Aww opposites indeed!! There's quite a range of sizes in our families so we'll just have to see who he takes after. My husband is 6'1" and his Mom was barely 5' before she started shrinking a few years ago - so yeah, quite a curve haha

We waited for a year to start food because of allergies. My son had different ideas though...he wanted all food by 9 months, so it was difficult. We'd be eating at the table and he'd lunge for our food. We ended up letting him have some food before a year - lol. He was ten pounds at birth and 22 inches long. He was over the 100th percentile and Casie was under the 10th percentile. They were concerned with Casie because she was small and weighed something like 20 pounds at a year. They wanted to send her to a specialist but she was super healthy and thriving so they thought they'd wait a year...yeah, at 29 she still only weighs 110 and is a size zero...someone has to create the curve, right? It's just that mine are on both sides of it!

Casie potty trained herself at 12 months and with no diaper butt, she didn't fit any pants so I had to make all of them. She looked like a china doll because she was so skinny and tiny, had white porcelain skin and two red round cheeks with a heart-shaped mouth. Everyone commented on how pretty she was which created a holy terror.

Yay bonus day!

RJ will be 7 months on Monday. I probably could have started foods sooner, I was a bit confused on how well he needed to be able to sit up. There's so much info out there on "baby led weaning" but we're doing the older purees and baby cereals thing and the "signs of readiness" are a little different between the two. In any case, we're doing it now and he'll get the hang of it eventually lol

He's definitely on the small side of the normal ranges, but proportional and steady, so it's all good. My friend's 2yo is 40lbs!!! I feel like it'll be forever until this little guy weighs that much!

Jen, how old is he now? Six months?

Sydney was a preemie at 4 lbs 11 oz and 17 inches. By the time she was 9 months old, she was over 20 pounds. By her first birthday she weighed 30 pounds and the doctor told us to take her off formula and switch to skim milk!!! She stayed 30 pounds until she was 3. It was odd.... :)

But she's healthy!!

This morning the boss said we don't have to come in on Friday, so I get a bonus day off!!! I'm so glad!!!

Hi folks! We had a good and busy weekend, and we introduced RJ to his first foods! He is still mostly confused by it, but for every meal we sit down at the table and go through the motions at least. Today was his checkup so he's sleeping off the stress of the long hour in an exam room and vaccine doses. But he's up to 15lbs and almost 26in - small but mighty lol

Hello!! The day started out crazy, so this is the first time I've had a chance to check in. I hope everyone had nice weekends! Mine was good.

Work is settling back down to a more manageable pace as the flurry of preparing for budget reporting is in a lull at the moment.

And it's a holiday week! emoticon emoticon I have Thursday off, but I'll have to work on Friday. That's ok, I like my job!

Have a FUN, ACTIVE and COOL week!!!
