I go for a walk and then stretch. I also take a small dvd player and do yoga booty ballet or pilates.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I think I was starting to panic about backsliding. Have lost 25 pounds and want to at the very least maintain that.

The thought of jumping on the hotel bed has me smiling and thinking of my grandsons favorite app - five little monkeys jumping on the bed.

And I forget about You Tube as a resource - will check it out. Plus that gives me another reason to consider finally allowing myself to get an iPad. :)

Now if my boss would make up her mind about whether we are traveling next week or not. So far she just has me exercising my frustration bones and frown muscles.

Thanks again.

Oh! I just visited YouTube and entered in the search term "Hotel room exercises."

I got plenty of returns on that, and it looks like some of them are using the bed and the other furniture in the room. Maybe viewing some of those will also give you some ideas!

Looks like fun!

LOL I just LOVE the light bouncing on the bed suggestion! LOL

Another thing that sounds like it could be fun:

A long time ago I saw a video of Jamie Eason doing a hotel room workout using a deck of cards and only body weight exercises. (I'll list it below.) However, I can tell you that I may not always be willing to do everything she demonstrated. So what you COULD do is change up the body weight exercises to ones that you choose for yourself.

Here's Jamie's workout:

--(Joker counts as one or eleven; your choice)
--Turn cards over 3 at a time.
--Add the numbers to equal the number of reps you will do for each exercise.
--Do the exercises in the order shown.
--When you finish the list, go thru them again & you will have finished the deck.

1. Squat Jumps
2. Jumping Jacks
3. Jumping Lunges
4. High Knees
5. Mountain Climbers
6. Butt Kicks
7. Push Ups
8. Jumping Jacks
9. Bicycles or Crunches

= = 8 minutes 13 seconds = =

Good luck on your conferences, and if you choose to, come back and let us know how you did with your exercises!!!

How about doing some jumping jacks and packing a skipping rope. Most hotel rooms have enough room to do either. And how about very carefully doing a light rebound bounce standing on the bed - usually hotel room beds are pretty firm, not the most practical but even a minute or so at a time will help. Turn on some music or the TV, and walk back and forth in front of the beds and through the hallway in your room - it works. If you want to do some strength training, SP has all kinds of exercises that do not require any equipment at www.sparkpeople.com/resource/exercis

. Resistance bands take up little room in your luggage.

Business trips are usually quite busy, but any movement you can get in will help. Where there's a will, there's a way!

I have two business trips coming up each being 3-5 days via air. So, taking my rebounder is not practical.

Starting to have concern about missing my daily 10 minutes of rebounding that I have kept going since the beginning of 2013. Would appreciate suggestions on alternate exercises which can be done in a hotel room. Do not have hotel reservations yet so do not know availability of a gym.

Thanks for any suggestiions/help.
