Good morning. Another cool morning and we got about 4 or 5 inches of snow yesterday. My maple tree that is on the boulevard had its branches drooping down and touching the sidewalk the snow was so heavy. Thank goodness they are coming back up this morning. I was afraid they would break. We are supposed to get another 6 inches tonight and tomorrow with wind and blowing snow. We have a storm warning. This is just too early for this to start. I do see some days next week with sunshine and 30ís so maybe it will melt some or all the way. Yesterday was a fairly good day. I walked about 10 minutes and 4,161 total steps for the day. I did get my laundry done and a few other little things. Rick was over and started the snow blower to make sure it works. Today I get my flu shot so I am happy about that. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Wed/hump day morning to everyone....It is sort of dreary out there as it rained most of the night...It is 46 and going to get to the middle 50's once again...

Today I go for my last PT session. I don't think she will say that I need anymore...If so, I am going to decline as the virus is really starting to get bad here. She has two sons in school and a hubby that is a fireman....Too many places that she could either get the virus or carry the virus...

Yup, Rick does qualify for the asthma shots. Good news in one way, but than to know it is that bad...well, at least he is here in the states and our family dr is doing a great job getting to the bottom of all of this....His pulmonary is our dr as well...I guess something good has come out of this darn virus and he had to stay in the states and finally figure out why he was getting out of breath so easily and so tired all of the time....He can still work from home here for sometime yet. I wonder if he will ever want or be able to go back over there. We have to see what all of these tests come up with. He does know that his health is more important than the darn money....

Rick, Said he is going to come over today to get his paper work that came here about the shots and his absentee ballot as well. Maybe we will ask them to help get St Francis and the picnic table put away than too....We could really do it...but they wanted to do it to help us out...Our Dr wants to do a CT scan of his stomach too as she has done one on his chest already....That is the problem of being over in Afghanistan and really no medical at all....

Mr Ken was back out in the garage yesterday. He is having so much fun making his/my truck....He has the back on it now and is starting to work on the fenders and bumper next. I have these really cool nuts on the outside of the wheels..Of course I need them LOL I am so glad that I figured out a project for him to do. He has all of these great tools out there and might as well use them now that his back is better.

Peggy, Oh my, Adin is going to be 17 already!!! Where does the time go anyway?

Joyce, I sure hope that the computer problems are getting under control now...That has to be so hard on all of you...

Good morning,
It's still dark here. I don't know if it's going to be sunny or not!! LOL!
Peggy, oh my goodness, it's hard to believe Adin is 17. I know you're aching to hug him!! I'm so happy you'll get to really soon!!
Joyce, oh my, what a mess with the computer! I hope it's taken care of now. I know the schools are scrambling to do all that they need to to help all the people at home. But, some things are just beyond understanding. I have a friend who works as an administrator in the school dist office here and she's chasing her own tail most days. She said it's unbelievably chaotic and frustrating. So, she definitely enjoys her glass of wine in the evening!
Liz, it sounds like you're having some very nice fall weather. I agree with you, the snow is beautiful but, please no ice.
Merri, I know you're so happy to have Rick home for another 3 months. And what a nice thing that his insurance will pay for the shots. I remember when he came home a few years ago and then got antsy and went back. Do you think he'll ever return to Afganastan again? Or just keep working from the states? So happy to hear the PT is going so well. I don't blame you for doing all you can do, for as long as you can.
Gwyn, did you get snow yesterday? The weatherman just said his sis in Minneapolis got 8 inches of snow yesterday.
Kathryn, that's a great success story. 20 to 8. Way to go!! All that walking and peddling are doing the job.
Annie, I envy you being able to sit and enjoy the ocean. I love being around water. If I could afford it I think I'd move to one of the coasts.
I have the Y girls picnic today. We're going to be in the park today. May be the last day. We'll see. My friend who shops for me sometimes, went to Walmart for me last night, so, I didn't have to go. The Covid numbers are going up all around us so, I think it's time to stay home more.
Everyone have a great day.

Really late on here today but wanted to stop and say hello.....might not catch everyone but know I'm thinking of all of you!

Sharon, you can keep the snow! LOL We had such a gorgeous sunset here tonight. Just glowed orange.

Annie, I hope you had a great time today and did get to enjoy the ocean a bit! Brenda has been dropping hints to Jim she'd like to go to Myrtle this weekend for some "beach therapy,:

Merri, that's awesome Rick's insurance will pay for the shots and I know you are happy to have him stateside that much longer.

Trudy, I'm not even sure what Andrea's position is right now - she stepped down from store manager to work fewer closing shifts and less hours but that hasn't worked out so well yet!

Kathryn that's an AMAZING drop in size - WOW!!

Peggy, I can't believe Adin will be 17! Time sure flies! You may need to take a step stool along to give him a hug! LOL

Rough morning with the schooling. Brenda had forgotten to email me the weekend newsletter that tells what the kids need for the week, so I was scrambling trying to get what she needed for this morning! Andrea took the computer to the school when she was done and they ended up giving her a different one. So hopefully the issues will be cleared up. Brenda was trying to get it set up for tomorrow and it said that it had to be logged in the first time on the school's computer system. Now, wouldn't you think the school would have known that and had it done? Well, Jim and Brenda took a drive over by the school and managed to pick up their wi-fi signal and got it done that way. LOL I have everything organized now for the rest of the week, so hopefully tomorrow will be better. I'm really not liking this a lot, but Adalyn is doing a wonderful job!! Then today my friend Kim in Ohio said she got a call that a student sitting next to her son in class has covid so now her son is in quarantine for two weeks, so that reminds me of why we're doing this!!

Zone 4: Mission #3 Wednesday

Dear Friends, Wednesday is Anti-procrastination Day. We are going to straighten up the floor of your closet! Are the shoes piling up and you can't find two shoes that are a like? Do you think you have too many shoes? While you are lining up your shoes; pick two pair to give away or throw away.

The next time you are looking for the pair of shoes that match your outfit, you will smile because you will be able to find them without getting down on your hands and knees. This will put another smile on your face and keep your hair from getting messed up.

That is great news about Rick

Today I went to midtown to pick up a med and than went to the Goodwill thrift store, walked for an hour. I wore a pair flowered jeans that I could not fit in before. I posted a photo on C-feed, from size 20 to size 8.

Hi my Hands in Motion was great fun today and I even got some headway on a couple of projects. Now if I would just finish some of them.

Tomorrow is Adin's 17th birthday.

I can't wait to get up to NY and give him a hug.

That's great news Merri that the insurance will pay for the shots

Our Rick got good news today. His insurance will pay for the very expensive asthma shots that he needs. He will get a shot each month for at least 3 months. Than he will be given a pen like a epi pen that he can give himself the shots each month.....This way it keeps him from having to go back to Afghanistan for at least three months or longer....He said the virus is really bad over there right now.....His blood work is showing that more than likely he had the virus coming back from Italy a year ago last summer....He can work his job right here from the states as long as he needs to.... He got his absentee ballot in the mail today as well....all is good now

It is Tuesday and we are cool and cloudy. We are expecting 3 to 5 inches of snow today so looks like winter is starting early. More snow again on Thursday and sounds like it could be a storm with wind and more snow. I hate when October starts off with snow because it sure can make for a very long winter if it doesnít melt off and warm up a little. It will be what it will be. Yesterday turned into a slow day. I started out doing some laundry and then it just seemed like things came up and I didnít get anything done. I had a total of 3,351 steps for the day. I guess it will be laundry day today and hope I donít get distracted, Hailley slept through the night so it was a good one for me too. That sure helps. Hope we all have a great day.

Good Tues morning...It is cloudy and 41 out there. It is suppose to get to the middle 50's....

I don't think there is much going on here today. But than, you never know with Mr Ken....

Yesterday we did stop at Culvers and use our buy one get one free for a chicken sandwich and than some french fries....We always just get water than....There was only one other older couple sitting inside, so we did as well....They were way in one corner and we were in the other corner....

My PT is going great! Tomorrow should be my last day. The gal is really surprised how strong my arms are. That I hang clothes out some times four times a week and that I cut our grass....I am going to do things like that as long as I can for sure....

Today I am going to make a stew as Mr Ken wants to get out in the garage as he missed Sun and yesterday...I can handle this one LOL

Trudy, We haven't been in Walmart since I got my new glasses in Feb. We order on line from there. All of our vitamins, hair dye, deorderant, and other things like that....

We did go into Sams yesterday now for the first time. Mr Ken loves his Bounty paper toweling and we like to stock up just for winter, not because of the darn virus....

Annie, That was so great you getting $100!!! That happened to us yrs ago at the Golden Corral....I had mentioned that we find a family that could really us some help paying for school supplies by our anniversary and instead of us going out for a meal....we used the money to pay for one family's school supplies....It it was 45 yrs, we used $45 and so on....This man heard us telling our friends that we had done that right before we came for lunch...he came over to our table and gave us a $100 bill to help a few more families with their school supplies

Good morning,
It's cloudy and gloomy here this morning, but, I', NOT complaining, Around Des Moines, IA they got 9 inches of snow yesterday! Yikes! NO THANK YOU!! I'm sure not ready for anything like that!!
Rose, there were a lot of field fires around here last week one day also. One of my husband's cousins farms not far from me and they kept all updated on FB. One of their pictures was on the evening news. It was scary. I heard about a fire that was 7 miles long. That may have been the one near you.
Janet, it's so nice that you're making encouraging cards for the people at your dad's place. It's always nice for people in nursing homes to get cards, etc.
Joyce, Andrea is in management, isn't she? I know some businesses want their managers to see how each shift works. That may explain the crazy schedule. But, it sure is hard on a person, especially people with small children. She's lucky to have her family to help. I hope the school thing gets ironed out. You knew you'd be going back to school too, just not be as frustrated!!
Liz, it sounds like you have a great day planned. Nice weather too. Enjoy your book club book.
Annie, what a nice Godwink moment. You were definitely in the right spot at the right time. Way to go!! Did you have fun being at the casino? I know how much you like them. I hope it was fun on top of the nice thing that happened.
Everyone have a fantastic day.
I'm going to Walmart for a few things if it clears up. Nothing is so important that I need to go out if the weather is icky.

Hi Everyone....

Mmmmm, bagels for Peggy, Culvers for Merri.

Annie I am SO excited for you being handed that blessing!!! A true Godwink moment!!

Peggy, I haven't crocheted anything in awhile - will pick it up again one of these days. I do it in spurts. LOL

Sounds like a lot of reading going on.

Gwyn, hope your difficulties iron out soon!

Trudy, isn't it sad to be putting away the things for winter. I heard some Michigan areas had snow flurries this morning?? Yes, I would sure love to see Andrea have better, more consistent hours! Unfortunately with the health issues, Andrea has to stay put for now. It's like she was off today, works 2 till midnight tomorrow, 11-7 Wed., 8 AM till 3 on Fri and then 6 AM till 2 or 3 on Sat!! It's like that every week - no rhyme or reason!

Liz, that's also sad after enjoying the beauty of the fall foliage and then they fall off and everything seems so bare, doesn't it??

Sharon, I sure don't envy you the below zero temps! I don't miss that at all!! Hopefully it will be awhile before that happens!!

Janet, that is so sweet that you do the cards for your Dad's place! I'm sure they are SO appreciated! Bless you!

Rose, that had to be scary having such a large fire that close!! Glad you're OK!

Hope everyone gets a good nights rest and you all have a great day tomorrow. Back to the school grind here - now they've launched a new zoom meeting and supposed to start a new K12 program. Make up their minds already!!

Hello all I am glad you are here and thank you for all the help you have given me to lose 50 pounds but I still need your help daily. I face food addiction every day. I am handling it as best I can but it is hard when our caregivers give us food or need to go to McDonald's for coffee every time we go out shopping. I was good today and just had a Diet Coke from McDonalds.

Hubby had s good night last night and did not need me until 8am. He was fine to be left alone while our caregiver took me off shopping at two different Goodwill. Wednesday when she comes back we are going to a one the next city over

Trudy the watermelon was super sweet hubby and I both agreed it was as good as ice cream which we have not gotten in some time.

Dear Friends: Today is the day to attack the clothes pile. Now you all know what I am talking about. This pile is either on a chair, on top of the hamper, dresser or at the foot of your bed. Set your timer for 15 minutes and grab some hangers or start folding. While you are doing this do not hang up or fold something that you hate! This is the time to let it go!! If you do not love it, send it right out the door!

Good afternoon. A massive field fire a good mile east of us happened yesterday. Fire was 7 miles long and 4 miles wide. 10,000 acres. Fire jumped 6th Ave and IL 185. One house destroyed and one fire fighter injured.

Good morning all!

LIzzie, I'm interested in hearing about your book. This month my book club is readingThe Giver of the Stars by Jojo Moyes. I haven't gotten it yet, but it looks like a good one.

Gwyn, I'd be interested in hearing about what you learn from your book.

Annie, Amazing story about your blessing! Who would ever think someone would give away $100 to some random person? You were in the right place at the right time

Peggy, I'm a knitter too. I just finished a sweater for my great nephew except the last 2 inches on one sleeve and I ran out of yarn! I can get some more but cost $7.95 to ship or a 50 minute car ride to store. I may take the car ride and go on a little adventure. I haven't been down to Monterey since last March and quarantining. There county has more Covid cases and is more shut down than we are.

Merri, what a blessing that you and in-laws could take care of grandkids until age 12. So wonderful for grandkids, you and your kids!

Today is my day to write cards I made last week to send to my Dad's place. I include an encouraging quote or a riddle each week. If anyone has any good ones, please share.

Morning/Afternoon All! I woke up way too early again but fell back asleep for a few hours. Thank heaven! Sunny and 64 here!

The leaves have turned and are starting to fall - a little early this year.

Today I plan to start my new book - "Have You Seen Luis Velez?" by Catherine Ryan Hyde. The reviews are very good. I'll let you know!

Trudy I am working on lots of projects I am halfway finished with my second fisherman's knit afghan, I'm half way thru a baby afghan (second one) for our new great grandchild and I am just sewing together a granny square poncho that I made out of mercerized cotton. I have been copying it from a friends poncho.

I coat the tilapia with Panko bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese in equal amounts with garlic powder to taste. I sprinkle olive oil over it.

I cook it at 400 for 9 minutes on each side.

Good morning. It is 27 degrees right now but will get cooler as the sun comes up. We are supposed to be cloudy today and maybe some wind. I will not be working outside. I have plenty to do inside. Yesterday was a quiet day and I rested. It seems like getting up during the night with Hailley takes its toll on me and I am tired during the day. Breathing was not good yesterday so knew enough to take it easy. I am ready to get moving today. Hope we all have a great day. I did have a total of 3,275 steps for the day.

When I start seeing the -20's and -30s below zero F. I will know it is winter. LOL.

Good morning:

I had a fun time with SIL,,I drove us to the casino in WA.. as they had a "free" spin day.. but this is the blessing I got !!

setting at a machine , where I still could see my SIL ,, a guy came up toward me,, and said
" GOD told him to be a blessing to someone today",, and he handed me a $100 bill,, and said,, "there is your blessing "
I was in SHOCK.. he started to walk away,, I go,, PRAISE the Lord !! thank you...

my SIL said,,what was that guy talking to you about?? I showed her the $100 bill,, and told her what he said ..." A blessing from GOD"..
then I go,, is this a real $100 bill ? she said,, put it in the machine,,if it takes it,, then it is.. and YES,, I put it in,, and cashed it out right away !!

for Kevin,, he was a great "stepdad" to his first wifes' kids.. wonderful.. but when they got divorced,, she wouldn't let him nor us ,, see or talk to the kids,, and I think since those kids were 9--11-- 12 yrs,, he's never had a baby to be a dad too.. He's going to be a great dad.. maybe spoil little "Amelia" to much.. LOL

Good morning dear friends out there....it is only 35 here right now with the beautiful sun shinning tho. They say we are only going to get to around 45!!! Wow, I might have to find a long sleeve top for today....

I have a hunch that today we might be stopping by Culvers after my PT today at 10:30. It is right on our way back home...Too convenient not to take advantage to that....Mr Ken wants to get back into the garage to work on his little red truck as he took yesterday off...

So, we brought the "watermelon" cake over to our DD's for her 60th birthday! When we put it on the little bench by the door...she than came out and got it...I could tell by looking at her that she thought it might be a bit heavy for a cake LOL....Than she looked at the side of the container and seen her Watermelon!!!! What a great surprise for her....It was such a gloomy rainy morning and she just started to cry with excitement....Oh boy, I didn't mean for her to cry tho.....

Our SIL will retire on the 21st and our DD will retire on the 31st...Both just turned 60...Have the house they are living in now all paid for and a new house in St Petersburg FL almost all paid for.....They got married at 19 and have their first child 6 yrs later...Great planning all of the way around. Oh yes, than the second child two yrs later. Each week they would put away the money that they would have spent for childcare as we and the other grandma watched the kids till they were 12....or so....

Joyce, It still sounds like you all had a nice afternoon any. I had seen where your team had lost yesterday as well..

Trudy, We have left our two little chairs out on our front porch as well. Mr Ken has the other two chairs yet in his garage too, I see where he sits on them when he needs a rest...

Picnic table and St Francis will get put away when Rick and Lisa come next time...They said around Halloween....

Kathryn, You are so organized with your eating and getting your steps in. GREAT job!!! Here you are with your hubby in a wheel chair, but, you look at the glass half full and try to do the best that you can each day....I love it...

Trudy, It sounds like you are getting the weather that we had here yesterday. So sorry for that. It as really gloomy here yesterday.....

The mean neighbor's girlfriend hasn't been staying there over night now for over a week or more....She seems to come around 10 and leaves around 2 or so......I think she finally got it LOL...

Good morning,
Rainy and gloomy here today. It's 42 and only going to get to 51. The weatherman said a "raw" day. He's right.
Peggy, enjoy the craft time with your daughter and cousin. Sounds like a good time. What are you working on? Tilapia sounds really good. How do you fix it? I usually put Old Bay on it and saute it.
Joyce, it sounds like you had a very pleasant day. I'll be happy for Andrea when she gets something that has better hours. Her hours sure are all over the place. I don't think I've seen either of those movies either. Did you enjoy them?
Liz, I missed that video somehow. I'll go look for it.
Sharon sounds like you're almost settling into winter. Brrrr....
Gwyn, I'll be interested to see what the book you're reading has to say. I'm sorry to hear you're having marital problems. I hope it's temporary. All relationships have ups and downs.
I'll keep you in my prayers.
Merri, I hope you have something fun to do today. Watermelon does sound good. I haven't even seen any for so long. I don't know if I could find one this time of year or not.
Kathryn, your day sounds good. I hope you got better sleep last night. Did you enjoy your watermelon?
Annie, a girl's day sounds good. What did you and your sil do? As excited as Kevin is about his baby I don't see how he could not be a good day.
I rolled up the second rug on the deck and put it in the garage and covered the grill. I'll put the chairs away next week. This week there will be some warm weather. I might be able to sit out on the deck a couple more times.
I have a mammogram this morning.
Everyone have a great day.

Good morning!! We're off for our walk and then we are going to the library to drop off our ballot.

After that it's time to drive over to Bagel King to pick up our two weeks worth of Bagels!!

I'm going to a House Party craft night tonight with Jennifer and my cousin Beverly's daughter Carol.

They are always fun.

Yes Joyce I was the one who made the pumpkin chili and it was delicious. The Tilapia was great last night too. We got the frozen kind last month because it was buy one get one free and they taste good.

Have a great day

Brrrr on the 27 degrees Sharon! Hope you were able to do what you wanted today.

Janet. let me know how you like the pumpkin chili. Peggy, weren't you the one who also tried that recently??

Kathryn, isn't it funny how someone talking about something makes us want it. Trudy talked about stuffed peppers and I wanted some. Peggy is talking about tilapia so that is going on my next grocery list! LOL Hope you get better rest tonight and I'm sure happy you have good medical coverage as well!

Had a pleasant day today. We went over to Jim and Brenda's to watch the Browns' game. Well that part wasn't so pleasant....LOL Steven and the girls came up. After the game we watched two old movies with them.......Weekend at Bernie's and Secret of my Success. Can you believe I'd never seen either of them before? Jim made baked chicken and veggies and we all had dinner together. I took over a bowl of pickled eggs I'd made. Nice day, except for poor Andrea working 2 till closing.

Hope everyone gets a good rest tonight and has a pleasant week ahead of them!!

October Zone 4 Missions

Zone 4: Mission #1 Monday

Dear Friends: Today I want you to spend 15 minutes getting rid of anything that does not belong in your bedroom. Things that have gotten thrown in a corner, on a chair or even the floor. The things that you almost don't even see because they have just become part of the room, get it out! If it does not belong there then out it goes! This does not mean that you have to spend three hours in your bedroom, do what you can do for 15 minutes.PS. Don't forget that if you miss a mission in your emails you can always get them at our website www.FlyLady.net and click on the Launch Pad.

Zone 4: Mission #2 Tuesday

Dear Friends: Today is the day to attack the clothes pile. Now you all know what I am talking about. This pile is either on a chair, on top of the hamper, dresser or at the foot of your bed. Set your timer for 15 minutes and grab some hangers or start folding. While you are doing this do not hang up or fold something that you hate! This is the time to let it go!! If you do not love it, send it right out the door!

Zone 4: Mission #4 Thursday

Dear Friends:This week, we have been tackling clutter in our bedrooms. So, today we are going to clean off the nightstands! Get the tissues, cups and stuff that has piled up, toss and put away. Then grab a feather duster or dust rag and dust the surface. Place a pretty candle or picture there. Something that is new to that spot that you love to see. Waking up and not seeing a pile of things on the nightstand and a pile of clothes will make your morning a little brighter!

Zone 4: Mission #5 Friday

Dear Friends: Today is the last day in the Master Bedroom. Take 15 minutes to declutter your dresser. Get the things off the top of your dresser that you have placed there that you were going to put away later. Later is now. Take the time to take care of this; it really makes a great difference.

I feel blessed each day that my medical needs are met and I just have to pay a little over a dollar for each of my meds. And also that I am pretty healthy. Thank you Lord.

All the talk yesterday of watermelon had me craving it. Lucky me our caregiver Lydia had given me one Friday and it was nice and chilling in the frig. I had some and shared some with hubby. We both agreed it tasted as good as ice cream. Lol

Hubby had a rough night last night and I was up three times. I went to bed early at 7:30 and did not get until 6:30. So even with off and on sleeping I got enough sleep.

My exercise today will be walking around the neighborhood and caring for my disabled hubby who is a functioning quadriplegic with limited use of his arms and legs.

Good morning. It is a cool morning here today at 27 degrees. It will be a high in the 30s with a little sunshine but breezy. I am going to get some things done inside today and hope for a good breathing day. I want to do a little baking and cooking today. Yesterday was a day of waiting. My daughter was getting my groceries but didnít go till noon and I kept waiting for her call that she was on her way here but it was late. I needed the groceries for what I want to make so couldnít do that. I am not one who likes to wait. I did get 12 minutes of walking in and had 3,580 total steps for the day. It wasnít all a bad day but will strive to do better today. Hope you all have a great Sunday.

I am in MN and October is a little early for snow but last year we had a blizzard with 4 to 6 inches of snow by this time so not going to complain yet. It is gone but sounds like a few days off and on this week will be snow so it could be here to stay pretty soon. I sure hope not.

Hi Everyone!!

Pretty day here, I don't think there's any rain in our forecast for awhile. I think I might put the palm back on the balcony for this week, had to bring it in because it's been in 40's the past couple of nights. Hope you don't have a rainy Sunday Trudy and find something fun to do.

Peggy, Andy went to ER on Monday night that visit, was admitted after midnight I think and then released Wed. afternoon. No one was allowed to go with him and then when he was admitted, he was in isolation. He could have had one visitor, but he and Brenda both thought it was too risky for me to go with the virus, so we just kept in touch with text and phone.

Merri, maybe that is the reason, met the deductible for the year, not sure. I'll know more when we get the paperwork from the insurance company or a bill from the hospital. We are really blessed to have such good insurance though, my goodness, when Andy had the heart issues, lung blood clot, etc., his bills were WAY higher than that and our share was doable. I don't know how people make it without good insurance! Enjoy your watermelon run! Love it!

Annie, glad you had a good visit with Kevin and now a day with SIL! WooHoo! Isn't that precious that Kevin is worried about being a good Dad? I'm sure he'll be an amazing father!!

Liz, that video you put on FB with the bull dog is hysterical! Love it!

Hope you all have a blessed day!

Good morning,
It's cloudy here this morning. It's supposed to rain later.
Merri, I love the watermelon idea! That was really putting on your thinking cap! I hope it works out!
Peggy, I bet you're really excited about going back to NY. I didn't think about the fact that you hadn't been back this year. You're right, you will enjoy the drive up this time! Are the hotels you usually stay at all open?
Joyce, that drive you took yesterday looked spectacular! The playground sounds like a dream! Wow on the hospital bill. Good insurance is so important. I'm glad you have it.
Annie, whoop, whoop, way to go on doing the fence yourselves! Even if you took breaks, you got it done and the $800 is in your pocket!! I'm glad you can at least attend church remotely.
Sharon is this early for snow? I hope it melts this afternoon.
Janet, yes, there's no way 88 is good soup weather!
Welcome back, Gwyn! Hope you're doing well.
I hope you all have a spectacular day!!

Good Sun morning to all of my dear friends....It is only 47 here and dreary out there. It is saying we might hit 60 only....It looks like rain is on it's way later on....

The sun came out later yesterday and Mr Ken put the new spark plug in our lawn mower and I did get the whole yard done.....I think I did around 12,000 steps!!!

Not much going on here today that I know of anyway...We are going to bring our DD her birthday watermelon and I think that is all....

Did get the grass cut yesterday...good thing as it is starting to rain some out there...NO girlfriend next door again this morning...I sure hope this time she has finally gotten the message...

Joyce, Oh boy, it doesn't take much to rack up a big at the hospital. It might be because you have met all of your deductables? That would be great news if no cost to you guys..

It sounds like you guys had one fantastic ride yesterday as well. So nice to be able to get out of the darn house these days. We just go down by the lake here and watch people. Right now they are getting their boats out of the water.

Peggy, The will be nice to get back to NY and see everyone.

Good morning. Just finished riding the bike and now it's Jerry's turn

I have to go back and have my hearing aids checked because the left one is not working. Luckily I still have my old one to put in but the TV streams into one ear and not the other. Oh well!

Wow that was some hospital bill Joyce. How long was he in there?

Jared's friend just had an emergency room visit and stay and she wrote about how scared she was because her husband wasn't allowed in until she actually got into a room which was several hours later. She said it was really scary seeing everyone wearing masks and you couldn't see the concern that she knew they were feeling. Her phone had only a little battery left since it was the end of the day so she couldn't even talk on the phone. It wasn't Covid so that's okay.

We're having Tilapia for supper so that's all decided.

Hi everyone!

We had an awesome day today. Brenda and Jim took us and the three kids for a beautiful drive to see the fall foliage in the Grandfather Mountain and Blowing Rock area. That's the Blue Ridge Mountain part of the Appalachians and it was such a pretty drive! The leaves were gorgeous in the higher elevations. We went on to Hickory for lunch and let the kids play awhile on the town's playground. It is the most amazing play park for kids I've seen - all sorts of really neat activities for climbing, spinning. swinging, etc. A musical area with xylophone type things for them to play, a water area (not open now) for hot days, restrooms right there and the whole thing has the soft spongy stuff so if kids fall they don't get hurt. They loved it!!

It was just so nice to be out of the apartment and enjoying the beautiful fall colors and fresh air!!

Annie, great job on getting the fence up yourself and saving the money! Hope you had a great visit with Kevin, too!

Trudy, thoughts are with you my friend.

Glad to see you back Gwyn!

Sharon, I've forgotten where you live, but snow flurries??? WOW!

Peggy, I'm sure you're more than excited about going back to NY finally! Sorry we'll miss you though.

Liz, UGH on the needed dental work, not fun! Glad you did alright driving in that heavy rain though!

Merri, the watermelon for DD's birthday sounds great! I'm glad she understood about the birthday breakfast. Times are tough right now, for sure.

Got my online hospitalization email for the month so decided to go see what info might be there on Andy's hospital stay in Ohio. Didn't get a bill from the hospital yet. Well, the total charges for that episode were $18,744!!! What on earth do people do without good insurance. Looking at their info it looked like we didn't owe anything, which I can't believe would be the case, but it sure would be awesome! It's always minimal compared to the original charges at least.

Hope you all had a good day and Happy Sweetest Day to those who celebrate it. I didn't realize it wasn't a nation wide thing until awhile back when a friend in AZ asked what it was. LOL

Merri, I love the birthday watermelon!

Annie, I am so impressed you put up the fence boards. I've never done anything like that.

Sharon, I love potato soup! We're having a little heat wave right now. Was 88 yesterday, a little too hot for soup. Good thing it cools down at night. Supposed to start cooling today.

Have a great day all!

I had forgotten to share with you all that I did email our DD here in town about NO "birthday breakfast" on Sun as we did for yrs. She totally understand and said that it was a wise call on our part. WI is really getting hit hard with the virus right now!! I think we might be the worst state right now as what I am reading....Alot of too much going on in the colleges here and than the campaigning going on it our poor state right now before the election....

So, I thought oh gosh, when we go over to just give our "Happy Birthday" wishes...what should I bring? NO cake as she would want us to have some with her. I haven't had cake now in almost 13 months....So, the next best thing that she really loves is watermelon!!! Hard to find right now, but the guy at Piggy Wiggly took us in to the back room and found a nice one for us at a really good price as well......

So, Mr Ken & I will cut it all up tomorrow morning and bring it over to her at exactly at 1:09 PM the time she was born....Just hope they are home LOL...Haven't heard of any plans they are having at all...

Good morning. It is snowing lightly out there this morning and hopefully it will melt this afternoon. I would like Marshall to mow one more time this year and pick up the leaves. It is time to put the mower away and bring out the snow blower. I am not sure what I will do today. It will depend on how I feel. Tina will get groceries and I might just do some cooking today. I feel like some nice hot potato soup so might just make a big pot of that today with a fresh loaf of bread. Sounds good to me. Hailley was only up twice last night so that wasnít too bad. I feel for her when she gets like this and she sure does get demanding when I cut her food back. I will increase a little today but keep the treats down. Well, hope we all have a great day.

Good Sat morning on a gloomy one. It is only 44 and only going to get to a high of 60! They are calling for rain later and strong winds...

Mr Ken didn't work on the lawn mower yesterday. We did get a new spark plug and gas line tho...He wanted to get back out in the garage with his little red truck. That is ok as it wouldn't be to wise to cut the grass and mulch the leaves as the rain/wind will only make more in the yard right now anyway. I'll get the sheets done and find something to tackle in the house...

Mr Ken is going to make two breasts of chicken in the oven today....Of course and his baked potato as well....I will watch it once he gets it all prepared....He has his own ideas and that is ok with me...I'm not the fussy one in our house LOL

Today is our youngest GS's birthday. He is 31...Dustin lives way up north, so we won't be able to see him today, but can talk on FB tho...Not married yet, but does have a girlfriend...We were there the day he was born...His name is Dustin Kenneth...

Peggy, I see where you said you will be leaving in three weeks. Will it be right on Joyce's 80th birthday? Nov 7th...I can see where you will enjoy it so much this time as well...

Annie, I so agree with Trudy, you are one busy gal. I like to be busy tho too. When Mr ken is out in the garage enjoying himself working/playing in the wood....I still feel like there are things I have to get done here in the house....I sometimes to relax tho and do some puzzles on FB for free...

Joyce, It seems like we have a computer problem here...I almost want to leave the house!! I really never thought I would even have gotten on here at all....Something new to learn and always some sort of head ache....Good thing we have Rick & Lisa to come to the rescue now.

Ok, maybe one more time I have to talk about the mean neighbor.....His girlfriend hasn't slept there all week now!!! It seems like she comes around 9 or so and leave around 2pm or so....I haven't seen his DD there for a few days either. Of course NO camping at all either. He has to be so mad in there all by himself....than that one man that is dating the gal across the street from him is parking in front of his house!!! NO one has done that is over 30 yrs!!! He did call the police a while back and they came and left laughing at him....Of course they don't know he doesn't like it at all....Unless she happened to see the police the day they came. I was out watering the flowers when they went over to the mean man's house.

Thank you all for your thoughts. It's funny how we never forget and daily I "talk" to my husband,
but, the anniversary dates are always harder.
It's sunny right now. The wind is supposed to be 50 mph today. Yikes. I won't be going to the state park in IN to look at fall colors. Maybe next weekend, if this wind doesn't blow all the leaves away!
Peggy that meal sounds tasty. I've had something similar but, not with linguini. That's an interesting addition. I've fixed the same thing with bacon, also. I fixed that for my neighbors one time and they went nuts over it.
Joyce, I hope you and Andrea can get the computer situation taken care of. That has to be frustrating for ALL of you.
Liz, I'm with you, I hate driving in bad weather. Whether rain, wind, or snow. I'm sorry your dentist appointment went as it did. But, luckily the problems can be fixed.
Merri, I hope you found the sparkplug. I've never put sauerkraut on potatoes but, I put noodles on mashed potatoes. Carbs on carbs! LOL.
Annie, that baking sounds much safer! And delicious. You were busy, busy, busy with the yard work, baking, and church. Does your church offer online still since it's getting colder?
I didn't do anything much yesterday. I hope I'm more productive today. I wonder why women seem to feel like they need to be busy all the time. I raised a family, worked full time, kept house, etc. now that I'm retired, and live alone, I feel guilty if I sit all day reading or playing games on the tablet, or watching tv. Then, I tell myself it doesn't matter. I'm not hurting anyone. My house is clean, I don't need to go to the store, my yard looks good. Oh well, maybe it's just in a woman's makeup.
Everyone have a great day.

Good morning all!! It's 71 and we're off for our walk.

Only 3 more weeks and we leave for New York. I think I'll enjoy the drive even more because we haven't taken it all year.

It will be great to see everyone again.

Have a great day!!

Morning All! It is supposed to be sunny and in the 50s this weekend!

Yesterday it was pouring when I went to the dentist but I made it. I do not like driving on the
Garden State Parkway in bad rain! I need 2 crowns and a filling. Because of all the meds I take my teeth are brittle and are cracking.

Trudy - my thoughts and prayers are with you! Hugs!!!

Janet - I hope you are feeling better!

Good Evening All.....

Thinking of you today Trudy, I know the anniversary dates are not easy. I guess Andrea's doctor never even considered hysterectomy at this point, so trusting him to know what's best. Brenda and Jim made their stuffed peppers for us last night for our anniversary. They make their stuffing out of sweet Italian sausage, riced cauliflower, parmesan cheese, beaten egg and spices. They put it in the yellow and red peppers and top it with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce. They are SOOOO good!!

Still balancing between two computers. There's a teacher day Monday so Adalyn doesn't have class that day and Andrea doesn't work that day, so hopefully we can get it handled then.

Brought my palm tree in tonight, I noticed some leaves discoloring, thinking the nights are getting too cold for it.

Ohhh, Annie, bet your house smelled great with the baking today. I much prefer hearing that to climbing ladders!!

Peggy, your meal sounded yummy too What kind of sausage did you use?

Hope your dental appt. went well Liz!

Merri, I love baked sweet potatoes. Sounds like you were busy today.

Good luck at weigh in tomorrow Kathryn!

Janet, thanks for the prayers....SO appreciated!!

Hope everyone has a good evening. Andrea works early tomorrow so thinking we'll have Adalyn here again since Steven also has to work. He's usually home by noon so won't be a long day.

Enjoy the weekend my friends!!

Hello all,
Today going to the supermarket to buy chicken so our caregiver Lydia can cook some fried chicken for Ron. I am going to have one leg. I have weigh in tomorrow and don't want to be up to high. Going to McDonalds today and will only have a caramel iced coffee. I did my strength training routine and will do a power walk.

Up and starting to bake,, I am making banana nut bread and chocolate chip cookies to take to the neighbor who did the very top of my tree... I will take it over when he gets home from his work.

and YES,, that's IS the end of me up in a tree on a ladder ... I DO promise..

after driving Don to VA hospital.. which the Dr. came and talked with me,, his surgery went fine,,but she said,,his eyes are , beyond staying dry.. she's prescribed everything she can for him,, but kidney Dr. said he's dehydrated ,, with his kidneys' being so bad.. at least the Dr. are trying with him..

then I came home,, just beautiful yesterday,,got out my lawn mower and did ALL the lawns,, edged,,oh my looks so good..
Merri: I think my lawn mower needs a new spark plug too.. very hard to start,,but it started.. I cleaned the underside,, and with it on it's side,, then it took about 6 pulls to get it going again,,to put back in the shed ..I hope for winter !!

went to outside,,Church,, they moved it to the parking lot in the back of the Church.. OH MY it was SO cold.. because of the moving chairs,,getting people ,, staying 6 ft apart.. it started later,,and didn't get over to 7:30pm..

I came home and stood by our fireplace !!

Trudy:
big ((( HUGS emoticon )) to you,, I am sure this is a hard day for you... you take care..

Happy Friday!! Bagel King at home and more climbing in the trees.

What a fun life I have. As long as I remember to get up and walk around.

Janet I really enjoy WW and if I follow what I am supposed to it really helps.

Merri do you mix your mashed potatoes and sauerkraut together when you eat it?

Last night I made broken up sausage with cabbage and onions, then you add linguine. It's really good and easy to make.

I'm off to write a post card to my sister.

Good Fri morning to everyone. It is only 36 here and going to around 55 at the most. The sun is out tho and that really makes it seem so much warmer...

Today is pork chops and baked potatoes....I will once again use my sweet potato...

I was going to cut the front yard yesterday but the darn lawn mower wouldn't start. Poor Mr Ken had to stop what he was doing to try and fix it...We think it needs a new spark plug....Than I thought I had better get the darn dusting done instead than....

Mr Ken is having so much fun out in his garage using so many of his tools that have been sitting for so long....He had the bottom and front of the truck sitting out in the sun yesterday drying....

Today when Mr Ken & I go and gets a new spark plug for the mower, we are on the mission...We have to get a watermelon for our DD in town who is going to turn 60 on Sun....I thought that it would be a good idea as than I can share her "birthday watermelon cake" with her this way. She loves watermelon. We will cut it all up and bring it over there in containers.

Trudy, Most of the time when we go through the drive through at Culvers, I usually get the Ruben sandwich unless we have a coupon buy one and get one free. They only have the regular hamburger than or the chicken sandwich....Our Rick really loves sauerkraut and we used to send cans/packets over to him in Afghanistan. We sent it to his DD over in Iceland too when she was over there....

Kathryn, Oh my, I would think myself that maybe you had too much sodium? That is so darn easy to do these days...I know you will be able to get this off fast....I love how you plan your little "get aways". You need those so much with your hubby and having to help him so much.

Joyce, My dear friend. I am praying that things will settle down and get better with your lovely family very soon. That is really something how both Brenda and Andrea both having the same problems at the same age. I know I had a hysterectomy at only 32 and my DD here in town had hers at 36...Both fybroids...

Good morning,
It's going to be pretty and sunny here today. It's only 28 right now and it's going to get into the low 50's.
Annie, OMG! You should be glad all you got was scolded for getting on your ladder with a chainsaw. I'm sure glad you're not going to try that again!!
Kathryn, you're very good at getting back on track. You'll get that modest gain off really soon.
Janet, I hope that UTI is cleared up very soon. Those can really lay you low!
Merri, I hope you enjoyed your sauerkraut. I love sauerkraut. I don't have it often, but, I really like it. Do you or Mr. Ken ever have a Ruben sandwich when you go out? I really like those too.
Joyce, I wish Andera well. I'm not a fan of just watching, but, I'm also not a Dr. (LOL) I bet it's hard for Adalyn using the different computers. She's so young and it would be hard for an older person too. I think she's doing really well. I hope you got/get a fall foliage ride in!! I hope to go to a state park in IN tomorrow if the weather cooperates. High wind is predicted. So, I'll see what tomorrow is like.
Today is 8 years since my husband died. Time surely does pass quickly. Looking back. Going forward it didn't seem like it is, but, it really is.
Everyone have a fantastic day!

Morning all! We were supposed to get heavy rain today but so far nothing! I have a dentist appointment at 2 PM so I hope it holds off!

Annie - it's not funny! You are pushing your luck! I personally know a man who went up a ladder with a saw, reached out too far and nearly took his face off! He was very disfigured for the rest of his life!

Have a super weekend!

Zone 3: Mission #5 Friday

Dear Friends, Today let's grab some general purpose cleaner and shine those counter tops and bathroom sinks! Clear everything off the counter top and wipe them from side to side and top to bottom. Then use a little elbow grease and scrub your sink, then spritz the counter top and sink with a little windex to make it shine. This is the last day we have in the guest bedroom. We have worked hard this week, and I am proud of you! Today set your timer and relax. For 15 minutes sit down and have a cup of tea or coffee (don't forget to drink your water). Take time to be still and take care of you.

Today going to measure out everything I eat and not go over one serving of anything I eat. And some things taking half a serving. I have had a gain and need to turn that around. I am doing two 500 calorie fast days. I have done this before and it helped me.

Exercising with my peddler today

Hi everyone....

Thanks for the anniversary wishes and for the thoughts and prayers for Andrea. SO appreciate both!!

Adalyn is done with school for today - whew!! A minor glitch with my computer but got it going. Actually I think she hit the "dimmer" button and got the screen black, but not positive. LOL Hopefully we can get hers back up and running soon.

Annie - WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH YOU??? What were you thinking being on a ladder trimming a tree! Please, NO MORE TAKING CHANCES like that!!

The Buckeye Tree is the state tree of Ohio!

Trudy, Andrea talked to her doctor at length about all options. At this point he feels there is no need to consider a hysterectomy since it's just barely gone from dysplasia to non invasive cancer. He's 99% sure the LEEP procedure or surgery will totally get rid of it, but said they will monitor her very closely and if there's any evidence of it again, then they would consider the hysterectomy. Ironically Brenda had the same thing at the same age!! Hers was still in the dysplasia stage though. She had the LEEP procedure and no recurrence, so praying for the same for Andrea.

It's a pretty day here, sunny and 75 but guess some rain coming in overnight. Supposed to be a nice weekend, maybe we'll take a ride to see some of the fall foliage.

Hope everyone has a good day....

Good morning. Heading to the gym in a bit. Yesterday's workout was cut short. I needed to make a Dr. appt, I believed I had a UTI. I called from the vehicle at 1P. Was already at the gym. Can you come in at 2P? You bet I took that appt. I'm on an antibiotic and taking AZO. Today's workout will still focus on my legs, plus a few I didn't get done yesterday. Might not do that many sets, but I will workout.

Good morning everyone:

Joyce emoticon Andy !!

A Happy Anniversary to you two emoticon

Praying for Andrea.. so sorry to hear this,,but Dr.s and medical treatments have come a long way.. praying they help her emoticon

Yesterday I did something I got SO chewed out for by neighbors and people out walking that I didn't even know.. I took the hedge ,electric trimmer and went up on the smaller ladder and cut limbs and shaped the tree.. i got to the top and couldn't reach those final limbs sticking straight in the air.. a neighbor had been watching me,,holding her phone in her hand to call 911 when she thought I would fall off the ladder,,she came and got another young, guy neighbor to climb the ladder and cut those last 3 branches off !! WOW does my tree look professional !!

ok,, I PROMISE not to do that again,, I am SO soar this morning,,in fact had bandages all over my hands,, from the limbs cutting into me.. but it's DONE !!

today drive Don to the VA hospital in Portland.. that's it for today !!! emoticon

Good morning. It sounds like another windy day today with temps in the 40sí. We had just a very light drizzle yesterday but it only lasted a very short time. We need a good rain. Yesterday was so windy I was chasing recycles all over the yard as the bin blew over and stuff blew out. I really hate that when it happens. I doesnít happen often as those bins are really pretty heavy. Hailley got her hair cut and she is not as good as I hoped skin wise. I feel so bad and as Tina said there really isnít much I can do for her except to give her those drugs that are really hard on her body and at her age I am not going to do that as long as she doesnít seem bothered by it. As long as I can keep the itching under control that is all that counts. Well, I am hoping to get some things done today and time will tell. Hope you all have a good day,.

Good morning,
It's cloudy, gloomy and 55 this morning. It isn't going to get much warmer and it's supposed to rain off and on.
Liz, enjoy the zoom needlework meeting. The talk on Swedish embroidery sounds interesting.
Joyce, I'm so sorry to hear about Andrea's news. I will tell you that when I had my hysterectomy a few years ago they found cancer that hadn't broken through the endometrial wall so, since I had a complete hysterectomy, the Dr. said there was 0 chance of the cancer spreading. It might be good for Andrea to talk to her Dr. about a complete hysterectomy. Even though she's young, it could bring some peace of mind. I'm sorry there continues to be a problem with Adalyn's homeschooling computer. Gosh, if she's having these troubles, I'm sure there are others too.
Merri, maybe you're right that the mean neighbor's girlfriend has decided not to put up with his abuse anymore. I hope so.
Janet, making cards with your friend on zoom is a great way to visit and be "crafty".
Kathryn, I'm glad to hear that your shoulder is better. It's funny how you don't realize how much you use your shoulders until one hurts!
Annie, so glad you got to pass on one trip to the VA. I hope today goes smoothly!
Our Y girls picnic was great yesterday. There were only 6 of us, but, still great to visit. One funny thing, we were sitting under the usual tree and had been wondering what the pods were that were on the tree. Well, it's a buckeye tree! They were all over the ground and with the high wind they were "raining" down on us. Today I have a chiropractor appointment and am making cards this afternoon.
Everyone have a great day.

Good Thurs morning to all of my dear friends...It is 48 right now and going to get to only 66! I don't see any sun yet at all...

Today is some frozen sauerkraut and Mr Ken famous mashed potatoes....I'll make it as Mr Ken wants to go out in the garage early to work on the little red truck. I did mention that he might want to make one for our little great granddaughter here in town. She is 16 months now...

Joyce, Oh my goodness...You must all be so worried about Andrea!! Good thing they caught it early enough that they can treat it so soon.....I never like to hear the word cancer!!! I sure hope that Brenda isn't giving her a hard time right now with her wanting to move and all. We have never had to face anything about moving....I know it would be one BIG job here as well. I keep looking in our closets and boy, it would be one big job!!! Than Mr Ken's garage too???

I sure hope things start getting better with this schooling from home too. Poor kids going through all of this mess with the darn virus....Well, you guys too....Who ever thought we would have to learn so much to be able to even help out with them....

Morning All!
Partly cloudy and 70 here today! Nice!

This is my busy week. I have a large needlepoint zoom meeting at 10:30. After the regular business meeting they are having a lecture on Swedish Embroidery. One of my friends has a large tablecloth she inherited from her great grandmother to show. It should be very interesting! I'm looking forward to it!

Joyce - so sorry to hear about Andrea's news. I hope and pray everything goes well.

Running late today - I've got to do! Have a great day!

Zone 3: Mission #4 Thursday

Dear Friends: For the bathroom today, take 10 minutes to toss old cosmetics and perfumes. If you have these items that you have not used for over a year but they are still hanging around, it is time to dump them. If you have not worn anything in the past year then toss it. Most cosmetics have a limited shelf life and are harboring grounds for bacteria. This also applies to lotions and moisturizers.

I understand for some of you who are new to FlyLady there is a lot of hard work to be done. So, today we are going to do an extra 27 Fling Boogie like we did on Monday. For those of you who are FLYing and just need some maintenance in this room your mission is to sweep or vacuum this room.

One little thing that helps me is to put on some uplifting music while I do these missions!

Hello everyone......

Liz, I absolutely agree - "let go, let God", it's the only way to deal with it.

Annie, I sure don't want the "move" again, I hate packing and moving and setting up another place, but if it has to be, I'll deal with it. Remember I didn't even want to move downstairs here and avoid the steps! LOL Glad you were able to do Don's appt. by phone!

Andrea had her follow up to the colposcopy/biopsy today. Not good news. She has non-invasive cervical cancer. The doctor feels it will all be fine, is going to schedule a laser procedure to remove the bad tissue and be prepared to do it surgically if that doesn't appear to be working well enough. They're to contact her within a week to schedule it.

Adalyn's school computer was supposedly fixed remotely by the tech department at the school yesterday but the microphone wasn't working again this morning. By the time Andrea got back from the doctor it was too late to contact them again. Luckily she can use my chromebook for the zoom meeting and her computer is OK for doing her homework. Andrea opens tomorrow, so hopefully she can get ahold of the tech department again when she gets home.

Not been a fun week here, that's for sure.

Sharon, I'm glad you know it's fine t rest when you need it!! No reason to stress about things you thought you'd get done.

Kathryn, glad to hear your shoulder is feeling better!!

Janet, hope you enjoyed your zoom meeting!!

Merri, are you feeling improvement in your shoulder??

Trudy, hope you enjoyed the picnic - hope it's not the last for the year.

Today we will have a front move through and again it will be very windy with clouds and cooler in the upper 40s. It is definitely fall. Yesterday turned into a day that didnít show any accomplishments. Barb stopped by with some books and the oxygen delivery guy was here and it seemed like every time I wanted to get started something came up. I ended up with a very slow day and napped in my chair. I knew I was tired with not having slept well. I donít feel bad about it because today is another day. Have a good one.

My shoulder is not hurting today so I did my strength training routine. I have not done it for months as I had tried to increase my routine to 30 minutes with little rest in between and that hurt my shoulder. My doc wants me to get it X-rayed but I think it healed it's self.

Taking a long walk around the neighborhood and down to old Sac. It is a tourist attraction and has lots of little shops. I am going to see how they handle shopping now. The Goodwill thrift store only allows 30 in at a time. And did not have it's big 50% off sale as they did not want to attract big crowds.

Lizzie, Isn't it nice there is zoom to keep in touch. My favorite day of the week is Thursday right now. I make cards with a friend on zoom. We chat and show each other creations- almost as good as being there. And, even if Covid was gone, we would still do it this way as she is in Montana and I am in California.

Peggy, thank you for the Fly Lady tasks. I like the idea of one little job a day. I will be dusting the guest room today- it does get ignored.

Today I have a zoom meeting with Monterey Bay aquarium. I have been a volunteer there the last 3 years- so fun and a great group of people! The aquarium has been closed since March, but we get together once a week. Our shift also has a book club that meets today. I have enjoyed the books we've read.

Good Wed morning. Gosh, here we are in the middle of the week once again! Time is moving on so fast....It is 48 this morning and going to to get to the middle 70's...It as so nice here yesterday. I had the windows open. I try to keep them open as much as we can right now...

Today once again have to go to PT for this darn shoulder. I really don't like going out that much. Also she has boys in school and they could bring the virus home or she could get it from one her patients as well.....I know I shouldn't maybe be so afraid....but....that is how the world is going to have to be for some time yet...

It is kind of hard for me to see if the nice lady comes back to the mean neighbor's house or not with the big trailer there. I was going out to get the sheets off of the line around 2pm and seen her leave from there. She hasn't been back since. I am thinking that she finally got the message!!! If it didn't get dark now, we would go over and see if she is at her own house...Mr Ken isn't that fond of driving at night anymore....I can see if her car is there as I would be able to see the car wheels under the trailer....What goes around comes around they say.....

Today is hamburgers on the grill. Mr Ken is making progress on the little red truck he is making. Most of the trucks we have seen are all red...He is going to have ours with white side rails on the back....He is being creative he says....It is keeping him busy and off of that darn computer anyway....All used wood yet so far...

Joyce, Our DD here in town likes to "run the show" as well. It was so nice that we were only one mile at first and than three miles later away from her and able to watch her two for as long as needed over the yrs. Now for some reason, we only seem to see her on birthdays or holidays. I sent her a birthday card and still haven't heard from her if she got it yet. I can't remember if I told her in the card that we won't be having a "birthday breakfast" for her like we have done for yrs....She will get over it....Our call this time. She is going to be 60 on the 18th....I don't want any "birthday breakfast" for me neither when I turn 80 on Christmas...

Kathryn, I thought of you yesterday when we were in the grocery store. I looked and we do have coffee filters here...I wonder why not by you than....I wish I could go for a train ride like you do so often. I love trains!!!

Janet, We didn't plant tomatoes nor cucumbers this year...It does seem like most that did had a nice garden this year too...

Good morning,
It's going to be sunny and very windy here today. From the look of the weather predictions, it might be our last outside picnic.
Liz, enjoy your small needlework group!
Peggy, have fun in your trees!!
Joyce, I'm so sorry this moving is turning into a situation where Brenda feels like it's personal.
Steven's parents have the right attitude. One of mine lives in OR and one lives in TX. I would love to have them closer, but, they had to do what was right for them. I'm glad Brenda was calmer last night. It seems like she's in OH one week a month. So, she'd still have a lot of time with the kids/grandkids. Liz is right, it will work out. I hope it doesn't continue to stress you out.
Merri, I bet you're glad Mr. Ken's appetite is back. I know you've been worried for a while.
Sharon, I'm glad you felt better yesterday and got so much done.
Kathryn, you sure did get a walk in yesterday! I don't blame you for taking the train back!
Janet, your winter garden vegs will be so nice!
Hi to all of you!
I hope you all have a GREAT day!!
