In your regular grocery store, next to the regular rice -- you'll also find jasmine rice, also delicious.

Today I put some pinto beans in the slow cooker. Gonna have red beans & rice for dinner tonight, with some homemade cabbage slaw on the side.

Tuna salad with 2 cans tuna in water, chopped onion, celery, sweet relish (just a teaspoonful), chopped broccoli, dried dill weed (if I have apple or grapes, I'll add those too), and a big tablespoonful of Hellman's mayo. Have with a few whole wheat crackers.

Breakfast: Steel cut oats cooked with flaxseed and chia seed, regular vanilla almond milk (is sweet), berries & 1/2 banana sliced.

Today, I'm having baked fish with lemon pepper and Mrs. Dash along with a healthy salad for dinner. Have to balance those calories!

breakfast: oatmeal
Lunch: smart one frozen meal
dinner: baked chicken breast, rice, green beans.

Haven't been that great with snacks but Oscar Mayer, has these "Protein Packs", that have diced lunch meat, nuts and cheese cubes...they are pretty cheap ($1 at Walmart) and they do curb any hunger....

For breakfast, I choose Special K Cinnamon Pecan with nonfat milk. I also add a banana for added nutrition.

For lunch, I like tuna salad with diced Fuji apples on a couple of lettuce leaves.

For dinner, a hearty smoothie of sensible, healthy protein-packed meal.

My go-to dinner is cooked quinoa sautÚd with onions, garlic, shrimp and flavored with a little sesame seed oil and a teaspoon of hoisin sauce with a big salad.
