. My father keep them from me for many year's, by saying he didn't know where they lived ( bullcrap). I have now located them and have a relationship with them and their families. One in Florida and the other is in South Carolina. I so sorry to say it, but it has to be said that my father is a whore....

I don't take medication for my fibro. I take an anti inflammatory and tylenol arthritis when the pain is bad. I know diet plays a big part. You are so right it isn't necessarily the wheat it is all the processing that is causing a lot of the gluten and allergy problems. I know for one of my daughters friends it is the additives they put in the manufactured bread she makes her own and now she doesn't have any issues with gluten. I know for lactose intolerance a lot of the time it is the process they use today that is the issue for people. Do we really believe that half the population in the last ten years has become gluten or lactose intolerant really? Eat fruits, veggies and meat that have no antibiotics or growth hormones added. The meat tastes so much better. I was told organic isn't always better but if you clean your fruit and veggies really well that is enough.
Apparently Direct Energy has issued me a cheque when it is in my hands I will believe it.
My mortgage has been changed to the new bank account. We are starting the proceeding to take the apt. building to small claims court for grading the property years ago and it was city property they had no right to touch and that is what caused our retaining wall to fall. I am sending the letter to my sister telling her I am keeping the money I owe her to cover some of the loss I incurred because she wasn't honest with me about looking to buy a house. I would have had the house ready to sell or put it on the market in the spring. I wouldn't have put the new roof on the house either. When she sees that I am not paying her back I will be disowned by the family. My mother and brother don't have anything to do with my youngest sister or myself as it is. I don't miss talking or dealing with either one of them. I am at an age where I am going to decide what is best for me and the best thing is to not have to deal with those people. I do call my mother on her birthday, mothers day and Christmas and say have a good day and that is basically the end of the conversation. It works for both of us. My brother I will never talk to again and I don't think my sister will talk to me after taking her money. My daughter said it is time people learn they have to pay for their actions. They aren't kids and I have done too much for all of them for years. Now I have to think of my DH and myself for our retirement is coming fast.
I am starting to get sore so going to go get the kids beds ready. I had to get 2 of my grandchildren today the youngest one is going in for dental work tomorrow and he goes under anaesthetic. I will take them back to their dad tomorrow night and then get them again on Friday for the weekend.
Going to the house on Sunday and hopefully that will finish it off. If the freezer and microwave aren't out I will deliver them to my sister myself.
I am so glad to see so many chats keep it up. I know people will be busy during the holiday season so make sure you come and chat and if you have to let off steam, vent or just tell us your traditions and how they are going. Last year we went to a restaurant for Christmas this year I am starting a new tradition. Christmas day is going to be a quiet stay at home day and each little part of my small family can relax and just enjoy the day with their significant other, children or friends. My youngest daughter with the 3 young kids they have a nice big Christmas breakfast so they can just take their time and enjoy the day. I might just lay around and watch tv or go visit or whatever happens. My gson that lives here with us is going to his dad's for dinner and my DD that lives upstairs will do whatever her little heart desires also.
On that note going to make the kids beds and get myself comfortable for the night. Teri

Can anyone help me understand my test results ? Got them in the mail Saturday and my doctor isn't in the office til Tuesday. Just in case someone can here's what it says.

Gliadin DP IgA 0.8 Reference Range is 0.0-7.0
Gliadin DP IgG minus 0.2 Reference Range is 0.0-7.0

My number's are low so I don't know if that mean's I have Celiac Disease or not. I did a search on the web to try and find out how to read it, and it was all to confusing.

Our donated blood goes in the blood bank and they give your loved one credit so they have priority, but they get whatever matches there blood type. Anyway that is how it used to work.

I am so sorry she may have gotten some bad blood. I wonder how close they are to making synthetic blood. Hopefully, they will be able to help her.

I wonder if these gluten intolerances aren't due to all the genetically modified wheat. The older I get the less foods my stomach likes. Wheat is one of them. Could be gluten. I don't know.

Had a wonderful day. Felt 100% and got a lot accomplished.

interesting .I just found out my granddaughter in denver has been in and out of the hospital.
they did do the scope to the stomach .
they feel she is allergic to gluten .

she throws up a lot. Now she had surgery on her head as a baby . One of the doctors thinks
she got contaminated blood . causing her problems .
I thought . I gave blood for her & so others in our family . I now find out . It wasn't our blood
I think that is wrong.

I just had a package of frozen brussels sprouts (cooked of course) with 'butter' spray.

Um I had them for breakfast. At least I am getting my veggies in.

I see my fitness minutes are set at zero for Dec. I have been improving in that area but I need to push myself . I have been sleeping well in the mornings and hate to get out of bed. There are 2 water aerobics classes in the evenings so I don't totally miss the classes. chris

How to kill a character. I just heard about someone who lectures about that--but it is a fictional person in a crime novel. She was a trained pharmacist and had a hobby of lecturing to authors about meds that can be used to kill people. I loved reading the book. I read it twice, in fact. the title is The Innocence Claim.
