Have I ever discovered a gold mine! It seems the new research shows high-intensity training is the best for our health -- on all fronts, for weight loss, muscle building, promoting health-giving cells in our bodies. It's amazing! The whole idea is to take less time exercising, but do what you do at high intensity. Most well-known is HIIT -- high intensity interval training -- for aerobic exercise. Even more beneficial it seems is SLOW weight lifting to failure at about 8-10 reps. (only 5 core exercises) done only ONCE a week. I am loving this. Check it out. The first video explains how it works and the benefits. It's long--you can move it along. The second is a demonstration of it.

For the past 2 days this week, I've been doing at least 60 minutes of working out, balancing strength training and cardio.
I'm slowly getting back on the saddle. We've got this! Now for me to be consistent...

Since I choose to EAT right and DRINK right, I suppose you could say I LIVE right!

Staying with Yoga, but I have to get back to the walking. Cooler temps don't make it as inviting. And... but... there's that ignored elliptical exerciser in my basement. Enough excuses.

OK, Sorors, I'm committing to walking every day for 1/2 hour minimum. I make sure I include 4-6 hills in each session. So far so good every day this week.
