Long way to go to arrive at goal - but find that SC is a great deal. Signed up for a year. Seems a steal for less than the cost of one session with a "trainer" who provides the same info. Glad to support SP too.

With 30 pounds to lose by Christmas, I need the extra motivation SparkCoach provides. Loved the free trial - so glad I didn't have to provide a credit card until I decided to. Signed up for a year.

I went from the 7-day trial to the year. I'm looking for nuggets. Early in my career I was advised that if I got one good idea from a conference, the conference had paid for itself. I also want to support SP -- whether or not I use the Coach, SP has helped me tremendously!

I like Spark Coach and learn many things step by step. So far it is helping me stay on track and not loose my way. At 64.5 it is harder to maintain the activity level I am working toward and Spark Coach and the tracker really help me keep pushing forward. emoticon emoticon emoticon

When you go to sparkcoach, if you haven't signed up yet, it tells you what day you are on, and how long you have left on the free trial. If you want to check the cost, you click on where it says you want to keep spark coach and that takes you to the page with the different breakdowns of cost. emoticon

I'm on the third stage of SC and I love it. It motivates me everyday to get up and get moving. It also reminds me of when I get off track and need to change something. I've learned a lot of good tips that I would never have thought of. I will probably continue once I am done because it helps me so much.

The SparkCoach Program has been a blessing in my life..
SparkCoach Diet program is a great motivator to eat properly. Losing weight has usually been a slow process for me. I need help to remain focused.
I'm motivated daily from SparkCoach's check-in's. Winter has always been difficult for me. Loading up carbs and watching TV have been common "activities". Because of SparkCoach I have continued to exercise throughout the past 4 months and to eat more sensibly despite the longest and coldest winter in 50 years.
Cheers to the coming of spring! Better sooner than later.

I look forward to the SparkCoach daily! It helps to keep me on track, educates and motivates me. Sometimes it is repetitive but it helps to have the information repeated. I may have missed something the first time around. I would most likely continue with it when my subscription ends. It is helpful! I haven't emailed a coach and haven't had direct contact with anyone that works on this sight. It would be nice to be acknowledged but their are so many people that probably will never happen.

I love the SparkCoach SparkDiet program. I have found it really helpful.

Today I was feeling really down and having a hard time motivating myself to take my daily walk. I emailed SparkCoach and received a message back right away. You can email a coach once a week with a question.

The program has really helped me navigate the SparkPeople site better.
I think that if you stick with it you will really like it.

Have a lovely day,

Dawn

i wasn't very happy with my 'sparkcoach' video today. did not feel like it was very inspiring , basically just repeated what the difference between a life style choice and a diet. No action plan at the end of the short video. i am not positive that the sparkcoach is really giving that much back? signed up for a year, hopefully it will get better.

I signed up for a year, also. I was motivated by the savings and 2 free DVD's that they offered. That was about a month ago and haven't seen the DVD's yet. Have you gotten yours?

Clothes motivate me, too. I know that I will not reach my ultimate goal after a year, but I can set smaller goals to reach along the way. I am committed to my health for the long term. I have lost weight many times in the past but it always came back plus more. This time I am sticking with my program even after the weight loss so that I can maintain my new slim, trim figure. I don't want to have to go through all this work just to gain the weight back again.

I did the trial version first. When I signed up, I guess, I was enrolled in that as part of becoming a new member (again for the second time). So, I just went along with it to see how it was structured and worked. I thought the daily visualizations don't really resonate with me that much--what motivates me more is all of the smaller sized clothes I can get this spring and summer (I am a fashionista from birth--if I could have talked I would have had coordinating diapers with diaper pins emoticon ) so I will go ahead and continue doing it although seeing waterfall doesn't "turn me on" as much as flipping through some of the new spring catalogs and circling what I want to buy. "To each his own". emoticon

I understand the concern for paying for this service. I ran it by my hubby and he said as long as it didn't take away from paying one of our bills, he was okay with it. By paying for the full year, I also saved 50% off of the by-month cost--something that those who are wondering if they can afford it might consider. So, now, I am set for 365 days and, God willing, by that time I should either be at my end goal weight or darn near close to it.

I look forward to getting know all of you for the next year. Good luck on your weight loss journey and I am glad to be a part of your Team.

Pam

Don't worry if you miss a day Spark Coach will pick up where you left off. You can also go back and see a previous day if you need to. It is very user friendly. There are no stern messages or emails. It's always a positive message so you can feel good about doing what you need to do to be healthy and lose weight. It gently guides you through the learning phases. It is very helpful. And you get Spark Points!!! Have fun!

I've been good at logging in and posting each day, so I still can't comment on what happens if you miss a day BUT I really like the way the messages after I've rated my prior day actually pertain to what's going on - whether it is basically woo girl-way to exercise or a don't beat yourself up message when I didn't have such a good day. I'm just finishing up my second week of SparkCoach and am so glad I signed up for the year.

I signed up for the 1 year program after the first 2 days of the trial. I just like the program so much, I like how they offer a short session daily and you track your motivation and how well you are sticking to your program. I am sure to log in every single day. I think that is how its keeping me accountable. you get small steps and can more forward at a pace that offers small changes over time wile you are learning how to be better and treat yourself better through diet and exercise. the daily visualizations are probably may favorite part. I really think it is worth the money to sign up for all the reasons I have mentioned and more.

Interesting to see the word accountability being used so much as that is something that I'm looking for as well. Just curious (since I just started) how SparkCoach "enforces" that - in other words does something happen if I skip a day or days. Do I get stern email reminders, special tasks to help determine how I went off track?

I just finished the trial period yesterday and signed up for 1 yr. This is going to be a long term project and I like the direction and the accountability of the program.

I like that when I check in each morning I get re focused for the day. One of my favorite things is the daily visualization exercise. That is something that I wouldn't think to do on my own.

I've just signed for 3 months. I decided that the commitment of actually paying money out for something will make me more accountable. There was a groupon deal this week for WeightWatchers which I almost had instead, but I'm not the sort of person who can eat certain recipes because they are on the WeightWatchers plan, I prefer to invent my own, and just count the calories instead (and have a small portion if it's very calorific!)

I began with the week's trial and immediately bought a subscription for a few months of coaching.. I live alone and this will make me accountable as it seems more personal, I am a retired teacher and find it a relief to have choices and individual guidance.
i have been overweight all my life and have reached the obesity mark during the past ten years. I made up mind to lose the weight and my Dr. has given me a goal where I'll be healthy and able to get off a few meds. When I reach his goal, I'll reconsider with him.
A big thank you SparkPeople and Chris Downey! An emoticon organization.

I love the coaches and being able to ask questions (wish it were more than once a week).

Yes, I'm glad that I have joined SC for the year. I have been with SP a long time but have had
the habit of losing all my weight and putting it all back on again, and I've man emoticon aged to do that
by just focusing on the scales and cals in. This time I hope to lose it and keep it off, and I'm going to do that by doing it the SC way and not my own.

I paid for the full year. Just bit the bullet and did it. I am so glad I did. The accountability has helped me stay on track and the information always seems right on target for what I am going through. I do wonder if 6 months down the road I will be bored, or if they will add some new videos etc. I am almost finished with my 4th week of Spark Coach, I think it just repeats after that. Either way, I figure I can support SP after all the free program that is offered is worth my support in a few of their side projects. Most places charge 19 to hundreds of dollars per month for what we get for free here. What can I say.....I love me some sparkpeople emoticon

I paid for the year and if for no other reason that the spark has been here for me for years. I plan to use it, but even if I didn't I am so grateful for this place, these people and this program. It's been a godsend to be able to figure out the actual nutritional value of dishes. It's such a blessing. I use what I have learned here every day and I paid and I hope to get even more out of the sparkpeople site.

Liked the SparkCoach but have decided to drop out and join a Challenge instead. I found the SparkCoach to be really helpful when I spent time following up on the suggestions and information. But I am not spending enough time on it for the cost. Also, since I have been on it for about 6 months, it is getting a little repetitive. I love the coach videos.

I had started the free trial last May, cancelled about half way through and just recently rejoined SparkCoach. I was not given a yearly payment option, mine is monthly. Not sure why they changed.

I am enjoying the morning "focused" time on SparkCoach and will continue as long as it is helping me.

It is a difficult decision for me . I do like the sparkcoach program and yet I really do not have the funds.. I still haven't decided if I can make it work within my budget. May have to give it for now
