(I have decided not to continue on this team, because I want to do many types of workouts, not just miles. I am tracking active fitness minutes and allowing myself to do whatever I want that day). Sorry!

Monthly Goal: 168 Miles

Weekly Goal: 39 Miles

Daily Goal: 5.54 Miles (about 13,850 steps)

Additional Goal: (Added 02/28/20) This year, I'd also like to knock out as many World Walking routes as possible. So far, I've completed 6. Every day I add 2500 steps to my Around the World route, try to finish a short route (getting harder and harder as they get longer!) and then spend the rest of my steps on our group walk.

We can do it!

As Kerry did, I just divided 2,020 miles to the number of days. I did it by 360 days because I’m beginning today, January 5th

Yearly goal: 2,020 miles

Daily goal: 5.61 miles, about 13,300 steps that I will round to 13,500

Weekly goal: About 39.3 miles

May God Help me because the holidays decreased my steps to an average of 8,000 daily steps!

Just finished over 3000 miles for 2019 and now I will aim for 7.5 miles daily (18000steps) with the hopes of stretching that out to 3000 again.

I just divided 2020 by 365 and got a daily average of 5.53 miles/day. I am rounding that up to 5.55 miles/day which is just over 12,500 steps/day for my stride.

Make a goal for yourself for the year by doing the following.

Review your FitBit data (if you have it). Calculate your average miles walked daily, by looking at a month of data.

Pick a daily goal.... 6000 steps = 3 miles

Multiply that by 30 for your monthly goal... 180,000= 90 miles

Multiply that by 12 for your year goal. 1,080 miles by the end of 2020!!

***** My feet if I do more than I am, the left one breaks easily. My shoe sizes are: Left 8.5 (US) and my right foot is a 4 (US)

I was told I'd not be able to walk and end up in a wheelchair by the head Dr in the wound clinic if they did this surgery(big toe amputation I had an infected bone that after a year and a half would NOT clear up also other bones removed earlier). A friend LAUGHED when the Dr said this. He was NOT IMPRESSED and told her so harshly.
Her answer was "No, No, sorry you don't understand. Diane does NOT know what NO Means"
He now understands.

I'm in Australia and we measure in Kms. I walk roughly 1825kms per year, so my goal for 2020 is to increase this to 2020 kms.

I do about 2200 steps per mile, and my goal is at least 7500 steps per day = 3.5 miles. But I'm going to increase that to 4 miles per day, as a stretch goal. So...

4 miles x 365 days = 1,460 miles per year. I'll round that up to 1,500 miles as my 2020 goal.

My goals are to
get my feet and legs fit and healthy,
walk outside everyday,
build up my distance to 6 miles,
and build up my speed to a 15 minute mile.

Revised goals (taken a leaf out of Diane's book):
730 miles walked (average 2 miles a day)
1189 chapters of the Bible read (that's the whole Bible - 3.3 per day average)
61 hours of gardening (average 15 minutes/day March to October)
40 books read (will have my work cut out to read that many - 3.3/mth)

I agree, this will be a bit daunting; however it will be worthwhile to try --
also will be breaking it up throughout the day based on responsibilities
to others, while being responsible to myself ... I need this, too.

I would LOVE to be able to walk 2020 miles in 2020, yet I work full time ~ and I have a desk job. Some days, I have a difficult time getting in ANY steps, other days ~ I walk outside at lunch time and/or go to the nearby mall and walk. In June, 2020 my DD is getting married, I don't expect to do much exercise the few days leading up to the wedding and the few days following as we will more than likely have many out-of-town guests. Some day, when I'm retired - I can probably get in those 5 mile/day walks, but not yet. SO ~ I set a realistic goal for myself that I think I can achieve.

Review your FitBit data (if you have it). Calculate your average miles walked daily, by looking at a month of data.

Pick a daily goal....

Multiply that by 30 for your monthly goal...

Multiply that by 12 for your year goal.

OR work backwards...

Set a yearly goal...

Divide by 12 for monthly goal...

Divide by 30 for daily goal.

So... what's your goal?
