Hi Frankiebun,
Wow! that is quite a tale you have to tell. You are brave and growing stronger. It is tough to deal with so many health and family issues at one time. SparkPeople is a great place for multiple levels of support. I have not been on as much as I'd like, but I am here. Working at trying to lose again after back surgeries and finishing up a round of physical therapy.

One step at a time. I lost, then regained too. And am sitting between 206 and 209 at the moment, and have much to lose. I put on after my back surgery in 2011, after losing quite a bit.

Count your food, measure yourself too, because not all loss occurs in lbs, often inches go first.

I had an RNY 4/2003. I did very well and went from 300 ->140 in 2.5 years. Starting in late 2005 I was hospitalized for nearly a year then because of a vulvus, ruptured intestine, sepsis, necrotic intestine, dehydration and malnutrition. My weight dropped to 98 and I was living on TPN and had an illiostomy for 9 months. I finally was sent to a high-risk surgeon and he stitched back together what what left. I was given no aftercare, no post-op diet.

I suffered a lot of trauma and depression from that ordeal. Eating was iffy and I was so drained exercising seemed ridiculous. I stayed at 160 for several years. My husband quit working (no reason ever given). I then entered a toxic work situation, my depression worsened, and I creeped up to 180. In 2014 I was fired from my job, and my depression reached an all time low. I have finally gotten into some effective mental health care and sit at 225. I'm trying to regain sanity and just focus on healthy eating and exercising. I'm 1 week into SparkPeople. Thank you for reading my story.

I'm sorry, I guess this should have gone under introduce yourself. My first time posting.
