Yeah be prepared for some serious heat and humidity in July in DC! The past few years we've had several heat waves with 95-100 degree heat plus 70-80% humidity. You'll be glad to head to Canada after that ;)

We've often high tailed it to our friend's cabin near the Chesapeake Bay in July. I'm sure I'll get creative this year keeping me and the baby cool.

I got a good swim this morning and RJ did well with being in the childcare room. I'm realizing now though, I got a sunburn on our afternoon walk - I had the baby all covered and well shaded but not myself. Oops!

Carol, have you ever been to DC in July? If you think 80 and humid is bad, I don't know what to tell you about DC in July. We had our first housewarming in DC in July, and it was 103 degrees with like 80% humidity. Be ready for some heat and swampy weather. Canada will be a great place to go after that!

Congrats also on the retirement date!! Happy for you.

I have a lot to share, but I'm sitting in a public cubicle area, so I'll have to swing by later from home. I just missed you guys and wanted to come say hi!!

Yeah Laurie, I hear you...we're joining a pool this weekend. We're going to go check out our options and I know going back to swimming every day is going to be painful...but I'm looking forward to it!

Jen - 80 degrees and humid in May?! I'll keep my California weather, thank you very much!

Yay Heather!!! I'm going to have to go on Cobra for my health insurance soon...

...of course, that means I'm retiring!!! We set a date of June 30th! I'll probably work a little into July so that I can get insurance coverage for an extra month.

We're going to spend a week in DC in July so that we can spend all the time we want at the museums, then we have a 9 day cruise up the coast to Canada.

I'm thinking we'll spend the month of October in Iceland! We can because we'll be retired!!!

I swam today too. 1000 yards. It's only the 3rd day back after 2 years away. I'm going to feel it tomorrow.

I think Heather is probably busy with the new job and Carol is traveling :)

I'll get the thread started since I'm here! Went to the y for my first outdoor swim of the season which was glorious. The water was beautiful and being able to go midday is a fantastic perk of full time caretaking.

It's suddenly very summer-level warm here today, mid 80s and humid, and we don't have the AC in yet. Sooo in mostly just hanging out and keeping the baby comfortable today :)
