It is a stressful time, but try not to dwell on it. If there was anything wrong, you'd hear.

Thanks for the encouragement! I am starting to calm down a bit. Still no phone call from the surgeon so I am pretty sure I passed all my tests!!! Now I am starting to allow myself to get excited!
emoticon
I am also going to pat myself on the back and proudly say that I did NOT turn to food during any of the last six weeks which has been extremely stressful!!! (I was denied approval from insurance etc.)
emoticon
I don't have a two week liquid diet. But I have been on a low carb diet for the last month. (under 60 grams carbs per day). I also have ONE day of clear liquids the day before surgery. I think by the time surgery gets here on Tuesday I will be down 20lbs in the last month!!! I guess my body likes low carb!!! It hasn't been easy the whole time, and there have been times when I've had to deal with eating out and stuff so I am feeling really great about my accomplishment!

At this point I feel like Tuesday can't get here fast enough! emoticon

I agree that if they had found 'something' in all the tests, they would have called right away. No news is good news! They just want to make sure all their ducks are in line.

One thing that helped me thru it (besides cleaning too! emoticon ) was remembering that doing surgeries is their JOB that they get PAID for. So they will do all they can to make sure you are safe and their job goes as smoothly as possible.

Hang in there and Happy Scrubbing!!

Andrea, I hope all is well with your pre-op testing. It is o difficult towards the end of the process because we've put so much into getting body and mind ready to go. Sending positive thoughts your way and offering up y house full of dust bunnies to ward off the waiting anxiety!

I TOTALLY stress cleaned today! emoticon I cleaned the fridge and freezer. And then I tackled the rest of the kitchen! Last night i was up late doing laundry and cleaning the bedroom. I figure tomorrow is the bathroom/shower and vacuum the whole house! LOL Well, at least my house will be clean for when i get home from surgery.

I know it is stressful! Don't worry - everything will be awesome, and you will look back on this and be like "that was so silly of me"

I always find that cleaning and washing dishes helps me relieve stress!

I did my pre-op testing yesterday morning and I have been stressing out that the results are going to come back bad and that my surgery will be postponed. I guess its because I feel like this is the last hurdle i need to beat in order for the surgery to officially be "a go". I feel a little better tonight considering it has been a day and a half and I haven't heard anything so I feel like no news is good news here. I'm thinking that if something was wrong they would have contacted me right away and not wait two days to call me. Ugh...I'm probably stressing for absolutely nothing!!! Well, I feel better just getting it out.
