Hello, first day here, just learned about your team. Don't have a lot to loose (about 8 pounds) just a bit I need to work back off before it becomes a bigger problem. Hope to find a bit of help here. Thank you.

Hello all, happy Friday the 13. It’s the last day before the weekend so let’s finish strong. I’ve had a good week so far and hoping for it to continue through the weekend. My allergies are extremely bad and are certainly not helped by the 40 mph winds over the last 2 days. Not going to complain too much though as I see people are still getting heavy snow throughout the country. Spring is off to a pretty slow start. Here in Las Vegas we figure it will go straight into hot, bypassing it all together.

Weigh in tomorrow. Posted a lost last week and hoping for the same again. My uptake in strength and core work seems to be paying off. It actually looks like I am becoming more hourglass shape and less box, LOL. One can only hope.

Have a fantastic Friday and keep moving forward.

Hello all. I have been logging in and posting points but not much else. I’ve got a stressful week going on.

My friend passed away and is no longer in pain. For this I am thankful though I will miss him greatly. Stress is insidious. You don’t even realize how much it affects your everyday. I am not eating ‘properly’, and sleeping is completely bunged up.

If not for being able to come here to my teams and the community for support and encouragement I can only imagine how much worse this week would be.

Reading the posts and responding with encouragement and support helps me as much, as I hope, my words help someone else. So thank you.

I will get back of to speed because giving up is not an option.

My appointment next wed pay day
I've been a member of jenny on and off forever
I remember the cost back then was steep.it works but I run out of money
I guess don't expect a lot loose and just don't stop no matter what road block I have

Way to go, Kay! I've been on and off a low carb/keto diet for several years now and when I'm off my plan, my blood sugars explode and I feel all sluggish. I've lost about 60 lbs now. But lately I've been having a hard time sticking to my plan!

Great statement, Candycane!

I, too, want to lose weight for better health and well-being. I've a knee that's been bothering me and trying to strength it naturally & relieve the pressure by losing weight. I'm following a low carb diet that is between keto & paleo; it works for me. So I need to stick to my plan and continue. I've lost 38lbs so far.

Today is my Day 1 and here is My Vision Statement:

Inspiration: I want to get fitter and lose weight so that I can enjoy the rest of my life with my best friend and husband and family. I don't want to spend it in a wheelchair or hospital bed because of bad habits I just can't let go. I want to lower my blood sugars to a healthy, normal level. My health is all I have and all that I do to improve my health will help me in the long run. So to be able to enjoy my latter years with my husband, children, grandkids and friends, I rethink my short term goals to include a healthier food intake and a more aggressive exercise program!

Direction: To do this, I will be incorporating short term goals and guidelines as follows:
1: Stay true to my Ketogenic/Low-Carb lifestyle by eating less than 20 net carbs a day.
2: Eating a moderate amount of Protein foods, not excessive, but including eggs, whole meats, that are not processed.
3: Drinking at least 8 cups of water a day.
4: Eating Veggies that grow above ground, excluding corn, lentils, beans, peas and all grains.
5: Exercising for a minimum of 10 minutes every single day. That is the bare minimum I'll do.

This is my Vision Statement!
