Hi all! I slept really well - 9 hours!! That's typical for me after a strength training day. And as is also typical, I awoke to feel every muscle that I worked - I love that feeling!! So on to another day - lots of water today and just walking since my ST workout yesterday hit everything!! Have a great day everyone!

Well I just figured out yesterday that I had to track whether or not I met the challenge myself...I guess I expected to have the tracker appraise my fruits and veggies and agree I met the 5 fruits/vegs a day or not. So now I go to the "track other goals" line on the Spark Points page and insert the info myself. I think maybe the fitness minutes are done by themself?

Awwwww well it is a new week, so jump back on the Spark Bandwagon kinda thing!!! Today I did break down and have half a bun, because tonight we are going to a bbq, and I knew we would be eating later then usual, so I had to have a bit more for lunch at work then norm!! Great on the no chocolate, I had none either, and damn near killed me, as we had huge chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing for a dessert at work!!!!! Have a good evening!!! Whats next weeks challenge going to be???

Glad to hear you did so well! This week was kinda nuts for me too - I blogged last night about "falling of the spark-wagon."

I did really well with the chocolate! I ate more bread products than I planned (hamburger buns, etc.) - but I haven't eaten an actual slice of bread. I used to rely on at least two-three sandwiches for lunch during the work week - but I didn't this week!

Ok, so no chocolate this week. I promise to try to do better this time! And I think we can choose what (in terms of bread products) we this we're ready to handle cutting out.

I'm going to try cutting out all bread products with the exception of hamburger buns and pizza dough (I make good Veggie pizza and soy burgers which I have planned as meals this week).

Good luck!

Ohhh yes I eat usually some sort of bread a day, whether it be one piece of toast in the morning, or a bun at lunch...sometimes though it turns out to be lol more then that though!! Umm I think maybe it should include any bread product, so bread, garlic toast, pita's, buns, anything made with a bread dough. But I think maybe tortilla's should be ok, what are your guys thoughts on it???

Hmmm sure I would love to pick for this next week. How about bread??? Bread is a weakness of mine, I work in my mother in laws cafe, where we make fresh bread and buns a day...some days are killer!!! I would like to make this weeks challenge, cutting bread out of our diet. What do you think????

So I was all ready to skip the potato and go for the salad our family was supposed to bring - but then they only brought potato! So I gave in.

I took your suggestion though and only ate half of the smallest potato I could find. It was less the potato I was worried about and more the sour cream, cream cheese and bacon bits they put into it. But man was it good emoticon

That would definately be a toughie for sure, but I think you can do it!!! Or you know what, if the temptation is too much for you, maybe ask one of your family if you could cut a 1/4 off there twice baked potato, that way you are really only having a mouthful, and meeting your craving. I know it is still having potato, but at least it is only a taste!!! Or is there some other food that you just love, that you could make for the BBQ, at least then you will be eating something that you just love??? Just some ideas!!

Welcome to our challenge! It's no potatoes just for this week - until the end of Sunday. This is to force us to consider other options when we'd usually go for this staple.

I've been doing good so far...I've skipped french fries twice this week and conciously cut potato out of two regular meals we make. But I'm going to be sorely tempted today. I have family bringing over twice baked potatoe for a BBQ...I don't know if I can do it emoticon

Well if you will have me, I would love to join this challenge. So no potatos for the week, or everything starchy??? I bought a cauliflower today, to steam and mash up like potatos to have with roast dinner on Sunday. Going to add a little margarine and garlic, should be pretty tasty, and I will still think I am eating the mashed taters!!!

How about potatoes? That's a staple for me (meat and potatoes) and I'd like to force myself to find substitutes.

I'd already be off to a good start (sortof) since I had a grilled chicken sandwich at macdonalds today and I chose apple slices instead of fries!

I didn't do well with the chocolate - too much outside pressure! Maybe we can try that one again.

No worries - we can only do what we can!

So, I fell off the wagon. I was at a board meeting last night and was offered a Tim-Bit (for those of you who don't have a Tim Horton's, it's the bite-size middle of a doughnut). I could have easily reached for a plain one, but my previous love of the chocolate kind had one in my hand before I realized it. Then I had to eat it because I couldn't sit there holding it! I won't lie - it tasted good.

But...this challenge has helped so far since I was snacking on a few semi-sweet chocolate chips after dinners and now I'm not!

I like this idea! Chips are a definite weakness. Sometimes I trick myself by eating the "baked" chips or the low-fat pretend chips, but I just end up eating more and it equals out to the same as regular chips.

Lets do it!

Hey, I'm new here and i am having a really challenging time eating the right things. I was wondering if we could start a challenge by not eating something or walking.. or something to keep me motivated..? In my town there is a group called "Dropping the Pounds" and what they do is one week then drop a food and no one can have it or eating out, but they have to walk almost everyday. i would like to do something like that. Is anyone interested?

I was just wondering if you could provide more information on what it entails to be a team leader. I have never done it, but I think it is something that could be very interesting! Thanks :)
