Yes! Start saving! What airport do you fly out of? SJC is only about a half-hour away from us. I love henna art! That's so nice that you got a double gig!

Whale watching was amazing yesterday! We followed two whales and they did lunge feeding where they come up below a school of fish and come straight out of the water!

That sounds amazing! I bet Randy would be up for it if we can save enough pennies for the flight :)

I had a great morning of henna! I was hired by one non profit for their fundraiser and then another non profit asked me to stay longer for their event! Woohoo! Gonna buy some heating oil hahaha

We're going to go out kayaking this morning with our guests, then go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I love taking people to both those places...who wouldn't want a core work out in the morning where they get to see otters?! We'll see a ton of wildlife and it will be awesome! I'm thinking if it's not too late after the kayak and aquarium we'll walk out to Lover's Beach which is an amazing walk along the shore. Then we'll take them to Phil's which is the best seafood restaurant - all locally caught.

See, you should plan a trip to come visit us! Soon we'll have the art studio built and it will be super easy to put people up. Although, I will say that having a small house has not been an issue with visitors.

We're only a short drive to San Francisco, Napa and so many fun California places to see!

Yes! Empty pools are the very best!

Ooo I like California hippy dippy stuff like that lol

I got my swim! The pool is so empty this late in the season every year, I love it.

It sounds like you're both having wonderful weather! Ours has been...well, okay, perfect. Our Italian daughter comes tomorrow with her new husband! (She is in Australia and married an Aussie!) We have some kayaking and (of course) visiting Big Sur, then as a wedding gift we gave them passes to a place in Carmel (reads one of the most exclusive places in Cali) called Refuge, where there are a ton of different warm/hot/cold pools and saunas with Eucalyptus/mint/peppermint, etc aromatherapy...but you're not supposed to talk. Total silence. It's fun and very California/hippy-dippy. I'm so excited to have them come!

We took a loooong walk at Longwood gardens today. I'm ever grateful to have such an amazing botanical garden so close by! Hoping to get one of my last outdoor swims for the season tomorrow... Summer went by so fast!

Carol, that really stinks. As an only child I'm prepared to do all of this myself if I have to, but you'd think at least two more out of 9 could help......

Sold two candles to the guy who works for me!! He's giving them as a gift. How nice!!

Have a great day everyone. Hope the weather is nice where you are. It's beautiful here! Cool overnight and up in low 70s during the day. Perfect!

Thanks guys. I am up at the inlaws right now, but we're heading back home and I'm very happy about that. Out of 9 siblings/step-siblings you'd think we'd have sufficient help to get this house cleared...but, nope. Nobody really wants to be bothered. I finished clearing out stuff from all four bathrooms, all closets and then worked on pressure washing the brick pool deck...that hasn't been done in probably 15 years. Joe will be 97 this year people! He can't really organize a move because he can't hear well enough to talk on the phone! Sigh. At least we were alone today.

Hubby's brother came to work on the house Sunday...it looks like he dumped stuff from one bathroom, but not the figurines and stuff, maybe he removed a couple of things from the utility closet...he said he didn't want to pressure wash on a Sunday because it was too loud.

I guilted the step-siblings into packing up their mother's china cabinet and a dresser. I said I was looking for just a tiny bit of help. He told me his wife has done lots of stuff for them over the last months...gee, so have we.

Okay, rant over.

Going home to try to get my house in shape for our Italian daughter and her new hubby!

Hi folks! I had a pretty good and active weekend with a decent amount of walking. Started off the new week with a visit to the free forest school for a nice woods walk and creekside play time :)

Carol, I saw your post too and I'm sure it's good to be back home. Hopefully things are done/settled now?

Good Morning!!! Happy Monday!!! I have to say I feel a bit off already today and I hope that isn't a sign that the day or week is going to be wonky. I think maybe I just had a really good weekend and I'm kinda sad to be back in the office.......the weekend was very nice and I got some stuff done I needed to do, and I got to relax, so maybe I'm just pining for the weekend to be back!

Feeling healthy and strong, so that's good!!

Carol, I saw your post about where you were, and it sounds like it's a good thing to be home!!

Have a FUN and ACTIVE day all!!!!
