I ran my first 5K race (ever) on this past Sunday!!! I did it in 30:58 without walking once!! So excited! It was a lot of fun and I am running another on on June 5th. I also joined my local running club so I can start running with them on Wednesday nights (5K fun runs). I never thought I would ever enjoy running, but I have come to love it.

I did it. W4D3. Now onto week 5. I also need to find a race. I want to do one for a cause like diabetes or cancer. I must do a web search to find one near me.

My body is getting stronger, slimmer, and healthier everyday!

Yes, I did it. I saw my one month before picture and race day and couldn't get over the difference. I should have taken measurements. I took a week off from running and start today training for my next race.

I completed my first non-5K race (OK, it was 3.5 miles, so not a HUGE difference) and completed it in 38:15. This was so amazing for me, because it was an 11-minute mile. I started running C25K at 16-minute miles, so it just proves that by hard work, you can do anything you set your mind to!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

We have to know that sometimes people will let us down. Caring about others and loving others takes risk and probably more than we have in us most of the time. But I think the more we put out there, we'll have something returned greater than we could have imagined.

Ran my First EVER 5K yesterday moring. Finished in 37.46........did't get the chance to finish the 9 weeks as the only 5K in my area (still had to drive 3 hours to get there) was at the end of my week 6 training. C'est la vie!
Thanks Team for all the support to help me accomplish the 5K goal!

NBERGNER...Great Job on the 5K and your personal best time. That is terrific. I was also inspired by the fact that your children did so well. You are teaching them great healthy habits! Wonderful!

APATRICIAP521: Awesome job on completing the 20 minutes. It is so empowering isn't it?

Kiki: Great job on your 5K!!
Remembrance: Great job of doing so well in spite of your injuries. Way to push through.

I am getting ready to go and do my W7D1....and came here for inspiration before I go (and perhaps a little bit of a stall tactic. lol) Okay...off I go.

I ran (the entire time) my first 3K race (in 24 minutes)!!! This was in spite of hurting my right ankle three weeks ago and my left one week ago (I have Achilles tendonitis in both ankles, and ramping up to this goal was very tough on them).

I am now going to start working toward a 5K!!!

I did it! I entered and walk/jogged my first 5K. I am in W4 of the C25K but I did it anyway just wanting to complete it. I had a few extra runner who wanted to go along so I said great and registered my 14yo son, 9yo and 7yo daughters. We all did a great job I shaved 6 mins off my best time to finish in 43:50. The best news is Curtis finished in 23:42 as the first male 14 to 9 age and my daughter Meghan finished in 27:53 as the first girl 14 to 9 age. My other daughter ran/ walked with a family friend and finished in about 30 mins they missed her time. I can't wait to run in June because I know I will be able to run the whole thing.

I did the facebook-based Budget 5K Challenge on Thursday!

I did it in 56 minutes - might have been 55, but I forgot to write it down. Close enough.

I think this run was w8d3.

Someday I'll add a little speed, probably sooner than I think. Till then, I'll keep doing it slow.

I FINALLY DID IT! I've started (and stopped in the middle) this program about 3 times. This time, I started back up at week 4. After I hit the 20 minute run...I started to do my own thing. I did 30 minutes, then 35 minutes then finally ran a full 5k in 42:15.

I ran a 5k again yesterday in 41:20.

This program seriously works. I've run 3.1 miles twice so it's no fluke haha. Now, my new goal is to work on speed using intervals along with running the 5k distance!
