I knew you wouldfind a way thru!

The primary condition I have is Chiari malformation. Its presence can cause many other conditions in my head, and body. I have been slowly working to learn my body now that I know what it wrong with it and how to overcome obstacles that will be present in my life because of this condition. The biggest problem I seem to have is finding a dr that works with it and one that looks past my size as a primary cause of my health issues. I can acknowledge my size is not perfect, but losing the weight is not going to change the skull I was born with. Yes there are surgical options available to me, but the results I have read from patients do not provide me with confidence that surgery is a permanent solution to the problem either, kwim?

Well, the experiment worked in my favor again this morning. Down another lb. So, getting in a good walk a copule of hours after you eat is definitely helpful. I did it again tonight, but I ate much later than usual. I normally cut off my eating by 3 or 4. I finished dinner tonight around 5:30, and took a 2 mile walk with my husband. We'll see how things look in the morning. I'm ready for those numbers to start coming down. I'm determined to reach my 30 lbs. lost mark by Friday the 26th. That's only about 2.5 lbs. Yes, I can!

I should be more involved with the 'Breaking 200' team. I'll go over there today and see what's up.

I tried something new yesterday. I've been eating pretty much the same thing everyday (won't get into the particulars. Suffice to say, it's not even remotely healthy). But I've been keeping the volume down to a minimum. It's been enough to maintain, but not enough to lose. The day before yesterday, I came home and took a nap because my allergy pills had kicked in really badly. I went up a lb. eating the same thing I had every other day when I maintained. Yesterday, I went for a 1 mile walk after work (maybe 2 hrs. after eating). I went down a lb. Hmm... So, my body likes it when I get activity within a few hrs. of eating. This is interesting.

I'll try it again today, and let you know how it works out. I am feeling a little of that 'mojo' brewing inside. I listened to one of my Paleo podcasts today on my morning walk, and started to get energized about feeding my body good foods that will lead to overall health and wellness -- weight loss or no weight loss. That's a good thing, right?

The condition you spoke of, I've never heard of it before. What's it called? Sounds painful. Sorry to hear you're having to cope with that. Not knowing anything specific about the condition, I would guess that minimally imactful exercises like yoga or pilates would be best. 80% of what we weigh has to do with what we're eating anyway, so better to focus on what's going into your mouth.

And I need to take a piece of my own advice. I may do a little shopping today, and see what I can whip up in the kitchen this evening.

Have a great day.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

Ok i joined over on the leaving 200ville team, but it looks less active than this team. There is definitely more support on the breaking 200 team.

Congratulations on the gig. I hope it went well. I know that for performers getting calls for their talents is the ultimate compliment.

I need to create a new home work out. Unfortunately my drs have looked at me stupid when I ask for advice as to the best exercises to do to help me lose weight with the condition i have. I guess they don't understand how much it can hurt when your brain sags down on your spinal cord to have it bounce around doing cardio exercises.

I got called to do a out of town performance on Saturday (last minute) and didn't get to attend my meeting. I expect my weight would have stayed the same, though. Which is a victory. I'm just ready for progress.

When I workout at home, I usually run up my stairs 5x, then do a variety of body weight exercises -- pushups, pullups, crunches, bicycle reps, leg lifts, etc. Then another 'stair sprint' 5x. Just something to keep me moving.

Looking forward to 'Breaking 200' with you. My goal was to get there by the end of the year, but I've got to snap out of this funk before then. I'm considering doing some fruit and vegetable only days this week and beyond. My husband's game to do it with me, so that always makes it easier.

Looking forward to making my way out of this 'Ville' soon... Have you joined '200-Ville' yet?

I jump on the scale in the evenings on non weigh in days... It isnt as legitimate as getting on in the morning but it keeps me from trying to log my weight on here. I can watch if my weight decreases or not. The other night my weight at night had dropped to 210.something, which I knew meant that my morning weight would have to be lower.

How did your weight watchers meeting go?

I joined breaking 200 so I could follow you to Onederland. I don't anticipate getting ther before the start of the new year, but it would be nice.

What are you doing for your at home work outs?

Congrats on making it out of town (couldn't figure out if you were saying you're out already or not). Either way, congratulations to you. I'm determined to make it out as well -- whenever that happens.

Right now, my focus is maintaining. That's a skill. My norm is to gain. My weigh in at Weight Watcher's is tomorrow. Not sure if I've gone up at all. Haven't really gone down. That much I know.

I'm actually enjoying my in-home workouts. Kind of surprises me.

Have you surveyed the land in 200-Ville? Have you joined the team 'Breaking 200?' My goal is to be in 'Onederland' by the end of the year.

Being the scale obsessive freak that I am I know that this week I will finally be able to step out of the 210 ville and into the next leg of my journey. Hopefully I will never return to these weights again. I am still working to return our household to the made from scratch standard we once had. The less boxed/canned processed goods we consume the easier my weight loss seems to be.

I understand trying to ride out cravings myself. Last night I really wanted a candy bar. It was all i could think about while i talked with a friend. In the end I made some chocolate chip pumpkin muffins and regular pumpkin muffins then I ate one. It wasn't a candy bar, but I realized how much sugar is in pumpkin bread and know now to limit my consumption of the stuff!

I'm not doing couch 2 52k or anything. I'm not really pushing myself hard during my walk/jogs. Just trying to make it enjoyable. If I feel like pushing myself and running 1/2 of it, I will. Otherwise, it's just a brisk walk. I've been doing power runs up the stairs at home, and body weight exercises a lot lately. I'm trying to transition into more home workouts again since the weather's cooling off.

It's not really an unexplained plateau. My eating habits are not great lately. The best I can do is just ride out the cravings & try not to overdo it. I'm working now on at least losing the 2 lbs. I've gained in the last couple of weeks. Thankfully, I'm not eating large volumes of food -- just not making the best choices. But, this too shall pass. Just trying not to have too much ground to make up when it does.

I saw on your page that you are jogging for cardio, do you have a plan that you are following like the couch to 5k or are you just pushing yourself to your limit each time you run?

Have you been running since you had the schedule change?
Do you track your calories/points?

I am just trying to think of other reason you may have plateau ed after doing so much better than i have.

I hope you have a great day.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm really not sure what the problem is. I've gone through lots of chaos over these last 5.5 months, but something's just different. This would usually be the point where I slowly allow my resolve to erode, but I'm making the conscious choice not to do that. This too shall pass. I know it will. I went to my Weight Watchers meeting, and I was up 1.8 lbs. over the last 2 weeks. I know that if I completely let go, I could have been up 8 lbs. in 2 weeks, easy. So, I'm working on maintaining control even through the feeling of being out of control. New job. Lots of instability in other areas. Changing weather. Allergies in high gear. Always tired. Again, this too shall pass. Welcome, Lolly! Sorry I'm a downer these days, but I'm glad to have you. Looks like you've done great with weight loss even without major exercise. It really is 80% diet. Lots of success to you! DrawnThisWay--- I definitely need to do better with water. That would help the allergies and maybe the sleep. I'm working it out. NOT LETTING GO. Accepting the struggle, and pullling through.

Hi lollie! If you are doing any exercise you are doing better than doing nothing than sitting on your duff. Welcome to the 210 ville!

Mutant queen, you will find something to help you thru this plateau. Make sure you are getting your water and sleep in each day. That seems to be my big weakness. I tend to let those things slip when I start feeling like my life is in chaos.

Speaking of sleep i did not get quality sleep last night so i did not weigh in this morning. I will have to weigh in tomorrow.

Big life changes are... well, a big deal. Nice work hanging on thru them. Still being here, still giving a rat's arse, is a good thing. So I tell myself.

I wasn't willing to claim I'd exited 220ville until I was really sure. I'm finally there. I haven't been here since forever ago. It's kind of scary.

My big issue is exercise. I don't do much. I am trying to swim a couple of times a week. Pathetic.

I've been treading water the last 2 weeks trying to get used to some major life fluctuations. New job. Lots of life shifts going on. The good news is, I haven't gained any weight. The bad news is, I haven't lost any either. Time for a regroup.

The last time I was this weight was when I was 39 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. He will be 8 this winter. I will gladly wander through 200 ville with you, but it will probably take me much longer than you to exit the village than you. Good luck and i look forward to updated pictures!

No problem,

I said I would be consistent on the boards, no matter what, so I'm here regardless. Glad to see you though. And I'm hoping to be out of 210-Ville by the middle of next month. So, hopefully we can forge on to 200-Ville together. This will be a first for me. I did make 210-Ville a couple of years ago, very briefly, but never 200-Ville. So excited. I'm hoping to see 'Onederland' by the end of the year.

Lots of schedule fluctuations and volatility in my life right now, but I haven't started the slow creep up the scale, and I don't plan to. Still consistently working out every day. Loving my morning walk/jogs. 10/26 will make 6 months of steady weight loss progress for me. Hard to believe it's already upon me.

Stop in anytime!

I am sorrymutant queen ihave no been checking inhere as i should. I have beentrying to get things in order in my house, just supervise the team on which I am marker "leader" and school my kids. Within the last couple of weeks I have seen a local dr who has referred me to mayo clinic in Jacksonville fl, so i kind of anxiously await a call from them.

Ishould work on being less self centered. Inthe meantime I have been gradually working my way out of the 210 ville. Ijoined some time last year (how is that for gradual?) and am finally down to about 211 lbs. i am hoping tofinally make it out of 210 ville befor halloween this year! (ok so hopefully next weigh in!) but i willstick around and check on you. :-D

I follow several of those rules most of the time. I try not to get too crazy with the clothing, and not drinking water, etc. I figure it'll all even out in the end anyway.

Conrary to what I said, I did not go grocery shopping this weekend. I got caught up doing other things, so I guess I'll have to hustle and do that today. I've started a new temp job, so my challenge is to learn to flow with this schedule. It's tougher than usual. I have these kinds of assignments from time to time. They're just tougher to adjust to than most. I don't know why. It always seems to affect my weight loss. I've been stagnant for about 10 days now, and I'm ready to begin making some downward progress.

I've been enjoying my walk/jogs in the mornings. I haven't been killing myself with exercise. I just want increased cardiovascular endurance, and good muscle tone. Today may be a toning day. I missed my morning workout, so that may be a sign that I just need to do some body weight exercises this evening. After shopping, of course.

Good to know there's someone knocking around this ghost town besides me. I doubt 200-Ville is any different. But I guess the joy is just being there. I can't complain. I'd rather be talking to myself in 210-Ville than engaged in serious discussion in 230-Ville.

W-I TO SHOW WT-LOSS IS BOTH AN ART AND A SCIENCE.

1 ) STAY WITHIN YOUR CALORIES OR POINTS BUDGET FOR 7 ENTIRE DAYS.

2) EAT PLENTY OF FIBER AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER TO MAKE SURE TO GO TO BR.

3) TRY NEVER TO EAT AFTER 7 P.M.

4) WALK MORE AND MORE EACH DAY OR TWICE EACH OF THE 7 DAYS.

5) THE DAY BEFORE W-I STOP EATING AT 4:00 TO 5:00 PM; NOTHING ELSE BY MOUTH

5) EXCEPT FOR ONCE EVERY 3 - 4 MOS. TAKE 2 CARTER'S LITTLE PILLS WITH 2 CUPS WATER AROUND 6:00 TO 7:00 P.M. TO MAKE SURE TO GO IN A.M.

6) W-I DAY:

NO BRKFAST BEFORE W-I, NOTHING BY MOUTH BEFORE W-I

EACH W-I WEAR SAME CLOTHES EXACTLY, LIKE CYCLING PANTS AND T-SHIRT AND UNDERWEAR AND SOCKETTES

WEAR NO JEWELRY NO WATCH NO SHOES NO SWEATERS NO BELTS NO JACKETS FOR W-I

MAKE-UP ALLOWED FOR W-I

LOTSA LUCK!

Having a really 'off kilter' sort of week. Started a new temp job. Trying to get used to the schedule and the location and lack of healthy affordable options nearby. I need to go grocery shopping, and really plan my meals for next week. That will be priority #1 this weekend. Until then, I'm just working on not seeing a gain at my Weight Watcher's weigh-in on Saturday. Time for another power walk...

Guess I'm having one of those never-ending one-sided conversations I tend to have when slogging through the 'Ville's'. I promised myself I would continue to post, no matter who was or was not here, so I guess I'll just continue to keep myself entertained.

I made Paleo pancakes, which turned into Paleo muffins, which turned out to be a total disaster. I'm allergic to almonds, and apparently that includes almond flour, which I apparently do not know how to cook with. The whole thing is just a soggy nightmare, and I feel I need to walk off the excess. Which I'll do now.

It's hard to believe, but as of this morning, I only had 3 more lbs. to go before I'm out of this 'Ville'. I have the feeling they'll take their time about leaving.

Still I rise...

Paleo eating has been going well this week. I'm still keeping it simple. Lots of ground meat stir fry's with vegetables. Trying to stay away from dairy. Still trying to work up to letting go of the coffee with creamer and artificial sweeteners in the mornings. My stomach has not been happy with all the lactose. The scale has moved down slightly. We'll see how I fare at my official weigh in at Weight Watcher's on Saturday. I've been hovering right above my 10% lost mark for weeks. I'm only .8 lbs. away from it. Thinking of experimenting with 'Paleo pancakes' on Saturday just to see if it satisfies my cravings for my current favorite indulgence. Almond flour is expensive! Might just be cheaper to do Ihop.

Week 3 of Paleo went well. I lost 3 lbs. Had my 16-week marker at Weight Watcher's today. I didn't quite hit my 10% goal, which is loosely where they want you to be by this point. I'm 2 lbs. shy of that. Not bad, but I could have done better. Slow and steady wins the race, though. Tomorrow is my 4 month-iversary on this current weight loss effort. I guess 25 lbs. in 4 months is decent. If I did the same thing in the next 4 months, I'd be 50 lbs. lighter than I was in April by the end of the year. Wow. When you look at it that way, it's pretty exciting. Paleo is treating me well. The key is to not get out of hand on the weekends when I'm giving myself a few indulgences. I'm' really working on getting that under control. I've gone a little lighter in the exercise department in the last week. I've bought my first set of weights, and have started doing weightlifting on my own. I can definitely feel the soreness. I'm really looking forward to seeing some definition in my arms, and being able to do pushups! Haven't done a real one in years. Looking forward to the milestones the next few months will bring. I'm now down to the lowest I've been in about 7 years. Looking forward to 'Onderland'....

Day 1 this week of eating Paleo wasn't perfect, but it was effective. The hardest thing is giving up hot chocolate in the mornings. I know it's for my own good. I'll have to find some decaffinated tea that I like. I also need to go shopping, and look for new meal ideas. I'm a little slow on the uptake this week. I'll get it together.

Yes, Lovingwolf. I remember you. Don't remember which group we were in together. No telling. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I'll be entering my 3rd week of Paleo starting tomorrow. I'm ready to see some steady losses. I'm having to relearn some weight loss lessons from days gone by. I learned a lot about how my body responds to certain foods (like beef) and what the proper hydration level is for me a couple of years ago. I'll be working on applying those lessons in the coming week.

I've been in a bit of a pity party the last couple of days, because I seem to lose weight so much more slowly than I think I should. This would normally be the point where I give up, but I will absolutely not go down that path again. I'm in this for the long haul. I'm staying committed to myself and my weight loss goals. I wrote a blog post about it today.

Glad to still be in the fight. Have a great week, everyone!

Hey :) I'm pretty sure I spoke with you before Queen :)

So I'm in week 18 of my pregnancy yay. I haven't gained to much as of yet a total of 3 lbs so far. I would say not to bad. Trying to keep my weigh under control but I stopped working out for a long while now. I miss it but sometimes I'm just so tired I don't wanna do anything. I really should workout it seems my stress is a little high trying to get baby stuff togetheir and we are spliting our house up between my parents and my little family so we can have our own area. Just overwhelming and stressful or so it feels. Luckily not every day I feel like this. Plus my doctor gave me the ok to workout doing some walking videos or just low impact and no kickboxing lol. I feel pretty good but just tired. but quess that's to be expected. Well just wanted to come in and say hi. Keep up the amazing work peeps!!

The good news is, I avoided the extra cup of hot chocolate this morning. I got a little carried away at dinner tonight, though. My sister made taco salad, and it was great! Still within the Paleo guidelines -- just no tortilla shell. We'll see how the scale treats me tomorrow...

Fighting the 'bump up' syndrome. My body seems to know when it's in territory it hasn't been in for a while. There's a little resistence. It's futile. I'm excited about getting down to a place I haven't been in 7 years -- below 217. It will happen. Changes in schedule, and overindulgent weekends are not the most helpful things. I just have to remind myself that things will steady out. I'll also take it easy this weekend, and work on actually continuing to lose, rather than leveling out, or even gaining like I did this weekend. I guess better planning is key. One more day to get it right.

It took me 46 days to leave '220-Ville'. Not sure about the other 'Ville's'. I'm hoping to move through 210-Ville smoothly. I'll try not to put a timeframe on it, but I'd like to avoid the plateaus I dealth with in 220-Ville. I'm working out every morning, and sometimes going for walk/jogs at night. Paleo seems to fit with my husband and I's lifestyle pretty well, so that's what we're doing right now. I really like that I don't have to obsessively count calories anymore. I take the weekends off and have some (moderate) splurges, then get right back to it on Monday. It's working well so far.

Hello Ladies. I wanted to say hello. I'm fresh from 220-Vlile after leaving 230-Ville and 240-Ville. So I'm SUPER excited to be here. I'm a pretty regular poster, even if there's no one here to converse with. It keeps me on track.

Right now, I'm experimenting with the Paleo lifestyle, and I'm liking it very much. It got me here after a 2-week long plateau!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone...

yay :D back in 210 ville!! Congrats! And congrats on your new addition to your family. Rescuing an animal is such a blessing.

so so far I lost weight and now I am falling gaining weigh for my pregnancy. I went down to 208.8 and now I'm up to 211.8 only down .2 from my prepregnancy weight. So I feel that's good so far. I'm in my 15th week or so that's what babyfit says. And I'm eating pretty healthy although my craving for sour patch kids went to a new level. It feels like it's a daily thing. And they taste so unbelievable to me. Luckily I can eat a whole bag that's like 300 calories but that's also like 50 grams of sugar yikes! Trying to stay away from it. But I'm sure you know how cravings are it just doesn't want to go away till you had some. And I can't seem to stop after a few :( I've been adding my WATP's videos again to my weekly routine trying to get at least 15 mins a day in of exercise to try to keep active. So far feeling exhausted all the time has not helped me in achieving that. Oh wellz...

Oh and last night I found an awesome deal for a crib on craiglist for only $50 bucks. It's really nice quality so happy I found a good buy. I know it's a bit early but for the price I couldn't pass it up. I think the only thing I have left to buy for the baby is a bassett I think... most of my family and his family is going crazy. So Blessed for that but have no idea where we are placing all these things lol. Gotta love it :)

Congratulations Tammy! Being pregnant was alwaybs so enjoyable for me. I always had such easy pregnancies. I tried to look at each thing as a positive, including labor....I look forward to hearing about your journey to motherhood!

You should be able to work out during your pregnancy. Do not over exert yourself and remeber that the early stage of pregnancy you are only feeding a couple of extra cells, not a full extra person ;-)

As for me, during the last week we rescued a dog. He is 10 months old and came wirh the name Junior. This past weigh in I finally broke back into the 210 ville by weighing in at 219.8. I am waiting for a new dr to look over my medical file and book my appt. this weekend I have a date night with hubby. We are going to see Tim Hawkins at a local church. Then on Sat. We will take the whole family to a home school convention in Atlanta. We will be starting our school year up soon and I am just looking for some guidance as to how we navigate the laws here now.

Mary so happy you got the house togetheir and internet again :D I've missed ya hun!

I wanted to give you an update bout me :) I ended up leaving the job that was full time. I found out that I am pregnant :) Go figure waiting forever to get pregnant I get pregnant when I am not expecting it or ready lol. Either way I'm happy. So I should be on a bit more often. I just started working out again cause of not being sure if I should or not. I don't want to lose the baby. Also I've lost a few lbs being pregnant but I was told that's completely natural and not to worry bout it. So I started doing WATP's videos again only a mile at a time thou. I really don't wanna over do it.

And also welcome to the two new members :) Happy to see someone was keeping Mary company :)

Thanks Hub! I am working with my drs to try to figure what all is wrong with me so that hopefully losing weight becomes easier. But right now every day it really feels like a struggle. Your ticker says 211 so you are very close to leaving here!

Congrats on dropping back down to 224. It's always frustrating when you're just a few pounds away from a goal and you gain-lose-gain-lose. I'm on that roller coaster right now. I just can't seem to get out of this darn village. emoticon
