I met my sons for breakfast today and then they helped me get another 2 boxes for me to go through and decide what to keep and what to donate.

Also as the weather has improved I took the dogs for a walk. I had to pick mine up half way through the walk as she was getting tired and with her heart condition I did not want to over do it.

Hope you all had a great Saturday and remember to set those clocks forward.

Good evening all! It ha been a very busy day. Angela I am sorry for the loss of your friend. The weather here was cold but nice. I like a brisk day. I have caught up on all my work now I just have to scrub down my kitchen cabinets. I think I will do that tomorrow. Off to take a nice hot shower and then read. Turned all my clocks ahead already so my body will acclimate itself early. emoticon Hope everyone has a nice evening.

Barbera, the scales have a habit of not doing what we expect. Some thinks to think about, are you taking your measurements, if so did they go down? Are your cloths fitting different? Did you take in your belt another notch? How are you feeling? Ae you less tired, have more energy, in less pain, just feel better over all.

I'm not going to. I was given two weeks severance when I was let go, so I have at least another week to rest before I really need to start driving more to make money (I get paid next week). Right now, I'm just focusing on getting healthy. The sore tailbone just surprised me this morning. That's all. Otherwise, I think the yoga might be good for me. I'm already doing gentle yoga on a daily basis now.

I'm tired of living on the sidelines...I'm ready to get into the race!!!!!

I'm sorry to hear that, Angela. Losing someone near to our age or younger does open our eyes to our own lives and health. I know it has my own.

I just returned home from the chiropractor. I am having a rough day physically. I drive for Lyft right now, and I only drove for 2 1/2 hours last night, but it was the first time in over 6 weeks that I did, and I'm feeling it today. But I was up front with the chiropractor about it and he worked his magic on me. So, I might still go to the gym and get a workout in this afternoon.

Plus, a friend is a missionary in Thailand, and is hosting a yoga benefit tomorrow to raise money for his ministry. I have RSVP'd and plan on being there! I absolutely LOVE yoga, as it has completely improved my quality of life.

I'm tired of living on the sidelines...I'm ready to get into the race!!!!!

sad day yesterday - a friend of my husbands who is also our Notary Public passed away from a major heart attack. She was younger than either of us. Sure is an eye opener.

I think now I am more focused and hopefully will actually follow through. I do not want to die young.

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great day

Good Friday Morning! It is suppose to be nice but cold today. I can handle that. My daughter turns 28 today - where does the time go? I really don't feel 63! I have had a good breakfast, back from gym, and now working. I hope everyone has a very good day today! Do well! emoticon

Hi all...... taking advantage of the break between challenges to work on plan, schedule and focus!!!

Just missed my 5% goal last session by 2 pounds...but encouraged to see the scales move DOWN for the first time in a long time!

So now just need to tweak a few things and work on consistent exercise! ...... the 60 minute an average a day was/ is a great start - but it is done in mini sessions and not necessarily a true cardio workout, but for an 'old lady'....slow and steady is the name of the game. LOL

Staying away from sweets is easy ....until grandson or my daughter brings in fresh doughnuts or breakfast croissant sandwiches from the local doughnut shop ....but I'm working on it! emoticon

LOVED being part of the Rowdy Rebels and have requested to stay with that team

Let's use the break to reconsider goals, make whatever changes are necessary for our individual plans and bring our best to the next round!!!

Be blessed y'all!

Had something happen to mine a few days ago and decided I had washed it when I found it in the washer after having put clothes in dryer. Called Fitbit and was advised to put it in rice to dry out. Kept it 24 hours. Runs fine now! It was pretty hectic when we couldn't find it and it was several hours before I even thought about the clothes I had washed.

LOL! I got 30 minutes of a workout in trying to frantically search for my Fitbit charger!!!! LOL!!!!! It had fallen out of a basket I keep it in and into a spot that hid it from view. It took three round trips through the entire house before it was eventually found. At least a little bit of clutter has been picked up in the process! Ha!

As an air traffic controller, my husband is trained to read the raw weather data and he's surprised by how off the weather folks are off from what the raw data says. As for me, I never have to look for weather info because my husband seems to give me weather updates every few hours...weather is his thing. emoticon

Morning! So far the snow has been very light. I am thinking the only good job is that of meteorologist. You can be wrong and never get fired. All you have to say is "it moved slightly to the south and thus we did not get the accumulation we predicted", that is the kind of job to have. Well, I will wait and see. Hope you all have a good day. emoticon

This will be my third challenge. I have been with Spark for over 10 years, and even though my weight is not the issue, fitness is very much my issue. I've started working out more regularly and I'm starting to notice it. Thanks to my team I am more encouraged to keep going!

I will have been with SparkPeople TEN years in September. I think I joined the 5% challenges in 2010 and have only missed two (summer and fall 2017 due to injuries). I came back to the challenge with my beloved Teddy Bears this winter and will be climbing back into the CL seat this spring after a hiatus. After two weeks of chiropractic care, I've gone from being stuck sedentary to craving movement all of the time. Woohoo!!!!!

I'm tired of living on the sidelines...I'm ready to get into the race!!!!!

I started my time at Spark last spring with the Casual Travelers. I have been lucky to travel with them every challenge since then. So, that means I went through summer, fall, and winter. I have come full circle and hope to travel with them again (I love them ! I love the leaders!). Today the sun is out and like all days I have tons to do and so little time to do it. I hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

Beauty is about knowing and accepting who you are.

I started my first year of the 5% challenge Spring, 2014. This is my start of year number 5. I lost 70lbs. my first two years with this challenge. I gained back some, not all, during the yucky menopausal years since turning 50. One friend laughs, “50 for 50.” I am trying to get those new 50 off, and with the same Attitude—having as much fun as I did gaining them.
