@On_A_DIET I use one on My sock to measure chair exercise. Just use to get an idea of movement. It's a sportline. About the size of a quarter. I get them on eBay. Usually under $10. I can accidentally reset it, but not as easily as some that you just look at it and it resets.

A store had chicken thighs on sale for .59 a lb. I got 100 pounds. Also burger for $1.99 a lb, have a lot in freezer but did grab 2 more 10 lb bags. I took my friend and he got a case of the thighs 40 lb, bag of burger, 11 lb pork roast for $16. not on sale but a big bag of dog food and oysters. We got all of this for a little under $200. The cashier couldn't believe how much meat we got.
We saved at least $60 on the chicken thighs. Usually they only go on sale for .99 lb.

The only bad thing was making smaller packages for freezing! They were in 10 lb bags. Just spilt in half.

Are you doing any pre black Friday shopping online? Did you find any good buys?

I ordered a Hoover vac from wm. It was $49. $41 off. I also saw the Lowe's ad yesterday and saw some things in it. The items are would like to have. So not sure whether going to get or not. But The dates for it are for the end of next week on some of the items. One item said started the 20th and another item had the 22nd. But for several days. And the dates are in small print.

Happy Shopping! Share your stories and finds!

@ON_A_DIET. I would get what I wanted for the gift. If I didn't, I would keep thinking about it. But then I have gotten things and felt off about it too.

My money is tight. I really don't splurge on any guilty pleasures. Enjoy your slim fast!

Have a great weekend!

The only splurge I have are my mochas. They make me happy.

Do you have a splurge that makes you happy? How do you justify that splurge?

@ON_A_DIET Sorry I missed this post, what did you decide? Is he a big coffee drinker?
I hate when someone does want something I don't agree with.

@PBVHCCVH that's great if you are capable and have the time to do it! How's it going?

Since the stores have change Black Friday sales, are you watching for the November weekly type sales? I see Walmart has sales starting I think Nov 4, some at 12 am and then next weekend at 7 pm etc. Really have to look at flyer pages (online posted).

I did something frugal today. After losing 55 pounds since June, most of my Fall and Winter clothes are way too baggy. Rather than spending a bunch of money to buy new clothes I have started taking my old ones apart and resewing them with new darts, etc. so that they will fit me okay!!

Use an UpWalker when walking outside as I am very unsteady.

For Christmas, I want to buy my priest a Keurig sold on Poshmark.

However, his secretary told me to buy him Wooden Classic TV Dinner Folding Trays with Storage Rack. These trays with storage rack just do not seem appealing to me. But, he did tell her he was wanting them. The secretary and I are like co-elves. He told her and I just happened to be asking. I have searched on Poshmark, but no trays there. The trays I did find are OK.

What do you think? Buy him the Keurig or get the trays?

Went to Farmer's/Flea Market yesterday. For lettuce 2 heads $1, red leaf lettuce 3/1; cauliflower heads 2/1; red and yellow peppers 4/1; grape tomatoes 2/1. Also at Sharp Shopper got more of the HVR; Johnsonville Italian loose sausage 1 lb packs 1.49.

I didn't get any but corn on the cob $2.75 a dozen, cheapest I saw all season!
And my friend stopped for cider $2.75. Last year it was $3.75. And that's paying .50 for a container. I usually take my own if I get any.

It is rather hilarious now that I think of it...

About 5 years ago, I bought an iced tea maker at a yard sale. I used the iced tea maker quite often until I figured making iced tea in the microwave was easier.

So, we through the iced tea maker out when cleaning out the basement.

This summer, I bought another iced tea maker at a yard sale. Really nice one too. Brand-new. Of course, I bought it. Used the iced tea maker once, then let set on the counter.

Yesterday, the roommates threatened that the iced tea maker would go bye-bye if I do not use. So, I got off my tush and make some iced tea with the iced tea maker. I plan on making iced tea with it from now on.

at F/F Market yesterday, I got 2 large Fall wreaths for $1 each. Has lots of those Fall berries on. Some color knocked off, will just have to get a marker out and color in.
I did get a big turkey flag and a Fall windsock for $1 each at thrift shop.
And got Starbucks cold coffee in fridge section 2/$1 for son. They sell for $5 each. And grape tomatoes in containers .25 cents each.

Always nice to find something we can use!s
GS got a chair at thrift store the other day. He saw it and really liked it. It folds flat. Looked new. I told him to get it or he would regret it. I said ok last chance. He went and got it. We weren't sure what it was called. I thought moon chair, I think he found that it was a circle chair. And sells for $50, good deal for $15.

Good for you! Never been to a Sam's club. I shop like you, know what I want in and out. But I hear they always have different things, so the people I know go up and down all the aisles too.

I went to Sam's Club this past week with my mind on 3 items. When I go shopping, I know what I want. I buy the items. I leave. 3 friends went up and down every aisle! My back hurt. I was thirsty. My mask was driving me nuts. But, I did leave with what I wanted and was a proud girl.

1. box of 50 Swiss Miss Keurig k-cups
2. professional size Dove shampoo/conditioner
3. 24 pack of Members Mark flavored sparkling water

All three were about $9.00 each. Total bargains.

A local store had burger on sale for $2.29 a lb. I called to see if I could get 100 lbs and I was able to. Not a store I go to. Also I found 4 packs reduced for $1.99 lb that I grabbed. Also got for DIL boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.39. Bulk in 10 lb bags. They did have some other things I should have gotten but didn't. Like bone in pork loin roasts for $1.19 lb. I have gotten them cheaper but not in quite awhile.

@SUN_SET91 Welcome to the team! Please share any Frugal finds you may come across.

Found some reduced ready to go salad bowls for .29 each. Each of the items are in individual compartments. They even have forks in them. The had quite a few, but sadly only had a couple of types I like to eat. Some had things in them I don't eat. Also got a couple more pre made snack items 4/1; I have quite a few in freezer yet from last shopping trip.

@ON_A_DIET What did you choose to study? We all have different interests so you had to make the choice yourself. I probably would have went with Fitness and Nutrition as I am overweight and might have helped me.

Hello! I need your opinion!

There are many free on-line courses from many respectable universities. I would love to further my education and for free? Heck yeah.

This is where you come in... What classes should I take? Should I work on a Master's?

If not a Master's, then atleast on something.

Kindly do not tell me computers. I would be bored out of my mind.

I just do not know.

I have studied Political Science. I have studied Fitness and Nutrition.

With Political Science, I just do not think I want to get mixed up in politics anymore.

With Fitness and Nutrition, there really are not many jobs in this area near me.

I would appreciate any advice.

Thank you!

This week I got cheese meat snack packs 6/1, I got quite a few and froze them, day old Pepperidge farm potato bread/sliders rolls 1 pk, GS likes the potato bread items.

The 2 stores I went to, also had TP in stock. DG had it frequently throughout this time. The other store didn't.
