My dearest friend @PROVERBS31JULIA

Recently I went to a local thrifting store. It used to be "everything for a dollar" one, but recently it changed. Go figure. Well I'm not at all ashamed I saw this for sale there and IMMEDIATELY thought of you! LOL!

Yes, in their "exercise" department (barely a 3 square foot area of shelf) they had a pouch you wear around your waist to put your cell phone into while exercising! wow, hm?!

Okay, I was so excited by this one! It is so "do-able" for me any way, that I did it as soon as I saw the video was posted to my "recommended for you" feed on YouTube. It is 4 minute of Tabata using the "bed" of your rebounder to do a core workout. This guy does it with the same exercise over and over for each round. I can picture too switching it up with Knee to Elbows, and leg lifts, besides just the crunches. Works without getting on the floor.

Should I start a new thread - goo-gaws to hold our phones and fitbits and whatnot so they "count" while we hang onto our bars for dear life??

The yoga pocket pant (not something I would be caught dead wearing in public...)

Ummm welll I might consider wearing the PURPLE ones in public, with a tunic top suitably long enough to cover the girlybits....about down to the knees ....

Or a pocket do-dad to velcro onto your shoes (for us shoe-wearing rebounders)?

(wish they came in more colors?? but there's lots with similar features...)

I might consider something like this to clip to my pants and have iPhone in it to count steps, and it might hold both the iphone and the fitbit. That way I can doubledip on step tracking (some of my walking game apps don't sync with FitBit, only with Apple Watch, so it's like I have to have both. SparkPeople syncs with Fitbit). Then I could use my hands to hang onto the bar for dear life. Or even to just pump my arms without worrying that sweaty hands will make my phone slip...
- The Running Buddy (and if you look elsewhere under Running Buddy link, they have smaller sizes cheaper).

Well.. it's blood drive day now, in about 9.5 hours, so I need to scamper upstairs and get some sleep. Will be later before I can actually get back online....

ah...we should sew you a pouch or get you a fanny pack to put that step counter in! lol

i've been having issues lately with balance and i'm so glad, now, that i don't have much room in my room for my workout home gym so that my heavy bag is right behind my rebounder. it has been catching me so i don't fall. perhaps i should use that bar too (but I don't--same reason) step counter is on my wrist--doesn't count steps if you hang on!

EO - it occurred to me after watching some different videos you had linked to a few years ago that I could use the "handle" that comes with my rebounder as a way to hang on for dear life while I exercised a bit harder then I would when I am just hopping along with my hands holding my phone (so that my "steps" get counted, etc.). I usually don't use it because I think I might break it...

This SP article gives all of the benefits of doing Tabata and it is one of the MOST well documented with studies articles I've ever seen here on SP. I love it when they document their findings!

Oh! I'm so excited about this video! It works for me just the way it is BUT it also works in so many other ways to switch it up. I would recommend doing a warm up off the rebounder or the health bounce to warm up before starting this video.

Other exercises which would work: Doing the "health bounce" for the "rest" periods to recover and then doing full out what ever you want (freestyle rebounding): Jumping jacks, high knees, twists, running, with/without arms, etc. for the "work" portions as the sound track so clearly calls out when to work our best efforts and when to rest for that full tabata effectiveness
