Hi ladies,

Mandy, sorry about your bad day yesterday. I have been having a difficult day at work today too. What is it about this week? Also, you asked about exercise - I slept through my alarm this morning :(. And as soon as I woke up, I thought about having to answer to this group for not working out! So tonight, I'll do my DVD.

LawandMusic, glad you're joining in to our daily check ins. Nice to see you here!

Lisa, my heart goes out to you. You are so dedicated and inspirational - I hope you know that. I would highly recommend not filling the prescription for phentermine. I had my first gynecologist put me on it, and by the third day I had such horrible heart palpitations, followed by three months of continued heart palpitations and extremely high blood pressure. It may be different for you, but I wanted you to know about it. Your food choices sound awesome, though! I HATE when judges go the opposite way that they should.

Mandy, sorry you had a rough day yesterday. It sounds like you allowed yourself to calm down and relax, only to recharge 100% the next day. You are such an inspiration.

Bobbi, hope the new job is going well.

LawandMusic, what a busy day you have ahead. Good luck!

Today was day one of trying to balance fat with protein. I did a good job of it this morning with 1/2 an avocado, 2 eggs, some cheese, and center cut bacon. It was well into the 500 calorie range though, so the rest of the day I'll have to keep my portions small. I just take so many friggin' supplements that I have to get in a big breakfast. If I don't, I'll be sick to my stomach.

Lunch will be a hamburger patty with some mayo. Dinner will probably be corned beef and cabbage with some olive oil for extra fat. This is if I'm hungry at these times. She said only eat when I'm hungry. Here I was eating a little bit every few hours to get my metabolism going. Who knows what's "right" or "wrong". I'm just following her advice to a T so that I can get some solid answers in the (hopefully near) future.

I didn't fill the prescription for phentermine. I'm still on the fence about it. I want my lab tests to be as accurate as possible. I'm afraid the phentermine will mess with my metabolism and could skew the accuracy of the results. Plus, I have no problem with restricting my calories on my own.

The case I'm currently researching should have been a slam dunk. However, the judge (who seems inexperienced in collection law) is making my boss write another brief to further our position. I'm doing the research for him. There is no case on point. I'm doing my best to come up with some logical argument for us.

I hope everyone has a happy Wednesday.

WOW. I have a whirlwind of hearings this week (24), but none that are particularly difficult.

However, since I filed FOUR permanent custody cases, and all together, there and 13 parents involved, and their counsel, it is going to be a busy and contentious couple of months.

I, too, love it when the courthouse is full of attorneys, even if it means they are in the courtroom with me. MUCH better than pro se litigants!

Good morning ladies!

Had a rough afternoon yesterday in court. Came home, took a xanax, drank a beer and napped on the couch for over an hour. Even ditched my dinner plan and ordered pizza. Woke up early for an amazing run and feel like a new woman! YAY!!

Will have a busy day today (several plea hearings), but not nearly the drama of yesterday. I like days like today where the courthouse is full of lawyers and people and we are all busy.

Lisa - It seems to me like she at least understands now and is going to try to find a solution. Try to be hopeful that you have someone who is working for you rather than thinking that you are just lying.

Bobbi - How was the workout? I used to joke that on mornings I didn't workout and had to get up at 6, I felt like I was sleeping in - lol!

I'll make it to the moon, if I have to crawl.
