Had cottage cheese and mandarin oranges for breakfast.

Just did the BMR equation that a friend sent me, then multiplied it out to see how many cals I really should be eating. 1272 -- sounds about right. Knew I was going to be eating pizza tonight, so I tried to eat light.

EVE I probably don't eat much more that 1200 cals either, when I do keep track. I sometimes have a hard time eating the right foods and getting my cals in. WRONG food NO problem LOL.

I had my chocolate, frozen banana and almond extract shake. I really like them and when I don't have one it's that much better when I do. LOL

I had just made my choc/peanut butter/banana smoothie when the Thrift Shop called me and wondered if I could come in -- two people called in sick. I said yes, so off I went as soon as I finished drinking it.

I know 1000 to 1200 calories aren't that many, but I never kept track of calories until I turned 50+ as my weight didn't really vary that much. After my hysterectomy when I was 40 my weight did go up about 5 or 6 pounds when I began taking estrogen. But I was always tiny, wearing a size 6 or 8. It was only after we went into business for ourselves and started eating all our meals in restaurants that I gained significantly. And for me if I eat over the 1000 to 1200 I just don't lose. I still make sure to get at least 60g protein by eating yogurt and having the protein smoothie. Sometimes it is higher, but always within the recommended amounts. I'm surprised with your height that isn't true of you, also. But then, you are considerably younger than me. lol

Really Eve that's so low. Maybe you really need to increase your protein to help loose. This is going to sound crazy but sometime when I have a couple day of cheats Not like go wild I'll take a drop too. It works for me sometimes.

My usual Chocolate Mocha Shake so smooth and good.

Donna, I'm only judging it by what "I" can eat. 2 eggs puts me over on cholesterol, and I think if it was all added up it would be over 400 calories. I can't do that if I want to be below 1200 calories per day -- and really 1000 or so if I expect to lose.

I had my usual protein smoothie made with the choc/pb protein powder, etc.

Made homemade chicken soup yesterday with wild rice, asparagus, the 7-ingredient soup mix and 1 can of chicken soup (condensed) plus whatever fresh veggies I had on hand. I put it over Amber's dry dog food, plus I love it too.

Leslie, the steel cut oats sound good, but with egg whites???

Donna, if you can eat all that and still lose weight you are a better woman than I

This morning it was still cold and windy, so even though a bit more calories than I needed I had a chocolate/peanut butter protein smoothie -- even dumped in the last 1/4 cup of juice (100% cranberry/raspberry) into the mix = 361 calories

what is almond mile?

I had mine with just coffee and S/F creamer -- no milk on hand again. But it really doesn't matter, it was delicious as I love the flavor of the protein powder, so good. And thank God for always having frozen bananas in my freezer. Otherwise I'd starve.

emoticon You'll have to admit though, in a restaurant oatmeal costs WAY more than it should. I never order it there because the helping is just way more than I want.

I had no almond milk in Sun City so I made my chocolate protein smoothie with coffee and heated it up so it was more like cocoa. It was the middle of the night (3:30 a.m.) and it was kind of cold outside -- I turned on the heat.

Later in the day, about noon it was 98F -- how crazy is that?

Well, at least they are good and healthy, Donna!

Nibbled my way through the morning! A piece of cinnamon toast, a cup of coffee, a couple of fudge sticks (cookies with decent ingredients) and some fat free cottage cheese w/fruit.

Probably will not eat lunch until late, kind of a strange day interrupted by spurts of sleep. lol

I had a strawberry protein smoothie. I always use the bananas out of the freezer so it makes the drink a little colder. I like it to be cold.

Made toffee bit cookies last night after DH went to bed -- they are one of my favorites. You just use the recipe on the toffee bits (where they have the chocolate chips in the store) the only change I make is to use 1 stick of butter and 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce. And I like to add a few chopped up pecans to the mix too. Had one of those with my smoothie this morning (a little luxury).

That breakfast sounds delicious, Donna! Probably not for a work day, too much work, but perfect for the week-end. Bet hubby loved it!

I actually gain weight if I don't eat enough, and I just gained 2 pounds thanks to my cold and no appetite, so this morning I made my smoothie with almond milk (1.5 cups) fresh black berries, banana, Strawberries n' Cream protein powder, and about 1/4 or 1/3 cup of low sodium cottage cheese for extra calories and more protein. Tasted great!

I've got scalloped potatoes/ham/asparagus casserole in the oven. Topped it with a cheese sauce. Don't know why but I suddenly craved scalloped potatoes. Not my usual thing.
