Interesting question! Unfortunately, I'm not currently working in a library, and my previous experience was at a small academic library. I would be interested to hear some other experiences as my mom currently is working at a local museum and we have been brainstorming ideas for programming to attract a wider cross-section of the local population.

There are some programming and diversity sessions at ALA annual conference--if I manage to make it to any, I will be sure to share ideas. Best wishes!

I'm in a class about Cultural literacy and programming for families. Tell me all about your library's cultural programming. What does your library offer to diverse populations. How successful was the program? What would you change? How did/do you get people of other cultures to come to your library? What diverse cultures and programs are you planning? Any and all information is welcome!
