Laurie, that's about my m.o. lol it's just a thing that needs done, no fuss about it.

Poor old pup, that's good that you've given a good comfortable home. Our Gracie was about 14 when she died, we only had her for 2 years. I did like the feeling that we were giving her a retirement home if sorts. We knew she didn't have much time left when we took her in, but wanted her to be comfortable

Congrats Kourtney and Mike!!!! What's her name? emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Oh wow, Sidney! Glad it wasn't a bone problem! How did the ultrasound go?

Carol, love your travel stories! And I love that you can be retired, but not retired. I aspire to that someday!

Ok, so funny story about nursing in public. I got a new GAL case with a newborn infant. I went out to see Mom and baby, and she whipped it out in the dining room and baby latched on right then and there. I had never met her before and there were all sorts of people walking around. No modesty there! I just smiled and kept talking. She just fed baby, then put it away. No break in the conversation, it was like nothing had happened. I'm glad more and more women are doing this. My daughter never would.

And another one about cannabis legalization... I have a bunch of cases now where people are looking forward to getting their medical marijauna cards. (It was just legalized for medical use here in Ohio) They have legitimate reasons for needing it, but they all talk like they are going to be able to go to their old street dealer, buy a bag and smoke 'em up! And if they get caught, they will simply whip out the old medical card. LOLOL... I really want to see it the first time that happens!

Anyway... in more somber news, I have a sick dog. When I took in my ex husband's dog Lucy after he passed away, she was already old. I knew we wouldn't have her long. She just turned 14 and we got the dreaded kidney disease diagnosis. She's at the vet as we speak getting IV fluids. When I pick her up I'm going to talk to them about prognosis and quality of life and so forth. Poor girl.... she's a sweet, happy little beagle, but right now, she's not very happy. emoticon

Fortunate are you if you love a dog, for that dog will surely love you.

Hopefully it's something like fatty tumors! Jay had one of those on his elbow. It was scary before we know what it was.

How'd the interview go?

We've been to Spain, Andorra and now we're on the coast of Portugal. It's so lovely here! Andorra is a lovely little country up in the Pyrenees and it had the most incredible ski run I've ever seen! The coast here in Portugal is gorgeous and our flat is amazing. We have a second floor patio that looks out to the ocean and also over one of the main streets in town. It's perfect for people watching!

It looks like I have a second offer to sit on the board of another ag company! So I may well be able to be retired and not retired! The first one is a cannabis labor contractor and the other is an ag sales company. They both need help with their software and then want me to sit on the board to make sure they don't go sideways!

I hope you get to the bottom of what's going on and it's nothing serious!

Good news. Nothing on the bones, so that's really good. Now, ultrasound.

Phew!!

Sounds like a great trip so far!! Don't feel guilty!! I'm certain you were a fair boss. I think this guy will be as well.

So, I again have nowhere else to go with this stress, so I'm gonna share it here. Over the last month Sydney has developed some bumps on her shins. At first we thought shin splints, but they've gotten big and somewhat bruised looking. So I got her in to the doctor yesterday and he sent us for X-rays. If that shows nothing, then we go back for ultrasound. I have no idea what this is, but it scares me. She had another one develop overnight.

Actually, I'm barely keeping it together this morning. And I have an interview at 1. Ugh.

OK, thank you for "listening" to me once again! Send positive vibes please......I need them.

Yeah, I wasn't uncomfortable nursing wherever and whenever. Throw a blanket over and we're good to go. Casie was a snacky eater and liked the comfort of just being on, Jay was all business. It's funny how kids exert their personalities from the get-go!

I'm in Barcelona! I'm so excited for this extended trip! I feel like I can really stretch out and relax. Tomorrow we have a trip planned to go to Andarra (a little known country) and France. Today the plan was to go out to Montserrat which is a monastery up in the hills...but maybe we walk over to the Gaudi house and up to Parc Guell instead, I guess we'll see when my sister wakes up. This Barcelona trip is all about her. We are in no hurry today.

Good luck with the new boss Heather. Haha...you make me feel a little guilty since I have been the nth boss as several short stays in my last three jobs. But, I did turn each one over to a better system and more organized.

Heather, it has been pretty easy enough when I have been out and about, though college coffee shops don't have changing table in bathrooms :( I'm not very modest with the public boobage so that part doesn't bug me. He is a slow eater and likes to camp out and comfort nurse. That combined with needing to eat every 2 hours during the day, and a lot of my waking hours are spent nursing.

Jen, it gets easier as you do it. I wasn't as comfortable as some people are nursing in public with just a cover over them, so I had to search out ladies rooms with rest areas, or benches in parks where I had a tiny bit of privacy, etc., when I was nursing. It got a bit easier, but it was never perfect for me. We had to add formula once I went back to work because I could only pump once a day at lunch time, so I had less milk as I wasn't nursing as often. I used formula when we were out as I transitioned to less nursing. We made it to 10 months of breast feeding, not exclusively, but still, I felt pretty good about being able to do that.

The point here is give yourself a chance and you'll figure out what works for you.

The day was good. He's going to be fine. I just hope he decides to hire me soon because financially I could really use it......

Yay babies!

I hope the first day with a new boss went well!

I'm feeling like hibernation needs to start ending soon, which it will... Baby boy is almost 3 months old and spring will be here before I know it. But today was wicked windy so we stayed home all day. I do think it'll be hard to move about much out in the world still needing to stop to nurse so often even once it does get nicer outside.

Good Morning!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

We have an addition to our team as Kourtney had her baby girl over the weekend! Yay!!! So happy for her and her family.

On another up note, I got to the pool yesterday. I love swimming so much and it was so awesome to spend that time exercising in the pool. I swam for a half hour, and I felt great!!

New boss starts today. Stress for me around that........I know, I'm pretty good at what I do, but keep in mind this is my 10th new boss in 4.5 years!!! Ugh. We have informational meetings for him all day, so it will be a full day and I'm looking forward to it. Positive vibes!!!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE day!!!!
