I see that the Week 2 challenge is food tracking. I am tracking all my food every day - it's the ONLY way that I lose weight. I aim to make all my nutrition goals, not just my calorie goals. The Nutrition Feedback always scolds me for being over on Vitamin A. It's the vegetables...which are high in carotenoids, not specifically Vit A. I also get scolded for being too high on fiber, also due to the veggies (especially beans, which I eat daily). Anyway, I'm certainly not going to eat fewer vegetables!

Another good day of walking in store for me. I am going thrift shopping at two stores a mile away. In the old days I would drive that far for things now days I walk walk walk everywhere!!!!

Idgie, I love that you're getting paid during a piece of your daily exercise. Woot!

I'm fighting being sick - my lot in like working with kids - my throat hurts so much it's hard to sleep, but I need to sleep to get over my throat hurting so much. Aargh! Just gargled with peroxide - that should knock the evil germs down for an hour or so.

I'm really glad I volunteered to do the mail run at work. It means I start out the workday with 15 minutes of very brisk walking, with hills and stairs, and I get paid for it!

this is my first 5% challenge so forgive me i am a little new to SP. starting Wednesday i will be doing mall walking. i am disabled and the neighborhood i live in isn't the safest. i will walking for an hour every monday , wedensday and friday as well 30 min. of yoga in the morning every morning and my physical theriapy daily. i will add more on as i can. i am 401 lbs now i hope by the new year i will be at lest 20lbs lighter.

gray and chilly but we will go walking after I finish my breakfast and a little Sparking time.
Then I need to get going on fall cleaning. Finish sorting vacation pictures so far I ordered 261 pictures but I am making two books. Still have Yellowstone and Independence Rock.

Katheryn i find i have the same problems when i skip a meal my brain tells it Okay to eat remember you skipped a meal today
plan each meal and two snacks is ny new plan.

I am proud of myself for making a spinach and orange smoothie (1 bunch of spinach, one orange, some aloe water) and drinking it all. Lots of fiber there!

I'm ready! My commitment for exercise during the challenge is 30 minutes a day, and I've been doing zero most days, so today I took a brisk 15-minute walk to get myself ready for the movement.

I batch cooked chicken stew in the crock pot two days in a row two kinds one with BBQ sauce instead of salt was not so good but hubby liked it so have a meal I can pop in microwave for him when I don't went to cook

Iím having Cataract Removal/Upgraded Lens Implant Surgery on my right eye this afternoon. Next surgery on left eye is scheduled for Oct. 16. Prayers requested for successful surgeries and speedy recoveries.

Weíre getting closer to Lift Off Team(s). So excited about getting an invite to join an individual team. I practiced over the weekend (Sat & Sun) for exercise minutes. I was in a family steps challenge on FitBit. I came in 2nd place with 24,108 steps/254 exercise minutes. My DH came in 1st place with 31,007 steps. WhooHoo!!! Having right eye cataract removal/lens implant surgery on Tuesday. Hope Iíll be good to go for the start of the Fall Challenge by Saturday. Iím going to try my best.

Kate great ideas for burrito. I love Mexican food. I will try and make my own low fat ones.

Laid back day today. No caretaker for my disabled hubby so I am hooked to house. I take long walks 6x a week and today is rest day.
I just made some low fat raisin/cinnamon cookies for hubby and me for a snack.

Kathryn, good to meet you! My legal name is also Kathryn, but only lawyers and bill collectors call me that. For a while in school, I insisted that my teachers address me as Kathryn; that stopped because I never answered to that name emoticon . Did you know that only 4% of all the Catherine/Kathryn's are spelled "Kathryn"?

You can still have burritos and not add weight. Not all burritos are alike. When I was working my lunch was a Cedarlane Low Fat Beans, Rice and Cheese Style Burrito with a large salad with tomatoes and a homemade vinaigrette. That burrito is big, yet it has only 260 calories. Costco used to carry it, Amy's Bean and Cheese burrito has 310 calories. El Monterey's Bean and Cheese burrito is 210 calories (but El Monterey has somewhat small burritos).

Of course, it is also possible to make your own burrito filling at home, and freeze it in portion-size and construct and heat your burrito at lunchtime. I'm about to do that with pork and tomatillo sauce because a pressure cooker makes that easy.

I need to take the time to do some batch cooking this weekend so I have healthy meals for me to eat when I come home from class to busy to cook. And than I have to remember to eat them. I had a healthy meal in the freezer last night and forgot about it and ate junk food. Brain on dumb some times.

Iím really looking forward to making new friends and reuniteing with other team mates. I need to get back on track and start feeling better and becoming healthier...thatís my number one goal.
