I can not say enough about the positive effects of exercise!

They key is finding something you love. I found a boot camp/cross fit - esque class at my gym that I take three times a week and it has given me a new outlook on life!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me via message - I will gladly give encouragement, accountability or even help you find a program that you are passionate about!

We do have an exercise thread for those who want to exercise. Some check in every once in a while and other every day. We only recently have had some new RNY team members so hopefully they will use the Exercise Checkin thread to encourage each other to exercise and to be accountable for following their exercise plan.

It usually takes around 2 to 6 months of posting before the exercise habit is established.

The best way to get out of a 2 month stall is to increase your exercise.

I'm almost 6 months post op, have lost 70 pounds (which is great) but I've been at a stall for about 2 months and with more than 40 pounds left to lose that is unacceptable!

Unfortunately, I don't exercise. Yes, I am well aware that I SHOULD! For whatever reason I just have so much trouble getting motivated and holding myself accountable, soooo....I created a facebook group for weight loss surgery patients and exercise accountability with each other. It's still a new group, but it seems to be doing well and I've now exercised 4 of the last 6 days, which for me, is a huge accomplishment! lol I'm not on sparkpeople often, but for work I'm on facebook every day, so I created the group there. (If anyone wants to create a similar group here, I think that's great...I'm just not on here enough to keep up with being in charge of it.)

Anyway, I'm adding a new challenge every day to the group to keep it interesting and help encourage people to get moving, even if they're only moving a little, anything is better than nothing! Feel free to request to join. Thanks! Hope you all are doing great!
