I was wondering why this topic had not been started yet. The past 3 years were in a different forum.

My goal for the first half of the year is to get my fitness back to where it was last summer. So far I am on a good trajectory.

The goal for the second half of the year is to keep it there.

I also plan to run at least five 5Ks this year. I joined a local running group and they do a year-long competition for those who run multiple 5Ks they sponsor. If I am successful with my fitness goal by this summer I will add one 10K in the Fall.

The key for me is to stop taking on extra work that I don't need to do so another goal is to say NO more often.

Lastly, I want to find ways to take my wife with me more often on business trips. My travel for conferences and workshops has picked up quite a bit and I don't like leaving her at home so much. So far this year she has already been able to join me for a couple of trips so, hopefully, we can continue that.

My two overarching goals are
1) to hike the Appalachian Trail - whole thing end to end - in one season
2) to study and become familiar with the literature on early childhood stimulation, and the benefit, if any, for this child in college and early employment years.

Additionally:
Ensure family feels safe in turbulent times and
Manage finances for retirement.

First two are measurable. Second two are more a mind-set that affects every single decision every day.
