They lost me as a viewer this season when they brought back the little child monsters they had created two seasons ago. Pathetic.

So, the person who lost over 38 pounds in week 1, lost 6 pounds in week 3.
This guy started at 409 and in 3 weeks is at 354.
Just posting the information for interest sake......... emoticon

Cheers,

I have not watched the show much over the years either but did participate in a "Biggest Loser" competition at my gym in CT back in 2007, which was much more real world with the normal day to day pressures, etc. It was the first time in ages that I was able to prove to myself that I could lose weight, and even to this day there are lessons that I learned from that experience that I apply to my diet and exercise strategies.

Haven't watched it in many years, but it is a "better" reality show than most.

The plus side, it can motivate people, not just those who need to lose a lot of weight.

The downside is that it sets unrealistic expectations for weight loss. I believe I could lose more weight and get in better shape if I didn't have a job, lived at a ranch, had a personal trainer, etc., etc. But the 1/2 weight loss for a month are huge success stories that some folks discount due to an unrealistic number that has been set.

Anybody watch this show ? Certainly not real world conditions to make any fair comparisons with the "general public " but certainly interesting.

One contestant dropped 38 pounds in the first week this year . That's insane !
